The meatball casserole was already solid, but the real hack shows up when you remember Luigi's loves to send you home with enough rolls to feed a small militia. I sliced open one of those monster rolls, dropped in three halves of meatball, and loaded it with the leftover sauce and cheese. Already great. Then I pushed it into full greatness with a little extra garlic, oregano, parmesan, and a hit of the Italian five-cheese blend. Zero regrets. The result was a heavy, messy, perfect meatball sandwich that tastes like you planned it all along. If you have leftovers from Luigi's, do yourself a favor and build this. Enjoy. read more

I came back to Rockwall for my Birthday with friends and they took me here to dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and if you've ever had it, you know it's hit or miss at any place and theirs was absolutely amazing. All entrees came out pipping hot and melted in your mouth. The portions were big and we all had leftovers to take home. They brought me a slice of the most yummest cake and sang to me and we ordered a tiramisu to go. I had that for breakfast the next day great place and the inside was spacious. read more

We normally have pizza delivered but we dined in with family tonight and it was even more delicious! We had a pizza, Stromboli, manicotti, chicken Parmesan and it was all fantastic!!!! I've had this pizza several times bc it gets catered to my job pretty often. I only speak about the pizza- tried the pepperoni, supreme, Alfredo, veggie. No matter how many times I try it, it's so BLAND. No seasoning whatsoever, just bread and cheese is all you can taste, they all taste the same even though they all have different toppings. Luigis has been delicious from the get go. Today i had the lobster ravioli, salad, fresh rolls. We also ordered a fabulous byo pizza some pizza places when delivering will skimp on xtra cheese or extra sauce. Not Luigis, the pizza was a masterpiece! I should have taken pics but it was devoured before review. I do wish on deliveries that there was a small size garlic olive oil dipping sauce. Other than that, best lunch we have had in a while. I have been going to Luigi's for years and I don't know what happened yesterday,, I got the manicotti and my husband got lasagna and it was nothing but cheese and sauce. Alright folks, before I criticize, all of the staff was great. Great human beings here. The food, I'm sorry is garbage. I'm from Southern California and moved to Rockwall last year and I have yet to find any good Italian. The diversity of food in California was spectacular and top notch. Cortina's in Anaheim, CA, Marri's in Long Beach, CA just to name a few. To start off with the pizza, it tasted like cardboard. What I mean by that is that the dough was really tough, dry and bland. The sauce was also extremely bland which makes.......a very very extremely bland pizza with horrible texture. Using regular yellow onion instead of thin sliced red onion? Stuff like this just doesn't cut it. We also had the calzone which again was horribly bland and had ricotta cheese inside. I had to smother these 2 items with Parmesan cheese and a crapload of red peppers to give it any kind of flavor. Maybe people in Texas prefer bland food, but this was not good at all. The garlic bread was even bland lol. Everything outside of the food was great. Really nice establishment with great staff. It's just the food. I would not recommend this to anyone read more

We enjoyed a nice dinner here. The restaurant has lots of seating for large and small groups. We started with dinner salads which were just basic with lettuce and tomatoes in a nice vinaigrette. Extremely pleased not only with the quality of the food but also the service. You never had to ask for refills as the servers were constantly there. Luigi's stays in my top 5 favorite restaurants. I've been coming here since I was in elementary school and now I'm 30 years old. To describe the atmosphere: dim lighting, comfortable, and there's a private room in the back of the restaurant for reservations. It's fitting for family dinners, bridal or wedding parties, birthdays, and even dates. Plus, the service is and has always been great, friendly, and speedy. I've never seen a slow day for them, which is a GREAT thing! This not only is a comfort food spot for me since my family and I have been coming here for so long, no, the food is just that good! I haven't had anything bad here ever! The lobster ravioli is my absolute favorite dish! Straight forward italian dishes & pizza joint. It does not dissapoint & you will always need a to- go box. We stopped by for lunch, Valdo was super nice & quick to get us started with bread & drinks. Luigi's sports a romantic villa-style dining room, an impressively trained staff, and a cheerful proprietor who is brimming with personality. The food is quite good, and if I lived closer I'd pop down quite often. Luigi's is apt to get full in the evening, so it's best to catch it in the lag hours. read more

Mine had very tender chicken and pasta. Cappers were perfect amount for recipe. Hubby got pepperoni and hamburger. A side of tums for later It's a quite place to take family, or for date night.
