My husband used to be in the Navy and we had many moves over the years. At last count it was about 14 moves all over the country. This time we moved our daughter from her apartment in San Francisco to our hometown, San Diego. Zapt Movers office staff were very easy to communicate with and kept us updated on the arrangements. On the day of the move the two gentlemen arrived on time and prepared to load the truck. The apartment is located on a very steep hill and is a 4th floor walkup! That means NO ELEVATOR! The men never complained and took the stairs with 2-3 boxes at a time. They were very strong guys. The furniture was disassembled and wrapped in pads. Upon arrival in San Diego they placed the boxes exactly where we wanted them and unwrapped the furniture. I gave them a solid 5 star rating because everything was on point and there was no damage. Good job! . read more

I was a little nervous choosing them with the lowest price after I had issues with my last move but they were absolutely amazing! They arrived early, worked very efficiently and finished more than an hour earlier than expected time! I am beyond impressed and will definitely be using them in the future if needed! read more

Short version....They were awesome!!! I am so glad that I chose Zapt movers and could not be happier with how the move went. They were so professional, helpful and easy to work with. Longer version.....From the first phone call to the office, to the delivery they were professional, helpful and provided status updates regularly. The office team and customer service group were very responsive and were in contact on several occasions. Stress was getting high but a couple nights before the move, I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with a customer service rep going over the inventory and they walked me through every detail of the move. What to expect, what to be prepare for and the timeline. I instantly felt relieved and knew I chose the right company! Move day was was smooth and the guys that came were so friendly, fast, efficient and helpful. They took great care in wrapping all the furniture and handled the take down of the tv and bed. We also had a couple of paintings and art work that needed extra care. They were prepared and packed those separately in padded boxes. Delivery the next day went just as smoothly. I received status update on their arrival. They went above and beyond to make sure that things were set up and ready to go, even offering to help find the cables and remote for the tv. Bottom line......everything arrived in one piece, not one thing was broken, and they took the extra time to make sure that things were set up and good to go! I spoke to several other movers, most were very pleasant, but it meant a lot to have movers that took it from start to finish. A lot of the movers now put your stuff in the back of a container (or front of someone else's items) and move it when they are going that way. No guarantees on delivery time (could be a week or more for delivery) and then hire someone else at the delivery site to unload. Lots of unknowns! With Zapt Movers there were NO surprises and I would highly recommend them!! read more

I'm glad that I choose Zapt Movers I'm satisfied with my moves that takes place on 9/18/21 The time they arrive on my place there's still a lot of my stuff that needed to pack and the crews helped me with my packing And wrapping all the fragile breakable items They are fast, efficient and professional And they kept their mask for the whole times When they get to my apartment They able to assemble my bed, couch and place all heavy boxes where it needed to be I'm so happy with my move it goes smoothly. The customer service that help me nameAllesandra, Luiza are excellent!! Thank you all to make my move happen I would recommend you all to my friends and families Thank you Zapt!! read more

Moved me from Oakland to Southern CA last week. The move itself went well and movers were efficient and courteous. However, once I went through my stuff I discovered all of my most valuable furniture was damaged because they didn't blanket wrap any of my furniture and must have been extremely rough with it. Solid oak dining room table had huge dent in it. Sofa legs have multiple dents. Designer living room chair metal seat weld had completely separated and leather ripped. And these were just the major things - also floor lamps bent, art work scratched, etc. What's worse is they are doing nothing to rectify the situation (even though the contract clearly stated they would wrap furniture and that wasn't done) and now aren't even responding to my emails. Extremely disappointing experience. Beware. UPDATE: Fabio's "offer" was to submit an insurance claim for $187 in exchange for my total release. I told him immediately that wasn't acceptable. And my contract with Zapt clearly guaranteed that all furniture would be blanket wrapped and NONE of these items were. The plastic wrap wasn't even done by them. It was done by prior movers when the items originally went into storage. read more

