I came here because of Hannah! Thanks for inviting me and letting me know of this gem of a studio. I can't wait until sweatshop opens more locations. The whole concept is amazing. They were really nice and accommodating . I came here for yoga and really enjoyed my experience. After being a CorePower girlie I might just never go back to CorePower. The music was all vibes!! I loved it! I can't wait to come back. Also the instructor Justin was really funny because he asked us if he wanted us to open up the windows since it was a little hot inside. We all laughed because it's way hotter outside #ArizonaThangs lol

**REVIEW FOR VISITOR DROP IN CLASS EXPERIENCE** I was visiting Phoenix for an extended weekend, and looking for a local yoga spot that offered to drop in classes. Luckily, I found sweatshop and can confidently say that the drop in process was so easy! They recommended I download the sweatshop app to view the schedule and show up 15 minutes early to sign up and fill out additional paperwork. So thankful I didn't have to create an account! Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted by the owner and instructor, filled out some paperwork and rented a mat for class. FYI: if you're from out of state, the drop in fee was only $15, and your first mat rental fee is waived! They also offer towels and showers - perfect set up if you're traveling and didn't bring gear. The class itself was engaging, amazing music, hardcore flow class, packed and sweaty (room is heated to 90°). 10/10 recommend this spot. It's so we'll organized, clean, and offers so much and then some. I believe they also offer spin & barre classes but didn't try that out. Thanks for a lovely traveler / drop in experience sweatshop! **ps: lots of parking!

The Sweatshop on Central is a great local yoga, barre and spin studio at the Uptown Plaza on Central Ave and Camelback Rd. The teachers are great at leading challenging sequences that can also be modified to make it easier are more strenuous. Ashley, Kristin, Kandi and Bex are the yoga instructors that I normally go to, have not yet tried the spin classes or a barre session. Afterwards, treat yourself to a cold brew or iced tea at Aj's.

I love the location of this studio and the fact they offer a broad selection of workouts. You can do spin, yoga and barre. I signed up for the unlimited 2 week offer they have for first time clients and only did spin as I don't like yoga nor barre but those classes were packed so I'm guessing people love them. Spin classes were good and my favorite instructor was Aeisha who really made the studio live up to their name and made me sweat a ton with her upbeat spin class. The schedule is flexible and you can come to classes as early as 5:30 am. I love that they have showers on site in case you come to an early class and want to head straight to work. This is the first studio that I've gone to that has hair ties for us girls in the bathroom and I loved those little details. I will likely sign up for more classes soon.

What a great studio! Awesome location, excellent space, and kind instructors. After class, E and I snuck over to watch the Suns at Huss Brewing. City living at its finest. The music is tasteful, teachers are kind and meet you where you are, and are always very friendly. Drop in prices range from $18 to $22, very reasonable. I'm so happy I found this place. I worked as a fitness instructor before Covid and have missed the studio environment. This studio is a great place to start again after a long break. This studio is a great place for beginners. I have yet to take their spin or barre classes. Hot tip: they are not doing lockers so if you bring a lot of stuff to class or like to change in studio, make sure to bring a small bag. I am usually coming from work and have bulky shoes and need to change my outfit. I will definitely bring a pair of sandals in the car so I don't have to bump my doc martens as I'm practicing.

After barre... garage doors open on a nice day!

This is my new neighborhood studio for all things fitness!! They've got yoga, barre, and spin and so far all the teachers have been so fun and energetic. I also love when the garage doors are open! Definitely called sweatshop for a reason because I always feel like I got in a good and sweaty workout. Also it's location in uptown plaza is so nice bc you can grab brunch or any other food right after your class to reward yourself :)

I stopped here this morning for my daily sweat sesh! I found this spot on ClassPass and was really excited to try. The location was in the Uptown Plaza in Phoenix and it was too cool. The yogi was very kind and helpful upon arrival and thoughtful explained to me how the studio was run. The studio adhered to CDC guidelines and was very cautious about protecting themselves and their guests. The yoga class was incredible and I definitely got my stretch and sweat in. It was perfect! I'd totally recommend trying this spot out.

Hello! I saw on your site you give discounts to a variety of first responders/essential workers. Are nurses included in that?

Hi Emily, Thanks so much for reaching out! We did not typically include them in the discount, but…

I like a nice sweaty hot vinyasa to get me out of my head and came for a class today and really enjoyed it. This studio is in Arcadia where a lot of things are but the studio itself is one room, a changing room outside the studio and a bathroom tucked in the back. Lockers available to store your items. No shower available. Yoga Box offers 3 free classes so I decided to take them up on the deal. I've been practicing yoga for about 25 years and have often tried different studios in this way. The first class was so so, but the teacher was nice and even gave me a new student welcome gift. She was a bit too eager to talk to me and I just wanted to practice and flow. The other issue was that I couldn't understand the instructions clearly as our teacher had an accent where I couldn't quite make out the instructions. But, she had a very nice playlist. What makes this place a bit annoying is that once they get your phone number, they have someone by the name of Emma that won't stop bugging you about signing up for a monthly membership. I don't mind actually buying some classes here and occasionally taking a class here and there but I was firm about not wanting a monthly membership (i already belong to 2 gyms) and this person couldn't take a hint, so that was a turn off. The thing that saves this place is I took a very good class with Debbie today. She gave excellent instruction, got us all sweaty and loved her Hawaii playlist. Ukulele is the way to my heart. Overall, it was an ok studio, give a try as they do give you 3 free classes and decide for yourself if you want to keep coming here.

I have a very tight back and limited mobility, so there are certain back-strengthening poses such as Cobra, Locust etc I'm simply unable to perform at this point. Toward the end of class, with less than 10 minutes remaining, the class transitioned into a back series. Rather than attempting poses I knew my body couldn't safely do, I quietly moved into Child's Pose and Pigeon Pose to continue stretching and listening to my body, which is something I believed yoga encouraged. Instead of checking in with me privately or asking if I was okay, I was asked to get up and leave the in front of everyone. I was told my poses were inappropriate, that this was not an "flow" series and it was insulting to the rest of the class. It was humiliating and completely contrary to everything I believe yoga represents. Yoga should be a place of acceptance, mindfulness, and meeting your body where it is not a place where you're publicly singled out because you're modifying poses to accommodate your physical limitations. I left the studio almost in tears. Afterward, I spoke with the assistant manager, who was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. She listened to my concerns and assured me she would escalate the situation to the head manager, and I truly appreciated the way she handled our conversation. Unfortunately, the experience itself has left such a negative impression that I will not be returning. I also cannot recommend this studio to anyone who views yoga as a safe and welcoming environment for all levels and abilities. My hope in sharing this review is not to attack anyone personally, but to encourage growth. I sincerely hope Niru Gupta reflects on this experience and approaches situations like this differently in the future. Not every student has the same level of flexibility, strength, or experience, and many people attend yoga specifically to improve those limitations. A brief private conversation or simple check-in would have been far more appropriate than publicly asking a student to leave. Every student deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe in a yoga class, regardless of their physical abilities. Sadly, that was not my experience here.

The heat of the classroom was the hottest I've experienced, and I've attended a handful of classes around the valley. If you're new to heated classes, I would work your way up to this class/studio. They do offer great pricing for class packs if you're interested in trialing it out for two weeks. If you're sensitive to heat/scent, I wouldn't recommend a heated class as you DO sweat heavily as well as all other participants. Meaning - you WILL smell other people and their sweat.
