Kjoy offered me some free classes, she didn't need to as her instruction is solid! Thank you!

I absolutely love Kjoy's classes, and I'm really happy to know that she has now opened up her 1st Black Swan yoga studios here. She's also announced there are gonna be at least 5 or 6 more here in Phoenix. Cool! I finally today got to try out her class in her studio, and it was amazing (but also very hard). Kjoy is the real deal, a very solid yoga class and you will be crawling out of the class. She will work you but you will thank her after the class is over. A friend of mine also joined me today to experience this studio. BSY at this location just opened about a month ago and the studio is offering a free week, so please go try it out! BSY has locations throughout the country and its great we now have one here also. The studio is painted in black and it's a nice space with a beautiful mural. There are cubby holes to store your items . Blocks are provided and you can rent mats here. I also saw a fridge selling waters and other liquids. There is a bathroom, which you walk thru a gym to get to. Two things to note here. Parking lot is small, but I was able to get slammed spot. The only thing I wished for was that there were celing fans in the studio. Kjoy originally taught some guest classes at Madison Improvement Club awhile back and then I didn't see her for a couple of years. I then randomly at Vikara yoga events bumped into her and it was such a delight to see her again! She also gave me a bunch of free passes for classes, and she's a lovely, bubbly person! I'll definitely be back to her studio and right now, if u join as a founding member, the annual fee is $480! That's a pretty sweet deal for a solid yoga studio! I'll definitely be a regular here and go check out Kjoy's classes, you will work really hard and your heart and mind will thank you for it!

Post Yogabox Update:…read more Calves? Too sore to function. Legs? Don't exist. Glutes? BBL. Lower back? Gone. 10/10 will go again Thank you, Instructor Morgan!

I think this place was maybe 3 stars for me but I bumped it up to 4 as the instructor I had today…read morewas excellent. I like a nice sweaty hot vinyasa to get me out of my head and came for a class today and really enjoyed it. This studio is in Arcadia where a lot of things are but the studio itself is one room, a changing room outside the studio and a bathroom tucked in the back. Lockers available to store your items. No shower available. Yoga Box offers 3 free classes so I decided to take them up on the deal. I've been practicing yoga for about 25 years and have often tried different studios in this way. The first class was so so, but the teacher was nice and even gave me a new student welcome gift. She was a bit too eager to talk to me and I just wanted to practice and flow. The other issue was that I couldn't understand the instructions clearly as our teacher had an accent where I couldn't quite make out the instructions. But, she had a very nice playlist. What makes this place a bit annoying is that once they get your phone number, they have someone by the name of Emma that won't stop bugging you about signing up for a monthly membership. I don't mind actually buying some classes here and occasionally taking a class here and there but I was firm about not wanting a monthly membership (i already belong to 2 gyms) and this person couldn't take a hint, so that was a turn off. The thing that saves this place is I took a very good class with Debbie today. She gave excellent instruction, got us all sweaty and loved her Hawaii playlist. Ukulele is the way to my heart. Overall, it was an ok studio, give a try as they do give you 3 free classes and decide for yourself if you want to keep coming here.
