I think this place was maybe 3 stars for me but I bumped it up to 4 as the instructor I had today was excellent. I like a nice sweaty hot vinyasa to get me out of my head and came for a class today and really enjoyed it. This studio is in Arcadia where a lot of things are but the studio itself is one room, a changing room outside the studio and a bathroom tucked in the back. Lockers available to store your items. No shower available. Yoga Box offers 3 free classes so I decided to take them up on the deal. I've been practicing yoga for about 25 years and have often tried different studios in this way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first class was so so, but the teacher was nice and even gave me a new student welcome gift. She was a bit too eager to talk to me and I just wanted to practice and flow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The other issue was that I couldn't understand the instructions clearly as our teacher had an accent where I couldn't quite make out the instructions. But, she had a very nice playlist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What makes this place a bit annoying is that once they get your phone number, they have someone by the name of Emma that won't stop bugging you about signing up for a monthly membership.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't mind actually buying some classes here and occasionally taking a class here and there but I was firm about not wanting a monthly membership (i already belong to 2 gyms) and this person couldn't take a hint, so that was a turn off. The thing that saves this place is I took a very good class with Debbie today. She gave excellent instruction, got us all sweaty and loved her Hawaii playlist. Ukulele is the way to my heart. Overall, it was an ok studio, give a try as they do give you 3 free classes and decide for yourself if you want to keep coming here. read more

Came here while I had a trial with class pass for 730am Power Yoga, which was heated, but not as hot as some hot yoga classes can be. I've passed by this place a lot but didn't know much about it. They have one big room, with some fun LED lights, and lockers to use outside of the room. I took a class with Carly and she was a great instructor. I could hear her clearly the whole time in the class, and we got nice and sweaty in there. read more

The heat was warm but it never got to be overwhelming. There was a lot of people in class but it didn't feel like sardines packed into a space. The music wasn't your traditional slow yoga music, but that really added to the vibe for me! Gabbi also adjusted the lights throughout the yoga flow to make it such a fun and unique experience. With the complementary three-pack, I took two yoga classes, both on Sunday, both taught by the same young woman, Jennifer. They were both relaxing Recovery/Restore classes, non-heated. Overall, I had a positive experience - this teacher was super friendly & gave good directions w/ variations/adaptations. As others have mentioned, the classes are very basic/simple. I want more of a challenge + more of a variety of classes. I dont like how I got bombarded w/ 3-4 text messages after my first class, encouraging me to join. My first time here. And I took a candlelit restorative yoga on Sunday evening. Parking is in a large strip mall so fairly easy. I walked in and was immediately greeted by our instructor. I told her I was new and she walked me through the expectations. I got all set up in a very clean and spacious room. Class held about 30 and it was comfortably spaced. The instructor was fabulous. I went to the restore yoga class here. It's similar to yin, which I liked. The room was dark and candlelit, which set the scene perfectly and I really enjoyed Jenn as the instructor. My only complaint is that it was incredibly hot in the studio. I've come to expect that in most yin/restorative classes bc they take place after a hot yoga class, but this one was close to stifling. It never cooled down and it was a very hot night. So I would go back but I'd need to wait until the weather outside is cooler. read more

I initially started taking classes here because of my burn out from my weightlifting routine at the regular gym. I received the first three free classes which anyone can get through their website! I decided after the first three classes I would then move forward with the unlimited monthly membership if I was enjoying it. This is the most economic route if you want to go to numerous classes a month. Since then I have gone to class at least four times a week. All of the instructors have been very warm and welcoming and have quickly learned my name. It has been a very safe space for me and something that I look forward to every day. So far I have taken the Powerflow Vinyasa classes and the recovery restore classes. I decided I would do the more challenging yoga sculpt classes once I have a better hang of things. I have only ever intermittently taken a yoga class once or twice a year so I am very much a beginner. It has greatly improved my mental health and I really enjoy the meditative aspect of yoga, the mind-body connection is so important! The instructors have been very friendly and the entrance has a locker area for your things, you can bring your own lock if you wish. They also lock the front door during class for security! The room itself is very inviting and there is also a filtered water station and a bathroom for use. You can rent mats or towels as needed, and signing up is very simple. There has been no issue with me signing up for class the same day or hours before in case you're not sure if you want to attend a class that day. I definitely plan to keep my membership here for as long as I can! read more

