Turon matcha

Great spot! Yoka Tea has a really nice ambiance, friendly service, and good music. The matcha was great I tried the Turon Matcha and it was delicious . Definitely a nice place to hang out, relax, and enjoy a drink. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this cafe! The matcha was so yummy (so was the hojicha!) and there was plenty of seating inside. We grabbed a window seat and got to look at all the pretty greenery outside. Such a relaxing time and the perfect way to start a Saturday morning

Stopped by on my visit to Seattle and was very impressed with how good the drinks are. So far the best coffee/matcha I've had in Seattle and even some of the popular spots I've had in LA. Service was prompt and the shop had decent amount of seating. I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm out here.

Cute little spot! Very chill and perfect for studying. They have outdoor seating too, which is nice. The matcha and hojicha were really good, and the customer service was great.

Honestly disappointed this time around. I've been here multiple times and the drinks have been too inconsistent, especially the einspanner. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt with 3 stars because when made well, they have one of the best einspanners in Seattle. However, when made poorly, it is very lacking in flavor and has a bitter/unpleasant aftertaste.

Yoka Tea took over the former Verite Coffee & Cupcake Royale space in Seattle's Madrona neighborhood. They have been very successful the past year, that they will be opening a second location in Ballard. I had this bookmarked for awhile, but finally had the opportunity to stop in on 5/15/26. I was also amazed at the retail & residential transformation. Efiicient & well staffed. Bright transformation with merch and innovative beverages. Definitely a hub for the cafe laptop crowd and lively meetups. Decent music overhead. All the tables, counter, and shared seating were packed. So I took in the vibe seated on a bench by the entrance. I enjoyed my Hojicha Einspanner. It held up even in traffic driving through Madrona, CD, North CapHill, Montlake onward heading back north. Great spot in Madrona. Looking forward to their second spot in Ballard!

Turon matcha - literally my fav matcha ever in my entire life

Drinks - I have gotten a few drinks here, but my latest obsession is the turon matcha. i have never tasted anything like it and it is legit a turon taste. like it blows my mind that someone put this in a drink. Service - always super friendly. Ambiance - very chill. meant to hang out here for a while. they also have a ton of other asian goodies inside like my fav hot garlic, the black sesame spread and the SEASONAL pineapple bun spread.

Before my Seattle trip, Yoka Tea was one of the main matcha spots I knew I wanted to hit up and I'm so glad I did!! I stopped by for my matcha fix two days in a row. The staff was so sweet, drinks were ready quick, and the overall vibe of the cafe is perfect for relaxing and studying. I also love the selection of Asian goods and local artist-made stickers they have by the register (I got a totoro sticker)! I first tried the turon matcha which I thought was good but had a mild banana flavor. I was expecting more of a caramelized flavor but I still thought it was good. The next day, I ordered the matcha einspanner. Their housemade yoka whip was so yummy and added the perfect amount of sweetness to the matcha latte. Overall, the matcha here is smooth and both drinks weren't too sweet.

I've been on the hunt for the best Matcha in Seattle and yoka tea is a top contender. It is Korean and Filipino owned, which makes my heart happy and the drinks were truly authentic. I got a Matcha Einspanner which was absolutely amazing. It was creamy and the Matcha flavor was amazing and it is a very large drink for the price compared to other matcha places. I wish I lived in Seattle so that I could come back and try their other tea drinks as they all look delicious and it made me so happy that they have Boba and toppings . The inside is very mid-century modern and beautiful. Lots of spaces to work from and outlets. They also have a little mini market where they sell Matcha among other things. I loved everything about my experience there and would absolutely go back. The employees were also so sweet.

Yoka is seriously one of my favorite cafes in Seattle! The vibes are unmatched super cozy, great aesthetic. I'm honestly obsessed with their Turon Matcha Latte. I don't even usually go for overly sweet drinks, but theirs is just perfect. The banana flavor comes through so clearly without tasting artificial, and the banana jam on the bottom is so yummm. I could drink it every day and not get tired of it. The wait could be awhile because they hand whisk every matcha drink but it's so worth it. Definitely try to Lychee Matcha spritz. (i forgot the actual name of the drink but it was a Lychee Matcha soda) Definitely worth checking out if you're in Seattle and want a cute cafe with unique drinks!

Good neighborhood matcha and hojicha with Anyoung Super merch. Limited seating with many students studying here, but great outdoor views.

I'm actually a matcha hater; the flavor is fine enough, but bad matcha is terrible: horrendously powdery and too strong of a grassy flavor. However, Yoka Tea genuinely does the best version of matcha I've had. Their matcha is smooooooth, not bitter at all, and the cream is fluffy without being overly sweet. We tried both the Turon Matcha and the Matcha Einspanner. Personally, I preferred the turon with the touch of banana flavor, but both are great options! Location wise it's a bit out of the way and street parking only, but if you're going to get matcha, this one is worth going out of your way for. Bonus: there wasn't really a wait on a rainy Saturday afternoon at 2PM.

Yoka Tea is a modern Filipino-Korean cafe with some cool vibes and unique drinks. To get here, there is street parking all around the area. Inside, they have a spacious setup with a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different coffee and matcha drink to choose from. I ended up trying the Yuzu Matcha-Ade and it was super refreshing! All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come stop by and support!

The workers here are nice enough, but seem to not like their job all that much. One honest worker had told me that many of the food items which the owner claims is made in house, is in fact not made by them at all. For example, all of their breads and all of their donuts. Some seasonal desserts as well. Baked fresh each day? They make their pastries in bulk, freeze them and then sell them through the span of a week or two. Most of the cookies are very stale, some of the pastries have been undercooked. Etc, etc, etc.

Light was flooding every corner; that soft Seattle glow that makes you want to pull out your journal and pretend you live inside a cozy indie film. Ventilation was perfect. Temperature was perfect. Seating options? Abundant. And not the awkward wobbly kind either. This spot is built for lingering. I grabbed a latte, sat down, and immediately fell into an art journaling trance. There's something about being surrounded by curated shelves of books and cute little treasures that just unlocks your brain. A rare category, honestly. If you're looking for a café that feels like a creative reset button; this is a great one.

Clearly, I've had ongoing issues with this location not filling my premium-priced drink to the top. Today, they left an inch of the cup unfilled. I politely asked them to remake the drink so it was full. The young, twenty-something barista had the nerve to tell me, "We are instructed to leave the cup unfilled by half an inch from the top." (It was at least a full inch unfilled.) I began to explain that while I don't mind paying the premium price, I do expect a full cup. He then said something about, "this is how we measure it." I mentioned that he's made my drink before and filled it to the top as requested. At that point, I decided this would absolutely be my last visit to this Starbucks. I've complained about the short-filled drinks here before, and I never, EVER, have this problem at any other Starbucks I've visited across the continental U.S. Is it a lack of training? I can't help but wonder. Why is this Starbucks so consistently bad at filling drinks? I asked for a refund but felt awful because I was so frustrated. Most of the staff there is very nice. This young fellow's excuse was pathetic. I'll say it again -- if we're paying a premium price, fill the drink to the top. For Pete's sake, I even have it listed as my name on the cup.