UNRELIABLE!! We scheduled our move with Zapt and we made it very clear that the building we were moving to only took appointment and after certain hours they wouldn't allow us to move in. We postponed our moving date to accommodate Zapt's availability and ended up with an apartment fully packed and no movers showing up on time. During my calls and message with their representative, it was explained that they couldn't finish the moving scheduled for morning in time. I questioned a bit further and the final message was that they tried to squeeze as many clients as possible. They were scheduled to come between 2-5pm and right at 2.37pm I get a message saying that they're 70 minutes late?! Ok, deep breath. We had a one bedroom apartment and even if they got there by 03.30pm, we thought that we would still be able to finish moving by 6pm. But then guess what? At 4pm I received a call saying they were still on their way and 30 min from us. What the heck?! Didn't we highlight and mentioned many times that we needed that specific day and time? Didn't I receive the ETA text?? The I heard other excuses, such as the truck broke and the company putting the blame on the client, which only emphasized how unreliable they are!! They made us fill forms with the size, amount and every detail of the moving and putting the blame on the previous moving client after saying that the truck broke was just too low!!! At the end and right in the middle of moving season, we had to pay extra to stay in our apartment and postpone our moving to when somebody else would be available to help us carry all our stuff. I contacted a Chinese and small company and they did the move cheaper, faster and they respected the time allocated by our building to have us moving. The guy said that they were super busy but they could make it happen. Since we had to pay a lot to stay in our previous apartment, we took the chance and it was a first class experience. It's not a matter of being a big or small company. It is a matter of respecting the client and Zapt Movers overlooked us and to squeeze in more clients. And then 1-bedroom apartment, which wasn't a big sale, got screwed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! And beware! If the review has a Latin name, chances are that they asked friends to post it. Filter and learn from it instead of just believing in the stars! read more

My move was from San Francisco Bay Area to Orange County. The move went smooth. My movers were Sese and Eve and they loaded and unloaded everything and there was no damage. Thais assisted me with going over inventory and giving me an estimate. The estimate I received is exactly what I ended up paying plus 15% tip. I'm happy to recommend this moving company to others and thank you Zapt Movers. read more

These guys are the best!! They are so organized and have a jolly attitude when working. Thais is the sales manager and she started with us and worked with us almost until the end. Reasonably priced as well. Then Luiza took over and this move went forward without a hitch! The crew was so friendly and happy as they worked together and got the job done and we had a big job for them:). Thank you one and all at Zapt! Muchas Gracias! read more

Hired Zapt Movers for a long distance move from San Francisco to San Diego. After promising me they would arrive between 8-9am to load my truck (& of course, me planning all subsequent logistics including my move in to my new place & an 8-9 hr drive), they don't let me know until I've called at 9:30 that they actually can't come until 2 or 3 to load. The day before they called me 8 times giving me extremely mixed messages about what time my stuff would be delivered. Overall, not very reliable. I was looking forward to working with them because I felt the booking process was good but this is extremely disappointing. Update: they were able to come at 1pm to load instead of 2-3 & the crew was professional, kind & efficient. They also delivered my things on time. I wanted to give them another star because I felt they redeemed themselves somewhat, but they continue to blame me not "understanding" the reschedule that they did not communicate to me at all. When I was called, I was given the incorrect date & confirmed the correct one. The Customer Service Agent said "you're right, I'm sorry. I meant x date" & then the next day (& in the response below) proceed to tell me I was notified. I also did not get an email like they said I did. I'd be a lot happier if they didn't try to gaslight me when they obviously made a communication error & just owned up to the mistake instead. read more

I reached out to this company for an out of state move. They had positive reviews and responded quick. When quoting me things kept changing and finally they said they quoted the lower at price possible but when I shared an estimate of another competitor they were quickly willing to match the price being $400 cheaper. The person I spoke with while setting everything up kept mentioning the quality of service and how happy I would be with it. Pick up went great! The movers were nice, communicative and timely. Upon delivery, things changed. I bought a brand new house and completed my walk through the day before delivery of my furniture. The movers put several marks all over the walls, completely chipped paint all the way off, damaged multiple pieces of furniture and left 2 items in the storage. When I brought these issues to the movers attention they quickly and very easily began to be dishonest saying the markings and chips on the wall were already there which is impossible in brand new construction that was completely empty until they started moving my furniture in. When speaking with customer service I'm getting the same tone of dishonesty and trying to blame the customer. I will not be recommending this company to anyone as they're dishonest and don't do a good job start to finish as advertised. They have not completed their end of the agreement but were quick to try collecting payment for a job that didn't get done. Be careful. Pay the extra money to go with another company. I'm noticing they only accept positive reviews on their page and give error messages when submitting anything under 5 stars which clearly shows they're dishonest read more

Fast, Efficient and friendly! literally no complaints!!! I would recommend these movers to anyone. Will be using them in the future.

