Both the bourbon and bacon flavors work off of each other and the sweetness of the icing, neither are fully present. What's created is sweet and salty combo with some flair. I highly recommend trying this, though it is sweeter than my perference. The icing on the pomegranate sourdough donut was too sweet though it enhanced the tanginess of the bread. It was hard to bit through, we ended up cutting into bit size pieces. As an experiment, I removed the icing from a standard donut and found the bread to be similar to holla or challah, except dryer. The croissant ended up tasting like a loaf of white bread. The layers were thick and not that much butter flavor came through.

I ended up bought a steak ale and mushroom pie, an Apple raspberry and blackberry pie, and numerous chocolate and candy. As I left I saw the scones. The owner gave me a strawberry scone on the house.
