Wow, we stopped here passing through and ate some of the greatest stir fry of our lives. So good. Eat here immediately

The food was very good. I was embarrassed for them as far as organization and service. I eat out A LOT. Today at lunch was the first time I've ever had entrees come out one at a time, (good thing I was sharing with a friend & we didn't mind eating off of the same plate with one set of silverware.) And for desert...we had our appetizer! Good food...for the extremely patient. read more

The pork dumplings are fantastic and are jumbo. The chicken curry is wonderful. I keep going back, and this time I got the Himalayan chicken and the chicken dumplings. Both were very good. This is the perfect place for to go orders as they get you on your way pretty quickly. The staff is all friendly so I'm sure staying is a good experience as well. Definitely a great addition to the Birmingham food scene. read more

We stopped in on a whim and very glad that we did. The food was fantastic and the owner is very nice. We will be back! read more

Yummefy Flavors of India, Nepal & Thailand - Chicken Chow Mein Very good food! Amazing spring rolls, light and crisp. - Asian Fusion Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

I've forgotten the names of the dishes (two separate takeout meals), but they were all great. We will keep returning and look forward to dining in one day. read more

Food was so so so good and the staff was sweet!! Definitely will be returning!! I got the coconut chicken curry and my friend got the massaman chicken and both were amazing. read more

I'll tell you what, that was a spectacular meal! Was I expecting much? No, not really. That is why my tastebuds were sent on a one way ticket to Flavortown. "Always expect the unexpected," - Bobby Flay. I truly was not prepared for what entered my mouth that day. I was very pleased to find out that pets were allowed, because I have a Bavarian Mountain Scent Hound named Zerstörer. He was very chipper when informed his presence was acceptable. Great employees. My knowledge of this genre of food is not par with my vast amount of knowledge for other dishes. Instead of being treated as a moron, the employees assisted me with the selection of my meal. With my new vegan diet, I chose the Dragon Tofu and was very delighted. Yummefy, you earned four stars. My condolences that you did not receive a fifth, but I am one of the best reviewers this side of the Mississippi. Five stars do not come easily from me. Good day, Wheaton Thornbury read more

I was very sad when Yum Yai shut down after the fire this past March. When I heard an Asian fusion restaurant was opening on the same block this summer I was cautiously optimistic. Yummefy opened about a month ago and I have already been 4 times. Their menu is versatile and delicious. It tastes like a home-cooked meal. Not overly greasy, but tasty and made with love. Service can be a little slow but the staff is all so kind and considerate that it makes up for it. They have countless vegetarian options and they will happily switch a meat dish to tofu or paneer. The spice levels are always as advertised on the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Asian food, whether Thai, Chinese, Nepali, or Indian. also the location next to UAB Hospital is extremely convenient. I have been treating myself to a meal after a late shift. I have tried the dragon chicken/tofu, paneer fried rice, and vegetable fried rice. All were amazing! read more

See all

Food was delicious, I did the lunch pad thai special and it was a very large portion with a lot of chicken and shrimp and amazingly flavorful. My husband had the beef curry which was also very tastey. Only reason for 4 stars was the 45 minute wait to get our food (but we did end up coming after a very large group). read more

This is a great place and new location is wonderful The massaman curry chicken and pad thai are my faves very friendly staff too read more

My husband and I are in town for our 20th anniversary celebration. We found this place was within walking distance to our hotel. We should have walked on down the street. We shared the dumplings, and they had a vinegar taste to them. Not good. His pork belly bowl was tough and bitter tasting. My vegetable fried rice also had a weird vinegar/bitter taste. The yum yum sauce was horrible. We both left hungry. Waste of money for terrible food. read more

This place was so good! They do have indoor seating but my friend and I took it to go. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly! I got the dragon tofu and my friend got the drunken noodles. So flavorful! We devoured all the food! read more

I don't know what I just ate but it wasn't Pad Thai and it wasn't Chow Mein. Apart from flat and round noodles, the dishes were almost exactly the same. Chow Mein should be 50% vegetables and spaghetti like noodles? Way off read more

I got the Spicy Basil Chicken and spring rolls. The chicken was okay but I was bland. The spring rolls on the other hand were great. I wouldn't recommend but there are many more dishes if you would like to try. read more

I was super excited about trying this restaurant for the first time, the reviews were great! My dish, however, was dry, bland, barely had any veggies , and a mountain of noodles. I felt like I didn't get my money's worth and the dish did not fit the menus description. I am a bit hesitant about returning. Not a good first impression. read more

I came here to try Nepal food services was great food fresh just made I tried the chicken spicy Himalayan my wife got drunken noodle everything excelente we will come back again. read more

Could've definitely been better. There's no Nepali touch to the food. Looks like the owners have forgotten their taste buds back home. Not even a single flag in sight. Def not going back again. Sly ppl. read more

Food was so-so; we got the chicken tikka masala, drunken noodles and coconut soup. I'll stick to separate authentic places in the future.

