Yum is right! A friend told me about this place because he ate here a few weeks ago. We decided to go check it out today and it was absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Luckily we had the whole place to ourselves which was nice. Very clean inside with every table set and ready for people to dine. We got a few different dumplings and some cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is so refreshing on a hot day. All the dumplings were delicious. They all came out hot and fresh, one order after the next. You can tell they're made to order. The xiao long bao were so good but the shrimp & pork dumplings in the chili oil were definitely my favorite! I'll be back many times to try their other dumplings and main dishes.

We want to try a new dumpling and this place pop up on our search. The restaurant feel open and they are spaced out. We arrived on a Monday when they just open, so it just us and another couple. There was only one server, but he was very attentive. Checking up on us and filled our water without being asked. In term of food, they are in larger portion so price are reasonable. Although, the dumpling skin is a little thick, it was very juicy and flavorful. I also love how they give us side snack to munch while we wait for our food. Everything was delicious with the exception of hot and sour soup. It was overwhelming sour and lack of soy sauce. Overall I would come back for the variety of dumpling.

Enjoyable visit. The flavors are a little different. I'll bet it's a specific region of food. The suimai was the most different of the bunch. Good. Just different. Always love a cucumber salad. Love a little kimchee. Fried ruse was good. The soup dumplings were HUGE and good. The green beans were really good. There was just one server and he was super good. Helpful, attentive and my water glass was always full. The vibe is clean and friendly. There are several not distracting TVs on. One playing a ?chinese? Show and the other spongebob square pants which was quite retro for me. There is good parking.

First time here and overall it was a good experience. The portions are HUGE, so definitely don't over order. We ended up with way more food than we could finish. We ordered the pork noodle, popcorn chicken, dumplings, and the coconut shrimp appetizer. The dumplings and coconut shrimp were really good, but I thought the pork noodle was a little bland and could've used more flavor. We ordered the popcorn chicken non-spicy, and I think it would've been better with a little spice. The service was fast, and our food came out quickly without much of a wait. The atmosphere is simple and traditional, nothing fancy, just a casual family-style restaurant. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for generous portions and quick service, but I'd like a little more flavor in the noodle dish.

Came with my wife and daughter for dinner, as my daughter's preschool is near by and I have been curious. Parking lot is on the smaller side, I had a little difficulty finding a spot. The restaurant wasn't full of customers yet, but about half filled with a few tables pushed together with a reservation sign. The interior is small, but open, clean and welcoming. The staff were working with a sense urgency, yet with friendliness and efficiency. They brought us water fairly quickly and took our orders a little later. Food came out timely, not too fast, not too slow. As it should when they properly cook the food to order (finish cooking?). The Xiao Long Bao was good. Not as "soupy" as I prefer, but the flavor was great. The skin was springy. The pan-fried vegetable dumplings were good. I'm not usually a fan of "pure" vegetable dumplings because there's usually too much mushrooms. This was a great filling ratio, would order again. My wife ordered the Mapo Tofu, she appreciated that it was vegetarian, since she cannot eat pork. She praised that it was flavorful and not overpowered with pure pickiness We'll likely come back.

I was expecting another dumpling house with the same flavors but this restaurant serves up more. Their flavor fusions are fun and exciting. Not just the same old dishes. Yet they do provide traditional dishes with flavors you recognize as well. For me tho it was the fun and different flavors they offer. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. Plenty of parking. The service was very friendly and they are happy to explain anything on the menu and recommend items to your taste. I will be back!

A yummy hole in the wall spot, Yum Dumpling is a fitting name for this establishment. My friend and I were craving dumplings and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was pretty packed when we walked in, definitely a good sign, but we're immediately seated. You're given complimentary kimchi and crispy noodles to start. Nice to munch on. We opted to order the chili oil wontons, vegetable dumplings, and shrimp and chive dumplings. Everything was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The skins of the dumplings are my favorite with a nice chewy and bouncy texture. Yum dumpling is going on my recommended list!

