Great food and flavors. It's h ard to find Himalayan food in Birmingham. It was easy to find parking on Sunday. Got the basil chicken and Momos. Service was great. Very nice staff. Although I did not introduce myself to the staff, it seems to be family owned and they care about delivering a good product. Unpretentious ambience. Will definitely go back. read more

Today was my first time at Yummefy! I love the atmosphere! It was small but enough room for a decent size lunch group. The wait time was excellent. I ordered the shrimp and chicken Yummefy stir fry. Overall it was pretty good. The shrimp were too small and over cooked, but other than that it was a good meal. I will be back to try some more menu items. read more

I went after work on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. This is a family owned restaurant and the people were very kind and friendly. I ordered the Gorkhali Chicken Medium Spicy. It was delicious. The portion size was large and is served with white rice. The food came out quick. I am looking forward to trying other things on the menu. read more

Fantastic food! Don't be fooled by the outside which looks like a chain. Nepali food in the Ham! Momo was great! Chicken Thupka - Awsome! Spicey Himalayan chicken - Incredible. Entire family loved our dinner. Have had Nepali food in other cities, but glad it is my hometown. We will be back soon! BTW, great draft and Asian beer selection! read more

This place is soooo AMAZING! It's kind of small portioned but it's delicious. It's Asian fusion and I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! It's reasonably priced and I've been twice now. First, I got the chicken and shrimp chow Mein and the second time I ordered the shrimp fried rice with yum yum sauce and it's absolutely wonderful. We also had yummy ass egg rolls and it's at a super cute location. New fucking fav, check it out!! read more

I was excited to try this place. My favorite food is Thai. My picture descriptions say it all. The one word I would use to describe this place is FLAVORLESS. Thai Tea was embarrassing watered down milk. No tea flavor. The Coconut Soup was extremely thin watered down milk as well. NO flavor!!!! All you taste in the Gorkhali Chicken is spice....just hot spice but the flavor is muddled. Horrible, flavorless embarrassment of a Thai/Asian type restaurant. I'm shocked at the good reviews. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I have been here several times, and it has become one of my favorite places. The owner and wait staff are very friendly, and the food is outstanding. I've enjoyed everything I have tried. You can't go wrong with any of the signature dishes (e.g., Himalayan chicken, Ghorkali chicken, etc.). I also highly recommend the mango curry chicken. read more

Don't change a thing! Delivered hot and fresh, delicious, nicely packaged, zero complaints!

Be sure and check your order when you get takeout. Order takeout tonight and only got half of my order that I paid for. Check your orders. The food is good not so sure about the quality control. read more

I am always impressed with this spot. Whenever I am on the South side I try to make a run in. The food is great. The staff is friendly and the spice is out of this world. Of you are in town you have to stop by. It's Asian fusion at it's finest. Military discounts are a plus. read more

If someone in your party wants Asian and the other says Indian , here is your spot! I want everything on the menu and it's hard to decide what to order. My party tried momo, fried rice, drunken noodles with chicken and Szechuan noodles. The food is cooked to order and arrives hot and fresh at the table. My experience with spicy here is that medium is actually pretty much like other places version of Hot. Lots of flavor and so delicious. There is a bar so you can do drinks if you like. We love this spot and can't wait to go back. Great variety and super nice people working there, go give them a try. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! My husband and I tried this for the first time using DoorDash. The food was steaming hot when it arrived which shocked us. Not only is it hot, it's SO GOOD and flavorful and every dish looks just like the pictures! We went and ordered pick up the next day, and the day after, and the day after that! Literally been 6x since last week! We`got to meet the owner and he's super nice and personable. He always let's us know our food will be 'steaming' Five Stars! K'la read more

Great little Asian place! Highly recommend the spicey Drunken Noodles and Mo Mo dumplings. Service was fast and attentive. Fantastic variety of dishes to choose from and generous portions. Best of all the prices were very reasonable. 100% will visit again next time I am in Birmingham. read more

Ordered the spicy Himalayan chicken. Food was alright, maybe it was the fact that I got it towards the end of the day. Customer service was top notch and everyone was nice. read more

Just visited for the first time tonight and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was phenomenal and after a day of traveling was exactly what I needed. They even gave me a free dessert since it was my first time in, and I had an overall excellent experience. read more

I just moved to Birmingham and got the least warm of welcomes at this place. I came on a Sunday around 8:15pm with my mother. The posted closing time on the restaurant door and online was 9pm. When we arrived, they had already closed off seating. We were told we would have to order take out, which we did. 10 minutes later, a group of four men come in and are immediately seated. We were told the kitchen closed at 8:30, why were they seated so close to "closing time" and we were not??? It was not only incredibly misogynistic, it was simply rude. When we got our food we kindly voiced our issue to the bartender who was also very rude and dismissive. 1) If you're going to say you close at 9pm, stay open until 9 or update your closing time. 2) seat everyone, or seat no one. read more

Terrible, Terrible,Terrible. Rice a roni is better than their fried rice. No flavor bland and Chicken taste like it's about 3 days old with half raw shrimp. read more

We have eaten here three times in the past, and each time it was really good. It had been 6 months since we last ordered food and were excited when we were downtown to have it again. Sadly, it was a complete bust. The calamari had zero seasoning and the sauce was in the tiniest container and tasted like it came straight from the grocery store. Only time i didn't finish an order of calamari. My wife's kimchi fried rice was decent but came with a grand total of 5 pieces of kimchi. How a bowl of basic fried rice and 5 pieces of kimchi cost $10 is beyond me. There were no other veggies or meat. My wife said Trader Joe's microwave meals are better. Lastly my tofu curry was meh. The tofu was actually pretty good. But the flavor left a lot to be desired and the rice tasted over cooked. Maybe i just caught them on an off day. All in all, it was the worst $40 I've spent on restaurant food in years. read more

Ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala from DoorDash while at work. Within a few minutes of opening the bag I had multiple coworkers swarming my desk inquiring on what smelt so good. This was some of the best Masala I have ever had and they gave me so much food I made two meals off it. It was savory and delicious. I can't wait to try some other dishes from this restaurant! read more

Returned to Yummefy for lunch recently and was not disappointed! Got the tikka masala chicken and chicken fried rice, it was delicious! Really fortunate to have this spot nearby. They also started serving bubble tea, I ordered the Brown Sugar bubble tea and it was amazing!! Perfect amount of sweetness. This is a great spot for any meal, but I especially love the lunch specials. Such a great deal, and leftovers the next day or two are always yummy. I highly recommend supporting this business, the employees are always so nice and the food is fantastic! read more

I got chicken fried rice (it's completely soaked in oil) and the spicy Himalayan chicken(also greasy.. w no rice) and the veggie egg roll (good but laughably small) overall... nope. I feel gross and wish I just made myself dinner. I really wanted to like this place. read more

Fantastic fresh Indian food! Very flavorful and well prepared. I really enjoyed the masa man curry as well as the spring rolls. Friendly staff too! read more

Just nasty...WAY too heavy on the curry in the pot-stickers, the "pork chowmein" was greasy nasty Asian spaghetti with bits of charred pork fat in a ketchup based sauce, and they completely didn't include the wings we ordered and paid for in the takeout bag. Probably one of the worst things we've ever ordered out. read more

Food was alright, service was terrible I asked for lemonade the lady in charge said she would be right back and never came back I finished my meal and still didn't get it. Also the food is so expensive for some poor quality I paid 23 for fried rice, the size of cereal bowl. Would never go back again. read more

Yummefy would be great for someone who enjoys Thai and Nepalese food. However, I discovered I am not one. I had the dragon tofu and the tofu was quite soft and heavily seasoned. This location does not currently have any inside seating due to Covid-19, so I ordered from their website. They were reasonably fast and all of the employees wore masks. There wasn't much room for people to wait on their orders so I imagine it gets crowded pretty quickly. Overall, the restaurant seems to be following covid precautions, just not my cup of tea. read more

I've admittedly only been here once, but I doubt I'll ever go back. For one, I don't know what kind of food this is supposed to be. Looking at the names of the dishes, you see a mix of Indian, Chinese, Korean, and Nepali-sounding dishes, but i don't get any of those cuisines' characteristic flavors (went with a group of 10 or so and we passed around). I was born in Korea, and I've eaten and cooked many different types of Asian cuisine, and i just felt like this was Americanized 'pan-Asian' food, which I don't like the idea of-- it's very mall food court. Asia is very diverse in terms of its cuisine, and I think it's hard to successfully fuse them (especially since this doesn't seem to be a fusion concept, it's more just a lack of focus). What is "Himalayan chicken"? And why is it served with kimchi? The Himalayas are closer to the Mediterranean than to Korea. You'd never serve grape leaves with paneer-- just very strange. The dish itself was just ok. It was spicy, but really just hot without being especially flavorful. The place is reasonably priced given the large portions, but I think it needs to focus on a cuisine. read more

My first time ordering from Yummefy. Ordered Pad Thai and Mo Mo Vegetable. This cuisine is one of my favorites: Asian. Unfortunately, the pictures were better than the final product. The Pad Thai was generally disappointing. No real flavors. No detectable peanuts, no tang of the lemon or lime, and the noodles were overcooked and uninspiring. The Mo Mo was also disappointing since I believe the order was given to us by mistake: tasted like it was the Chicken Mo Mo rather than the Vegetable we ordered. However, the people were very nice on both the phone and in person. The takeout order was ready promptly and was nice & hot. The menu has a wide selection of Asian dishes. Perhaps the ones I choose were not their best. read more

Wow, really good food. Very fresh and so delicious. I had the coconut curry chicken which was so creamy and had a great flavor. My wife had the special stir fry with shrimp and chicken and it was very good as well. All the veggies fresh and amazing flavor. The owner was working hard and service was fast and frIendly. New regular place for me. Priced right with great portions. read more

Usually I love to eat here but today the food was just really dry and I guess there's a new owner and he won't give me any sauces for the dry food talking about it's a new policy how is it a new policy when I paid over $20 and can't extra one Yum Yum sauce read more

Ordered delivery, responded quickly and food was fresh and well packaged. I had the Szechuan Noodles with Tofu, and my wife had a curry. Both were very good, although my noodles were all lumped together. I will also mention that this is hands down the best value Asian vegetarian dining in Birmingham. read more

I really want to love it here, but I don't. I've been to Unify three times, and while the service is always excellent, the food has just not been that great. I was really looking forward to the Nepali dishes, which are not bad, but bland. On my last visit, I had Pad Thai. The portion size was generous, but, again, it was a little bland. read more

We found this little gem on the way home from a long vacation drive. We were hungry, it was late, and this place was perfection. This place had the perfect mix of normal asian food with odd things we've never tried before so we ordered a ton of food. The food did not disappoint and treated our tastebud to new flavor profile not experienced before and that is rare as we always seek to try new and odd places. Must try the MOMo if you haven't! If we ever travel this way, this will be the craving we will visit. read more

Good authentic cuisine. The Tikka Chicken Marsala, shrimp tempura is good. The sauce itself with the rice is delicious

I asked for Hot Vindaloo, but it wasn't really that spicy. Otherwise an overall pleasant experience. Would recommend and go back to again.
