    Egg rolls

In a word... meh. The good: The location is central and easy to find -- it's right by my work, so it's convenient. The food is usually decent (though I've had a few real misses). Today's katsu bowl was actually really good! So, points for that. The egg rolls, though? A hard pass. They were greasy, bland, fried but somehow still mushy? and forgettable. The not-so-good: There are a few things that make this spot a struggle. First, the layout. The line to order moves quickly -- they usually have 2-3 people at the registers -- but once you've ordered, you're just... stuck awkwardly standing in the middle of chaos. The waiting area overlaps with the drink station, sauce bar, trash bins, and the rest of the line. It's cramped, messy, and stressful when it gets even a little busy. Second: the prices. I paid just over $20 for a bowl, a drink, and egg rolls. For that price, I expect something that feels a bit more worth it -- better flavor, better portions, or any kind of experience that feels like a step above average. This just wasn't it. And finally, the service. A guy blatantly cut in front of me in line, and the employee said nothing. When I finally did step up, I wasn't acknowledged for several minutes. No apology, no greeting -- just a lackluster "what can I get you?" when the person finally decided to speak to me. It left a bad taste in my mouth before I even got my food. Bottom line: Yogis works in a pinch if you want something fast and familiar, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this location -- and I definitely can't recommend it with confidence.

I tried the chicken teriyaki bowl at Yogi's Grill. The portion size was good and it was pretty filling, and the rice was cooked perfectly. Overall it was just okay though--the chicken was a little chewy in some parts. Not bad, but could have been better.

Great central location walking distance from corporate building. Plenty of seating available in the dining area. I come here for the Chicken Teriyaki bowl is always so good and tasty and you can always add any sauces to your liking at the condiments bar. Service is a bit slow during lunch hours.

Apparently, we got there before closing and there was a very mean very extraordinarily rude employee. They don't wear name tags so I can't call her out here. She wouldn't let people use the restroom even though it was 15 minutes before closing because she had already cleaned it. And then exactly at closing, she just told everyone they had to leave even though they let them order food. It's not like we knew when they closed. It's across the street from the Footprint Center and a bunch of tourists were just there trying to find something to eat. She also locked the gate to get out of the restaurant with a bike lock. People were still eating inside. Some people hadn't even gotten their food yet. She made a big fuss that we asked her to unlock it so we could leave she should not have a job. I ordered the Katsu chicken and it was actually OK.

Tofu Teriyaki Bowl comes with nothing although the picture menu above the counter shows it with veggies. Total disappointment

Tofu bowl comes with nothing but rice although it's pictured with vegetables in the photo menu above the counter. Super disappointing, tastes inedible. I asked about the vegetables and was told I had to ask for them while ordering. I was given an option and I thought I was getting what I pointed in in the picture I wasn't offered any vegetables as a result either.

Downtown Phoenix location. Convenient in all the best ways!

So good! Nice, quick, high-quality food. Really appreciated speaking to the owner. All staff friendly and helpful.

Our server Phoenix was so nice and hilarious he brought out delicious rolls and made our dining experience smooth!

Great service and less than a block from the Footprint Center! That's right something healthy to eat and drink with quick service. I had the sushi that's hit the My husband had the chicken and beef bowl that's was more than plenty (large) with a beer for less than $15 Less expensive than arena food for sure. Highly recommend We will definitely be back!

Decent place to eat when other places in the area have a long wait. Food was good, nice outdoor patio on the street.

Customer service and District Manager conversation

Example of terrible customer service. The "district manager" even called and said the same thing in addition to "they pay me a lot of money, and $50/$70 is going down the drain for 20mins." David "the district manager" also called me a liar and confirmed he called me a liar because "there's no way the cashier misunderstood me.

Funny enough, this actually wasn't even the exact restaurant my partner had been thinking of when he brought it up, but honestly I'm so glad we ended up here anyway because the food was REALLY good. We ordered the flaming ohmygod sushi roll, and man... it was amazing. Not only was the presentation fun, but the sushi itself actually tasted incredible too, which sometimes isn't the case with more "gimmicky" menu items. It was so good that I literally ordered another roll to-go and took it on the plane back home with me because I already knew I'd be craving it later. That alone should say enough about how much I liked it. I also tried the matcha martini, and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. It had the perfect balance of matcha flavor and alcohol where neither one overpowered the other. Sometimes matcha drinks either taste way too earthy or completely lose the matcha flavor under the alcohol, but this one was super smooth, flavorful, and really well done. The restaurant itself also has a really nice atmosphere. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor area definitely has a more upscale vibe than your usual sushi spot and that makes the experience feel a little more elevated and perfect for a date night. On top of all that, the servers were super friendly and provided genuinely great service throughout the meal. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made the experience feel really comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, this place completely exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I visited today for the first time in a while and left feeling really disappointed, it's changed, and not for the better. I always order the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (no meat, replace with egg, extra egg, add corn and cabbage). I was surprised to be told they no longer offer cabbage, which was one of my favorite additions. The eggs were also different. They used to be served whole, and I loved slicing into them to reveal that beautiful golden yolk. This time they arrived already sliced, and once the broth was added, the yolks started to cook. I was also given a side of arugula, which honestly has no place in a ramen bowl. It felt very out of place. There were also pickled carrots, which I ended up removing, not for me. The broth was noticeably greasier than before, which was another letdown. I immediately texted my best friend (the one who originally introduced me to this place) and she shared the same thoughts. She even mentioned telling her server, "Don't mess with a good thing," and that really sums it up. I'm truly sad to say this experience left me very disappointed, and I may have to start looking for a new ramen spot. WHHHHHHYYYYYYY

From the very first glance, it felt like something I had been craving without even realizing it. The ribbons of tagliatelle were impossibly light, perfectly coated, not weighed down but lifted by a delicate, silky sauce that clung to every bite like it belonged there. And then--the lobster. Sweet, tender, and rich in that unmistakable way that only fresh lobster can be, it didn't just complement the dish, it elevated it into something unforgettable. But the real thrill? Breaking into that lobster claw. There was something almost ceremonial about it--the crack, the reveal, the reward. It turned the meal into an experience, something interactive and satisfying in a way that went beyond flavor. It was indulgent, yes--but also playful, exciting, and deeply gratifying. Every bite felt like rediscovery. Like reminding myself why pasta has earned its place as one of life's simplest but most profound pleasures. After five years, this wasn't just worth the wait--it exceeded every expectation I had built up in my mind. This wasn't just a dish. It was a comeback.
