A friend and I went in for a quick bite before a concert at Iron City Grill because ICG was packed. The spring rolls were pretty good, but the Pork Belly bowl was just okay. We might give it another chance before a concert sometime, but I would only go back if I was already in the area. I was on my way to get tacos but was stopped by the today's special sign. I ordered the coconut curry chicken with medium spice to go and the spring rolls. I tried the spring rolls first and wow they were the best spring rolls I've had since living in California. Then came the coconut curry and now I want to go back and thank them for this meal. The medium spice is spicy but not so spicy that you can't enjoy your food... it's the perfect kick to compliment the flavor of herbs and coconut. If you like Thai food then you have to try this place! I plan to come back and try everything I can on the menu. The only thing I can try to complain about is the rice sticking together. This place is the best! I'm so glad they Decided to reopen in another location close by after the fire instead of just closing. The staff and owners are friendly and helpful. The food is simply amazing. And the prices are perfectly reasonable. My suggestion is that you try the kimchi fried rice. It is absolutely phenomenal. Went here on lunch, since it's brand new and in walking distance of UAB. So glad I did. It wasn't all that busy for being 11:30 on a Friday. The menu is full of different options from Chicken Wings to Pad Thai. Wanting to step out of my comfort zone, I ordered the Pad Thai. In my opinion, not many places around Birmingham can seem to get this right. After placing my order, I went to be seated where the manager/owner brought out my Spring Rolls. He was so so very friendly. He asked how I heard about the place and how my day was going. Only 5 minutes after placing my order, both mine and my co-workers meal was on the table. The food was so fresh and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The manager/owner came back over to make sure everything was to our liking, which it definitely was. BEST PAD THAI IN BIRMINGHAM. It was our first time trying this place. It's located where the old Farm Burger use to be. Nice set up and of course being in downtown parking was hard. We called in the order ahead of time and I requested for it to be extra hot and so did my coworker. Walked in and the staff was really friendly and willing to help in anyway. Paid for the food and went back to the office to eat it. We were not impressed with the taste. I ordered the veggie pad Thai and he ordered the Himalayan Spicy Chicken. We took a bite and it didn't have any taste. It was bland and not spicy at all. I know they just opened so they may need to work on the improving there items. The pork dumplings are fantastic and are jumbo. The chicken curry is wonderful. I keep going back, and this time I got the Himalayan chicken and the chicken dumplings. Both were very good.