I've been wanting to get into yoga for my gym recovery days and to add more practice of mindfulness and movement into my life. I saw great reviews of this studio so I signed up for their offer of three (3) free classes when you create an account. I've since used my free classes and just completed my first paid session last night, I purchased the 5 class bundle. This is a great location for many reasons. The inside is spacious despite there being large classes, the lighting is low lit and colored which creates a peaceful and distraction-free atmosphere, and there's good diversity in the attendees who come to the practice (gender, age, body types, etc). They offer multiple class types with lots of availability through the week and each of the instructors do a great job with creating a welcoming, calm, peaceful, inclusive, and focused environment for all. If I lived closer and knew I could do more sessions in the week I'd get the unlimited membership, but for now will probably continue to buy their bundled options as I work on incorporating the practice of yoga into my weekly routines. read more

First time at Yoga Box this morning and loved the movement/flow with Kris! He's funny, warm and gentle when calling the movements. I felt jiggly and and sweaty and grateful! I've had some pretty rough experiences with the hot yoga in the past and felt very comfortable here. Each person appeared to be fully focused on their own practice and were guided to condition themselves as they needed and wanted to. As a first-timer I could borrow a mat and towel free of charge, and participate in 3 free classes. This is a pretty awesome deal for the Arcadia area! I've been going here since May 2024 and while I love the workout and the instructors the studio is not clean. I don't think this is any fault of the instructors, the company utilizes members as the "after class clean up crew" in exchange for free memberships. I've never seen anyone clean the weights or the blocks. You can even smell some mild mildew when you walk into the studio. I want to keep going here but I know I can pay a little bit more for a different heated studio nearby that is cleaner. If they could find a way to fix this issue I'd give it five stars. read more

First time visiting Yoga Box. The yoga sculpt with Taylor was a blast. I have tried pretty much every gym/class out there and this was one of my favorites. It's warm but not brutally hot. Lots of variations for newer gym-goers but still enough to challenge everyone. Playlist was so good. Taylor was incredibly welcoming and warm. I can't wait to go back next Sunday. read more

Recently moved to Phoenix and trialed yoga box and another yoga studio for their yoga sculpt. Decided to go with yoga box because the price is unbeatable. There's no bells and whistles like fancy locker rooms but the studio is really clean and nice. Instructors are very good. Compared to the other yoga studio I was looking at the classes are truly different each week. I also like that they have weights in the back of the studio if you wanted to change your weights in the middle class. The bathroom and water fountain are easily accessible from the studio in the middle of class. read more

If you show up BEFORE the start of class, the doors will already be locked and no one will answer the phone or let you in, and then you get charged $$ for "cancelling" even though you were there ON TIME BEFORE class. Drive 45 minutes to get here, show up on time, and no one will let you in or answer their "immediate" text line to help. read more

I was very nervous for my first class because I have never ever tried yoga before. The instructor was so kind and inviting. She showed me around and was very helpful. I tried restore because I was told it was the easiest for beginners but it isn't much of a workout... BUT because they were so kind and made me feel so comfortable, I felt good entering the more challenging classes because I knew it was a no judgement zone. As a first time yoga student, Yoga Box has been a 10/10 experience so far! They offer several different classes, all the instructors are super friendly, and learning the movements on the fly are not as tough as I'd thought they'd be. The Sculpt classes are very demanding yet I always get a great workout. Vinyasa is more of a moderate-to-fast pace and almost as challenging as sculpt. Recovery restore is nice to relax, forget about the day, and want to take a nap during stretches. The prices seem very reasonable, the studio is located in a great area, and the signup/mat setup/post-workout processes are very quick. I've recommended this location to many friends and will absolutely continue to support and take yoga here!!!!! read more

I have taken several classes here and tried a few different instructors (Carly, Anne, Kris) and every one has been great. The studio is clean and easy to get to with a lot of parking. The instructors have all made me feel very welcome and not intimidated despite the fact that I am somewhat novice in my practice. I have tried other studios that don't make me feel as comfortable about needing to use blocks or needing to go easier than other students in class. I had the most incredible workout with Taylor this morning! I met Taylor about a year ago and kept in touch knowing I'd be back in the area this year. She is such a joy!
