Omakase at Yujo was good - not a standout compared to other spots. overall fish was fresh but the rice wasn't as complementary. Would definitely come back for the tuna cutting experience.

Service was really great. We did the 13 course omakase for $75 which was fun. The fish was fresh and the flavors were creative. We loved the first few courses of sashimi but most of the nigiri were seared which we really prefer it to be raw!!! So wouldn't order it again but we did enjoy it overall.

Went with one of my friends, quality of fish here was very nice. Volcano rolls was very nice especially with the scallops on top. Also the tuna roll which will be pictured was also very good. Vibe was nice and pretty, and service was good. Would recommend here!

This review is for the Dallas location of Yujo. Yujo's sushi is not bad. They also have a flare for the theatrics meaning some pieces are presented with fancy plating, smoke, or spritz of gold flakes. Since Yujo is Vietnamese owned they actually have one piece of nigiri that stood out for me. On this piece they actually put a couple dots of fish sauce on top. This create a very unique taste, blending Vietnamese and Japanese flavors. It's actually very good. Two things that I didn't like were the tamago (egg) piece and the miso soup. Both did not taste good. The tamago had a weird taste to it and the miso was really watery.

Fresh sushi always. We tried the Kanpai, which is a prix fixe menu, but they were able to address shellfish allergy. I've been here before too and loved it but my only concern this time was that despite letting the chef know that I cannot have eel he put eel sauce on my hand roll. Apparently there's no eel in the sauce, but the sauce is cooked off; however, I was apprehensive so skipped it. The yellowtail sashimi and salmon nigiri were the best bites.

Wow wow wow. I didn't know I needed Yujo in my life. We ordered omakase - uni craze. Each piece is topped with fat uni. Uni, caviar, gold flakes, high quality fish and wagyu were presented in the most beautiful way. The wagyu pieces were super tender and buttery that melted in my mouth. Some of the pieces were torched to get the smoked flavor. This is one of the best omakases I've been to! I'm definitely coming back!! Highly recommend!

Great sushi spot! Wednesdays have discounted salmon sashimi. I definitely worth it. I'd recommend making a reservation since it gets busy. Tried their jalapeño margarita and it was really good. Service was quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

I went here for a birthday dinner and had their miyabi omakase! I believe the pricing was around $75 per person but honestly it was pretty filling and I loved how much more intimate this location was compared to their frisco location! The service was friendly and the pace of the courses were perfect! The oyster starter was a liiiitle fishy for me but other than that every other piece was super fresh and yummy! Loved the uni and kanpachi - the chawanmushi and miso soup served towards the end of the course was also a perfect ending to the meal :) We also tried a few of their drinks - i reeeally enjoyed the Karai drink, it was the perfect blend of spicy, refreshing, and lightly sweet! I would go back just for that drink hehe

As someone new to Dallas, I've been on the hunt for an intimate sushi spot with high-quality nigiri--and I'm so glad I found Yujo! This place came across my social media, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and quaint--exactly the kind of intimate vibe I was looking for. I went with my boyfriend, and together we tried nearly all the nigiri, from the specialty list to the standard selections. To start, I ordered the Lychee cocktail, which was perfectly balanced--sweet, light, and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the Old Fashioned, and judging by the fact that he had three of them, I think it's safe to say he loved it. The menu has an excellent selection of nigiri with creative toppings. My absolute favorite was the Kinki nigiri from the dry-aged list--our server recommended it, and it did not disappoint. I also really enjoyed the chutoro and otoro nigiri, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My boyfriend went for the Wagyu roll and absolutely LOVED it. On top of the amazing food, the service was fantastic. Our waiter checked on us consistently, offered great recommendations, and made the evening feel very personal and welcoming. Overall, the sushi here is beyond fresh, the cocktails are great, and the ambiance is perfect for a date night. I'll definitely be back to Yujo--it's already become one of my favorite spots in Dallas!

Another great dining experience. Met a few people that were in town for work who selected Yugo based on the great Yelp reviews. This place gets better with each visit this time we let Jarred decide what to serve us and everything was wonderful. The location and atmosphere is great. Wife and friends loved the music. Definitely worth a visit!

What a great experience! Yujo offers a Tuna Cutting Show once a month and I was able to attend their November show. This show is unique to Yujo and I haven't heard of anything like this in the Dallas area. When we arrived, we were seated and ordered drinks (Pacific 75 - Yuzu Sake with Honey). There was a bar area and table area. The show promptly started at 7PM where the chefs brought out the 180 lbs Bluefin Tuna! The chef explained where the fish came from (this tuna came from Baja California) and the different tuna cuts. Once the fish was sliced, the chefs started preparing the dishes since this was also a Toro Omakase. We started with a Tartare with Caviar then the different dishes came out. All throughout the omakase experience, the chef brought around the different slices of fish; he brought out the head, explained the colors of the meat, and taught us about their dry aging process, and more. The whole experience was very informational and delicious! My favorite dishes were the 22-day dry aged otoro (it was full of umami flavor) and the akami skewer (it tasted like barbecue!) After the omakase, we got shots to celebrate and we ordered a la carte at no additional cost (some dishes had an up-charge but we didn't order that). I highly recommend the Tuna Cutting Show at Yujo because it is a memorable experience! I heard about making reservations by following their Instagram page.

Tried the Uni omakase Pretty good And it is not hard to make reservations so it is a good place to go when you crave for good sushi

This location is more quiet and intimate than the other sister locations. The staff here are equally as friendly and welcoming. They guide you through the omakase course and give you an overall wonderful experience.

Tune Sashimi (we had to ask for this as a special request, they don't have sashimi on their menu!)

The manager was incredibly rude and gave the impression that we were not welcome there. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Henry checked on us often, was super patient, and just genuinely kind. Bernie kept our water full and was always nearby making sure we were good without hovering. They made the whole night feel easy and fun. The food was just as good. We started with the mushroom fondue, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced. Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Only tiny note, I wish there were more purse or coat hooks, every place needs those. Overall, we had such a great time. The service really stood out and the food totally delivered. Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.