Overall I had a good experience moving large furniture for a one bedroom apartment across town. The good: - Excellent support over the phone on the days leading to the moving day. - Very competitive pricing. - None of my stuff broke during the move. - No damage done to the doors, walls, during the move. The not so good: - The moving team was scheduled to arrive between 8 and 9 am and they ended up arriving at 9:15 am. I was ready and waiting at 8 and got a call that they were 40 minutes away at 8:20 am. - There were periods in which all 3 movers we're doing the same trivial task such as wrapping small pieces of furniture and I felt they could be using the time more productively, so I decided to help in order to speed up the move. read more

Just moved from L.A. to Napa Valley and my two movers were just lovely! Zapts set a realistic schedule, pickup on Thursday and delivered on Friday, while other companies imagined they could pickup and deliver on the same day! Who wants to have their belongings to be delivered that late? I really appreciate their van tracking app letting you know where they were with your belongings. I felt their charges were very competitive/reasonable. I'm so happy I found them! read more

Zapt went above and beyond with our move from the Bay Area up to Roseville. Even when it turned out that by the end we had a lot more stuff, they accommodated and made it work last minute. Super hard working and the movers were top notch. Thank you guys soooo much in making this long distance move painless. read more

Our move started out great but didnt end so great. After watching our 2 guys carefully pack all of our items on a single 16 foot truck (and it filled entire truck), they then later took all of our stuff and literally THREW it onto a larger truck with another customers items. When the larger truck arrived, i noticed boxes damaged and crumbled and then saw that they had clearly moved all of our stuff onto another truck. brand new wardrobe boxes were ruined - other boxes were falling apart clearly after being not handled carefully. At no point was I told this is what would occur. I realize combining of stuff is more efficient - but had Zapt told me they were going to completely unpack and repack all of our things onto a different truck (not carefully obviously without us watching) i would not have used them. As far as the showing up on time- great. Communication with the office was a bit challenging at times - but otherwise I would have recommended this company. I would warn anyone who wants to use Zapt - inquire if your items will be moved from one truck to another. Our turn around from pickup to delivery was only 24 hours, so it did not occur to me to ask when our smaller truck was completely full. I didnt even number my boxes, because we watched our items fill an entire truck. I honestly dont even know if we got every single box of ours (because I did not number them). Use Zapt cautiously - ask questions ahead of time. read more

My friend recommended Zapt Movers to me. It was super good moving experience. Zapt people are very professional! They quickly contacted me to check items, and then contacted me a few days before the moving date. I had to postpone the moving twice because the new home was not ready. They were very friendly to help me re-schedule the time. The moving people came on time early in the morning. They wrapped the furnitures very well and kindly moved more things than I scheduled so I was happy to pay more tips in the end. I will highly recommend Zapt Movers' high-quality service to my friends! read more

My overall experience was very negative. First the good - Alessandra from Zapt kept it together and went above and beyond to help. The company is lucky to have her! In terms of where our experience fell short of expectations: 1. The moving team was unprofessional and rude - constantly complaining "you have too much stuff" (well that's why we hired Zapt in the first place...), "we are not playing games here" (show me one person that thinks moving is a game), "there is no more space in the truck" (I saw the truck when it arrived at my new place and it wasn't the case!) 2. Lack of communication during the move - when the truck broke down, I was not informed by the Zapt team but by my building HOA threatening to put a fine of $500 given they wanted to close the dock but could not because the truck wouldn't start. I called the driver multiple times but couldn't reach him for ~90 mins after my initial call when he told me they were "getting there shortly". Zapt customer service was not responsive either and my calls went unanswered (left voicemail). This period was very stressful for obvious reasons, but finally I was able to get in touch with Alessandra who then was able to track the driver 3. Incompetence - the boxes were mislabeled (e.g., found kitchen stuff in boxes labeled as bathroom), the team didn't pack entire stuff (I found stuff in kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets which we had to pick up the next day in the truck Alessandra arranged), the team refused to take 2-3 boxes worth of stuff saying there was no space in the truck. Also, the team took a very long time to pack - my estimate was 50 boxes, we eventually ended up with 30 boxes but it took them ~2 hours more compared to the initial estimate read more

Zapt did a very good job since we started talking about my move, moving from Santa Clara, CA to San Diego, CA) the crew was well trained, they did their best from the moment they started packing all the way when they finished the unloading. Best movers we have ever hired. Very professional and friendly. Alessandra was very responsive and helped us with everything we demanded.

