Everything about this restaurant is worth the visit. It's perfect for a date night or a family dinner. The food is always spot on - I particularly love their salmon. The blue crab dip is a MUST HAVE! 8/10 First time going here, but went with a friend who goes quite often. The place was busy and not a big wait area. It's a little too hot to wait outside, so luckily we were able to get a seat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. With the place being busy, I wasn't quite sure who was taking our order so we had to flag someone down to put food in. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked so good. We started with the blue crab dip. So good. The bread was kind of bland, maybe better had it been toasted. But still good to sop up the dip. The crackers were a good combo. Both of us ordered the halibut. It's my favorite fish and I've never had it with sour Cherry sauce. Interesting combo, but really good. If you don't like cherries tho, don't get it. My wife and I went here, and the food was amazing. We ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, blue crab dip, tomato basil soup, and the Z-salad. The atmosphere was cozy, plus they make their pizzas and other dishes in stones ovens. The restaurant sits in the old part of downtown Rockwall amongst other mom and pop shops, so you get that hometown vibe. Although they were busy the service was great. We'll definitely be back. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new. read more

My husband and I stopped in here for a day date lunch while visiting my folks from out of town. The reviews didn't disappoint! It was bumping on the Monday before Christmas but we didn't wait more than 15-20 mins. We shared the blackened salmon salad and the chicken salad sandwich. The "pomtoms" (house-made sun-dried tomatoes) were fantastic! We also were impressed with the fresh bread. Everything was delicious! Next time we visit the area, we'd definitely stop in again. Had a bit of a wait on Saturday evening around 6pm. Expected the wait but were told 15 minutes and it was over 40, FYI. Return visit, have always enjoy their oven fired food. Started with bruschetta, very good! I had a scallop special, small bay scallops in a cream sauce over mashed potatoes and my guest had the meatball lasagna. We also ordered the grilled veggies to share but were brought an entree instead, chopped veggie dish with chopped chicken. The waitress didn't stop back timely, l kept trying to get her attention to correct it. I finally got her attention and asked if the grilled veggies had changed from being whole and why was there chicken in it. Waitress said she was new and wasn't sure but would check with the kitchen. Came back and said recipe was the same and we ordered the chicken entree. Laughable to argue with a customer when you have made a mistake. Service has been excellent in the last. Hopefully this was isolated bad service. Restaurant was loud and busy but it was Saturday night and this is a hopping place with good food. read more

The food is always on point and the last two visits the service matched the food. Our first visit almost caused me to not return due to the host and the inconsistency in getting us seated and the patrons to entered after us. My husband is the reason for our return MAINLY for the dish and just so happen we got great service on our return visit which caused us to return a third time. Three times a charm ;-) The children always get the cheese pizza. Additionally we've tried the crab dip app, tomato mozzarella and Basil app and the main courses that are amazing are the shrimp & grits and the risotto. A friend took us here for dinner and it was wonderful. I started with a lemon drop martini, was just perfect. Then we went with the blue crab appetizer, definitely a group pleaser. I had the steak with the spinach as a side and red peppers. The steak was cooked a perfect medium, and the spinach was delicious. My husband had the pork chop. He said it was excellent, and our friend had the halibut which he always gets. We had banana Foster for dessert. I definitely will give this place a five star rating and be coming back. Service was great and food was okay. We visited on a Tuesday evening where they offer a shared salad, glass of wine, and pizza for around $29. While we appreciated the incredible offer, I'd probably order a la carte next time. Located in a gorgeous Historic Downtown Rockwall, the Christmas decor and festivities were adorable. There is plenty of parking along the square and when we walked up to the restaurant, there was a gorgeous outdoor Christmas tree and "snow" for the kiddos to enjoy. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to visit for coffee during the day. Side note we ordered the blue crab dip. Very creamy and comes out piping hot!! Wasn't a crazy fan of the bread that accompanied it, I'd ask for hot bread on the side next time. $14.00 Our Tuesday special breakdown. The wine: you get a choice of red or white and whatever the offer of the evening is is what you'll get. We chose red and were brought a cab sav. The wine wasn't my favorite and we obviously overpaid but hey, it's the experience that counts. I appreciate that you can take it home if you don't finish. Pizza: we ordered the Hubbard's pizza. Topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, chorizo, tomato sauce, and garlic. Next time, I'll mix the mushrooms. They were a bit overpowering for me. The Three Little Pigs looked worth a try as well! Caesar salad came with chopped egg which was decent. Overall I'd give them another shot! We're not in Rockwall very often but that downtown square looks promising. read more

Stopped by for an early lunch, and I'm glad it was early, because they got busy really quick. It seems to be in their downtown area with lots of shops around. Out in Rockwall for the weekend on the lake. Stopped by here around 530pm for dinner on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy, but by 630, there was a wait out the door. Cozy vibe that is helped by two great looking wood fired ovens for the pizzas and dinner. Our server was great, no problems there. He gave us great recommendations and was conscious of our water and drinks despite having several table. We split a pizza and the salmon. The salmon was great, nicely seasoned with a good crust on it. It came with some greens in a light vinaigrette. I'd order that again. The pizza was okay. We had the spike happy hour and about the only bad thing was the onions weren't caramelized so I think it took away from the entire flavor. Overall still a good choice for local dinner in the area. read more

I came here with a large party for a birthday. They have descent tasting house red wine for about $6/$7. The white one was good and easy to drink. I ordered the Sunday roasted chicken which comes with an order of risotto. That risotto was the best risotto I'v had in a while. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. The only complaint is that the risotto that wasn't directly under the chicken was cold. Fortunately the risotto that was directly underneath the chicken was hot, because the chicken was nice and hot. A friend ordered the mussels and I tried one; I would say skip it. The wait for our food was as expected since we had a large party. I can't really complain since it was a very busy Friday night. Keep in mine for large parties: they only take reservations over the phone and they only seat parties of 18 people or less. read more

I must say Rockwall does have some of the best home town dining options but this place is number 1. Great atmosphere and good service. It's very busy so it can be a tad slow sometimes but it adds to the true Italian feel! I haven't tried anything here that I didn't love but the lasagna is to die for! It's a great spot for lunch or dinner. During dinner time there will be a wait as they don't take reservations but it's well worth the wait. We always just go across to fable and fire and grab a drink while we wait! I can't recommend this place enough! read more