I first visited Yum Dumpling last week, and it was so good that I've already been back for a second visit! The dumplings here are absolutely incredible super juicy, flavorful, and honestly even better than some of the more well-known dumpling spots. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you can really tell they're made fresh. The portions are also very generous, so you definitely get amazing value for the price. We also tried some shrimp dishes, and I was seriously impressed. The shrimp were HUGE, super fresh, and perfectly crispy. The walnut shrimp was especially delicious -- easily one of my favorites. What I really love about this place is that it's a family-owned restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. From different kinds of dumplings to noodles and more, there's so much to try and everything we had was satisfying. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you live nearby, this is a must-try spot !!! I highly recommend it. I already know I'll be coming back here often!

First time trying this place after hearing so much about it I'm seriously throwing away the rest of my food!! Also the waiter had the audacity to ask me if I wanted my change, I felt forced to give him a tip!! Why would I have to tip you if it's to go! SMH

Nice family owned spot, we were looking for a pace with noodles and dumplings and this was perfect and not too far away. They seem to be newly opened and are in a nice cozy interior and I quite liked the ordering system using a dry erase marker on a laminated menu to mark what you want. Service was great and we were greeted with smiles and warned of warm bowls and plates. Shrimp and Pork wonton with chili oil: good little appetizer, i liked the splash of green on it from the green onions and had a good home made taste. Flavored Beef Tendon and Golden Prime Beef Soup: The spicy broth was excellent, savory and rich with a pleasant spice level. Noodles were good and for both dishes I loved having something green in the bowl to make it more appetizing. XLB + Pan Fried Buns: The thing we noticed with both of these were there was very little broth/soup inside which is one of the main reasons to order these dishes. The pan fried buns were still soft and not all the way crispy on bottom. Salt and Pepper Fried Fish: I love this dish so much and will order it when I think someone will make it right. Their version is very nice with fluffy fish inside and a crunchy slightly spicy outer layer. We had a mistake on our receipt where they only billed us for 2 soups when we got three and I happily corrected it and paid the proper amount to not "steal" from them. Thank you for the good food.

We found this place by chance while looking for someplace to eat in Orange. Truth is, we were lost and hungry. The restaurant is small, but cozy and clean. The waitress was friendly and helped us with the menu . The menu was laminated in and you you check off what you want. All the food was freshly cooked and were presentled nicely. The Dumplings are authentic and Steamed to perfection. They were simple the very best I ever have had.The dumplings had 1 piece of shrimp and the pork was finely grinded and it was portioned to the size of the dumpling. It was packed full of savory flavor.I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.If you like dumplings , this is a must try destination. read more

Went in for dinner at around 5pm. Party if 4 and we were sat down instantly. No wait time. However took around 30 mins to receive our food. I think they understood they took a while because they gave us dumplings without charging. The restaurant is very clean and staff is friendly. The food is super hot and fresh. The quality of the food is great as well. The wait is worth it but again it's unfortunate it took them about 30 mins to receive our food. Other than this 5 stars. read more