Excellent moving experience. The customer service team was very responsive and clear. Communication pre-move was above and beyond. When the movers were on their way, they sent us a link to track the truck. The movers themselves were very professional, swift, but careful. Given that the service is hourly, this was something I appreciated. They were also very courteous. Will use them again for any move I have in the future. read more

Very professional and organized! read more

We got very unprofessional and rude movers. Avoid them at any cost! If you get the same guys, you will regret it. We were quoted hourly for 2 movers and a truck. We were told that they will provide us "estimates" based on the items. Reasons for bad reviews: 1. They didn't pick up all the floor lamps, monitor and some other stuff as it was not part of the estimates according to one of the mover. We were paying them hourly and it was just an estimate. While reserving, we were told that this is just an estimate and they will move everything based on hourly rate. They didn't ask about all the small stuff while taking the estimate. I told them I will pay you more but just move everything. He still said no. 2. Near the end, one of the guy shouted at us in his language when we asked him to pick all the stuff. They left and started the truck without even telling us. After a while, we realized that they are waiting outside for us and won't move everything. 3. They broke edges of some of the furniture like coffee table and I understand that it might happen. Bad review was not because of that. But, I still wanted to mention in case you have expensive furniture. I have to go back by car 50 miles and pick up everything they left. And, I might have to do it multiple times to get all the items or maybe just discard it. We had horrible experience with these people. Avoid them if you want to have a good moving experience. read more

We had a great experience with ZAPT MOVERS for my mother's last-minute, complicated move essentially down-sizing from a 4000 sq ft home to a 1500 sq ft condominium. Other than one initial snafu (they showed up at the wrong location which was quickly rectified - they were moving furniture from location A in Lafayette, to across the street at location B, and then going to a 3rd location to bring furniture to location A), they were FAST and generally CAREFUL while offering a FAIR PRICE. Gary (aka Jonathan), Estuart and Walter were especially pleasant and maintained their smiles even though they ended up working 12 hours straight (much longer than they had planned on). They only stopped for a couple minutes to drink the sodas we offered and did not even take a lunch break. The guys were more than accommodating in moving furniture around in a couple of rooms because my mother had not determined in advance how she wanted her furniture laid out. We had too much furniture (that would not fit in my mother's new home), so the guys agreeably drove it back to the storage unit. Then, they had to drive all the way back to the south bay to store their truck at 8:30pm at night. We so appreciate how diligently and pleasantly they worked. Their English was limited for two of the three workers but the third (team leader) spoke great English so there was no problem. I used a different moving company a few years before who were unmotivated, slow and careless (they put things on top of my plants when packing boxes and damaged my belongings that fell off of the dollys). Zapt Movers were the complete opposite and worked hard the entire day. Thank you ZAPT!!! read more

I used the moving company for the first time and was a little skeptical with all the reviews I have heard about the double charge and travel time from the old address to the new one. I made a few calls to make some comparison and by far Zapt Movers gave me a clear understanding of what would be a fair cost for my move and recommended getting a truck with three movers. Pedro was very patient in explaining all the pros and cons and I scheduled my move date. Pedro called 2 days before my move to confirm. The movers - Marcio, Marlon, and Paulo came on time and very efficient in getting my stuff moving and organizing well in the truck. None of my items were broken or damaged. Paulo was very energetic and made us things flowing smoothly. PAULO you rock!!!! To my new address, they placed the boxes and all the heavy furniture as I wanted. I sincerely believe they have earned the 5 stars and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will definitely ask for their services in my next move. read more

The crew was not professional and did poor job at pretty much everything. I asked for full service including packing and unpacking. 1. When packing, they didn't bother to write where the items come from or what items are in the box. So, at the destination, the crew started asking where to put the box. How the hell do we know with no labels? Even though we asked for unpacking, they left without unpacking. 2. Poor packing and damages. - Picture frames with glasses are not wrapped properly before packing. - One picture frame is missing the glass. Looks like they broke it and get rid of it to hide. - Bed is scratched. Pinao chair is scratched. - They didn't use enough protection for items like knives. One sheet of paper wrapping 5 knives. 3. Needs constant reminder on what to pack or not. Right after the arrival, I showed them all things that need to be packed and explained what not to touch. Well, there was only one item not to touch. I have to ask them few times to get all things packed, and they mistakenly packed items that are not supposed to be packed. 4. The crew assembled the bed incorrectly, and I have to tell them how to fix it. The guy uses power tools incorrectly, and destroyed screws. 5. Finally, out of 6 crews who came, many were taking a break outside in the afternoon. They could have helped to unpack and to remove boxes. I strongly recommend looking for another company if you want packing/unpacking. read more