A friend and I went in for a quick bite before a concert at Iron City Grill because ICG was packed. The spring rolls were pretty good, but the Pork Belly bowl was just okay. We might give it another chance before a concert sometime, but I would only go back if I was already in the area. There were only a couple other people in the restaurant and it still took quite a while for our order to come out. The people were very nice though. read more

If you have thought about giving this place a try but haven't, you definitely should. So good, fast, authentic. Large portions for the price. I usually get the drunken noodles (soooo good) but opted for the veggie delight today and it was very flavorful packed with so many different veggies. Can't say enough good about it. read more

My husband and I ordered the drunken noodles and massaman curry. Both were delicious!! We foot the momos for an appetizer. Absolutely loved all of it. And we are usually picky about our curry! So good. read more

My wife kept insisting that I come here so I did. I got the spicy chicken tiki masala to play it safe since it's my first time. This place is amazing. The flavors are bold and delicious just the way I like it. I will come back to try just about every dish they have .. you won't be disappointed.. sorry I didn't post a pic .. I ain't it all read more

The restaurant owners are so sweet and very hospitable! The edamame and spicy drunken noodles were delicious - really recommend. Curry is also very good! read more

Ordered through Door Dash and everything was fresh and hot. Very good! Pork Momos were my fave. I will definitely be back!

Much like the Himalayan origins of much of their menu, my expectations were extremely high. Very pleased with beer selection, however, the calamari was quite average--likely just out of the freezer and deep fried. Happy with the spicy Himalayan chicken dish that provided nice long lasting heat with a wealth of flavor on a cool fall evening. This happiness was countered with disappointment regarding our pork fried rice. The Asian staple had that beautiful wok-hei, smoky flavor but the "pork" was basically flavorless chunks of fat from pork belly--certainly little protein involved. A good, not great Asian place offering a variety of ethnic foods but certainly not worthy of sitting a top the rankings of Birmingham's Asian food scene. read more

Excellent, authentic Nepalese food. Fast, friendly service. Reminiscent of my time in Nepal five years ago. Check it out!

I have to say that this is the best Thai food I've had in Birmingham. Everything was fresh and so tasty. Spring rolls were fresh, light, crispy and full of vegetables. Coconut soup had a perfect broth with plenty of tofu, mushrooms, green onions, and a bit of greens. Served with a lime wedge that added just the right tartness. One of our diners said her chicken chow mein was delicious. Chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Another diner had mango chicken curry which was super delicious. Terrific curry flavor. Fourth diner had the Gorkhali Chicken with a medium spice. Grilled chicken was tender and the onions and peppers were cooked perfectly. Everyone loved their food. Service was friendly and helpful. Owners are Rose and Sam who work hard to welcome everyone and serve amazing Thai food. read more

We had the dumplings to start and they were INCREDIBLE. So fresh and flavorful. Rest of meal was great. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back! read more

Good food! I had the veggie spring rolls and the massaman curry. The spring rolls were delicious. The curry was good, it didn't taste like traditional massaman curry, it was more like a Thai curry mixed with Indian spice? It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was expecting. I will definitely eat here again and will try another main dish. read more

Yummmmmm!!!! We had the Spicy Himalayan chicken and Gorkhali chicken. BOTH were excellent!! Personal opinion I could take the edamame a little more chilly-garlic but I get having to please the masses. They were didn't have unsweet tea (times of COVID and all) so they called and offered to replace it with something else. They were very courteous and cheery, which we all need right now. read more

Honestly respect the hustle from this family. Go if you want to support a small business. Would not recommend if you want great Thai or other central Asian "inspired" food. Sauce was basically ketchup. It's a no for me. Maybe their other dishes are good. They have a lot of different cultures' foods... this is what made my husband and I go, but they might benefit from getting one type of food down really well! read more

Great food and even a better host!! The owner is a wonderful gentleman! The food is fresh and the service is fast.

The owner of this establishment and the folks that work there are the nicest and friendliest people!! He came out and asked about the food and if everybody was happy multiple times. The establishment was obviously well taken care of and clean as clean could be. The best part was that it was phenomenal food and I ate here multiple times during my stay in Birmingham. I highly recommend and will be coming again on my next stay!! read more

I called to do a take out order and customer service was great it's why I give them two stars! But the food wasn't good I believe they are pre made meals that's heated in a skillet. They will not allow u to customized your order. I asked for no onions in my tofu curry they promised no onions however it was onions through out the entire curry. I asked for pad Thai noodles to have tofu they said they couldn't do this , that it would take away the flavor of the noodles. That's bs. The person who opened this restaurant doesn't know real pad Thai noodles can come with tofu. I believe I was told this because the food is frozen and microwaved. Also no parking here. read more

Love love love!!! Awesome Nepali, Thai and Chinese! Kids were happy with chicken nuggets too! And the customer service is truly exceptional! We had two blind guests and their guide dogs and we have had difficulties at other Asian restaurants. But not at Yummefy! The owner and family were extremely kind, and understanding about the service dogs. That was very appreciated! read more

I had some some bomb coconut curry here! Definitely a place I would recommend for my Asian food lovers :)

Spent a month in Birmingham for business... this was HANDS DOWN my favorite takeout in the city! The Himalayan chicken is amazing! The owners are the sweetest people you'll ever meet... a must!! read more

My new favorite Asian spot! Chicken Chow Mein was delicious and very flavorful! Next time I will be trying the Chicken Schezwan Noodles. Super impressed with the place since they are pretty new, and very very kind staff. Would definitely recommend! read more

Great experience eating here - loved both the food and the service. Being a vegetarian in Birmingham is usually a hassle, but Yummefy made it so easy. The owner took time to walk my friend and me through the menu, even showing us pictures before we ordered. The noodles were delicious, and I could not stop eating, even after I was more than full. Thanks for a great meal! read more

Delicious Pad Thai! Try the pork bowl if you like pork belly. So good! Spring rolls are a good addition. Generous portions. Good flavors.