I stopped by after a hospital appointment nearby. Even before the food came out, I was already very impressed. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are kind and attentive. The menu is surprisingly extensive for a dumpling specialty restaurant. I thought it would only be dumplings, but there's a wide variety to choose from. Yum dumplings. Perfect name. The food was yum! We saw a IG post and thought let's go try it. We sat down at the perfect time. As soon as we were seated the restaurant started filling up. The restaurant looks like a typical quick eats place. Nothing fancy. We tried the vegetable dumpling, shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow fun and chicken dumplings. I wouldn't order the vegetable dumpling again. The noodle was kinda funky in texture but flavor was good. The chow fun was tasty, the chicken dumplings were good according to the wife. Not the best she's had but good. The shrimp fried rice was delicious. I thought this was the best fried rice I've had in a long time. Would come back. There are a few items I wanted to try, will be back for the fried rice and would order the chow fun again. The best part is it didn't break the bank. 4 plates for around 60. Came to try the dumplings and they were great, especially with their chili oil and black vinegar. Though the highlight for me was the beef tendon soup. Deeply flavorful and savory broth, soft noodles, and the tendon itself was tender and delicious. I'd recommend eating the tendon when the soup is hot so it keeps the best texture but still delicious every bite I had. The servers were on top of everything, very friendly and attentive. We love coming here. We come here at least once a month. It's always clean. Food is delicious. We always order the shrimp and broccoli with a side of white rice. ! It's a bit on the price end, but it's worth it especially that food is made to order so as soon as you get your food, it's hot! Our first time eating here. Yum Dumpling in Orange is fantastic! We ordered dumplings, orange chicken and fried rice and all are delicious, made with fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. i LOVED my experience at this place. the food is absolutely amazing, so flavourful and fresh. the service was good, not entirely the best but not the worst. they leave you alone for the most part, so you're able to enjoy your meal without much interruption (which i like). the seating area is nice, the music is low so you can enjoy conversations without having to yell over loud noise. read more

This is a little dumpling spot on the corner. Food is pretty good. Here's what we got: XLB - good size, plump and juice, broth was a little sweet. Wonton - tasty and well filled though I would have preferred less oyster sauce spread and more chili oil but you can dress it up with more from the sauces on the table. Braised beef tendon noodles - this was very tasty, though I wish there were more or larger pieces of tendon. Service was swift and tentative. Ambiance was cute, clean, and minimalist. They wrap their chopsticks in a sleeve, which is a nice touch for not being disposable ones. Only unpleasant part of the experience was that the floors were sticky. They need to change the mop water and mop the floors better. Having works in the restaurant industry, I notice these things but others in my party weren't bothered. I would probably eat here again, but maybe take it to go. read more

Great food! We loved the chow mien with shrimp and their dumplings. We noticed that everyone was ordering the soup, which must be good. We will try next time. Being our first time, service was great and our waitress was very patient with answering our questions. It's a small restaurant, but plenty of seats if you get there before it fills up. Today was our first time here. We ordered the cucumber salad, juicy pork dumplings, orange chicken, kung Pao chicken, and the beef chow mein. They serve really generous portions. The stafff is very friendly too. We will definitely be coming back! read more

They put a decent amount of shrimp and barbecue pork and it tasted pretty good. The green beans was a tad bit on the sweeter side which I wasn't used to, but it had decent flavors. The filet mignon was a little bit on the smaller side and there wasn't a ton of pieces in there and it was the most expensive dish of the night. I probably will skip that next time. The fish fillet was actually pretty good. All in all, 3.5/5 stars is probably what I would give it. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants if you're willing to drive a little bit out. At least it's nice that this place is conveniently close to where we live.

She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. I recently visited Yum Dumplings located at a corner plaza on Chapman and had an okay experience. The restaurant is bright with lots of available seats for Sunday lunch and service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual, making it a good spot for a quick meal. The dumplings were freshly made, with a nice variety of fillings to choose from. The only disappointment was the "stale" green onion pancakes and small serving size for $8. This was neither enjoyable nor worth the price, so I would recommend skipping it. The dry spicy dry noodles were a disappointment. It's neither dry or spicy but coated with peanut sauce. The flavors were good, and the dumplings had a decent texture--soft on the outside with a nice bite on the inside.I did find that some of the dumplings could have been a bit more flavorful, and the portions were a little on the smaller side for the price. The minute you walk in they are nice and welcoming! With a lovely looking inside ambiance . Taking a seat they bring yiur mwnue and water and let you look the menu was easy to read and had plenty of pictures for to see what you were ordering. The spam masubi was delicious and had a present dipping sauce also. The juicy pork Xiao long bao was to die for! It had such nice flavor and with the soup inside the dumpling it made the perfect bite. Honestly food could've been better, reviews are only high because of a "give us a review and you get a free appetizer" promotion they have. And service was just very slow, they need to hire 1-2 more people for customer service, only 1 person can't do it on her own. read more
