I've been coming to Remedy Pilates for almost 3 years and it has completely changed how my body moves and looks. I started more than 75 lbs overweight -- my trainer suggested we try Pilates and we picked Remedy because it was close to home. After a few group classes I realized I needed more one-on-one attention, so I started training with Jess Pate. Over the next year I lost 45 lbs and got hooked. When Jess's schedule filled up, she connected me with Peyton Kirke, who has been amazing working around my ankle and shoulder issues since she's dealt with similar limitations herself before she began Pilates. I'm a pretty confident person, but Pilates humbled me fast (I fell in well during my very first class -- if you know, you know!). Thanks to Jess, Peyton, and the whole team, I can now keep up with everyone in class. Kelly Snailum has built such a warm, welcoming studio here. Every instructor is great -- Steve, Erika, Alexis, and Jacque, just to name a few. Remedy doesn't just feel like a workout, it feels like a community that supports you through the highs and lows. If you're on the fence, just try it. You will not be sorry. read more

Lovely studio and good instructors! Easy to find parking. The classes can be hard but not too hard. They are really nice and welcoming. Easy to book the class online. read more

Bridgit, our instructor, was great at leading our class. For my first barre class it was intense but easy to follow. You're able to walk inside even though there's a class right by the front desk. The front desk area is small and there's only a bathroom, no showers at this location. The music was good, the app doesn't show how many spots left but they did accommodate for me and my friend to do the class together. I gave a 3 star because they never answered the phone and the pilates reformer class we walked through had no music not sure if that's normal. read more

Tough class, different variations and harder circuits than most Pilates studios I've been to. Class went quickly and the instructor walked around making corrections where needed. Small class capacity but great location and space! read more

I decided to try a Pilates class here off of ClassPass and glad I did. I have never done Pilates using equipment or the reformer. Natasha was very helpful explaining the equipment to me and telling me queues she would use during class. Her class was pretty fast paced so you really felt the burn which was great. We used multiple pieces of equipment which was nice to have variety and not stay in the same position too long! I will definitely have to try their classes again! read more

This is an honest attempt at a biased review. I am one of the Lead Instructors at this studio and the Owner is a longtime friend of mine. My review here is going to focus on the facts of what the studio does and what it offers. This Pilates studio is owned and operated by Kelly Snailum, who is a Master Trainer through the Pilates Points Center. This location in the Arcadia neighborhood of Eastern Central Phoenix opened in the Fall of 2018 and is the sister studio to Remedy Pilates and Barre in Scottsdale on East Shea Blvd which opened in 2008. The studio is located in the historic Gaslight District shops of Arcadia. The atmosphere of the studio will immediately capture you with its open rafters in the ceiling, and the entire Western wall is the original red brick. The big Northern facing windows let in natural light that creates an inviting and comfortable setting. Remedy Pilates features Balanced Body equipment. There are 6 Clinical Reformer / Tower Combination machines spread out across the spacious studio. There are 6 EXO Chairs, and a Trapeze Table "Cadillac." The studio has a separate room for group fitness classes including mat Pilates, Barre, and TRX. The services offered by the studio besides group classes are Private one-on-one Pilates sessions and small group semi-private sessions for 2 or 3 people. Remedy provides a Teacher Trainer program that has certified more than 100 teachers over a decade plus through the 500 hour comprehensive Pilates Sports Center program. If you are here often enough you will notice Teacher Trainers working on their hours, cleaning the studio, and observing classes. There are discounted packages for a session with a Teacher Trainer available for purchase. The Pilates classes at Remedy are not leveled. With classes limited to 6 people, a well trained Instructor can "Level up" the workout to each client offering variations for more advanced practitioners or modifications for those with movement issues or limitations. This is one of the things that sets us apart and earns us our reputation. With the exception of Stretch focused classes on weekends, all classes are an open format. Clients who come multiple times a week can expect to use every piece of apparatus from the Reformer, to the Chair, and the Tower. You can expect high energy from the Group Fitness classes. The sound system annoys the neighbor but our awesome playlists keep you moving through those sweaty barre classes, core crunching mat Pilates, and the crazy cardio TRX classes. From sessions with Master and Lead Trainers, to practice hours with with our Teacher Trainers, we have you surrounded by tens of thousands of hours of experience. Everybody, as in everyone's body, can feel benefit from a regular Pilates practice. It can be customized around your ailments and limitations so that you can keep moving. If you've tried Pilates before you know this. If you have not tried Pilates yet I hope you do soon. read more

Jessica S was absolutely amazing! I brought my mother in for semi private session for her birthday. This was the perfect outing for during Covid. It was just the three of us Jessica was Covid friendly and warm and knowledgeable about Pilates. I do mat Pilates frequently, this reformer is a whole other beast. The core concepts of isolation are similar but the machine tower and equipment add a bit of complexity that is sure to keep everyone happy and fit! I cannot wait to book my other classes with Jessica! She is the master of a good core workout! Come prepared read more

I am a recent attendee of Remedy's classes, and I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Sheyda during my first mat class! Her exercises targeted a lot of different areas of the body, and I left that class feeling well worked and motivated to continue going to more difficult classes even though I'm still a beginner! I have done two classes with Sheyda now, and she is truly fantastic! read more

I could not have been more excited when I heard Remedy was opening a location in Arcadia. The quality of classes is so good that I come from work in Tempe for class on a weekly basis (and then head back to the East Valley to go home). If I'm facing rush hour traffic BOTH WAYS for it you know it's good! The studio is super cute, modern yet comfortable and makes you feel welcome. Jenna (and Steve, when he subs for Jenna) both teach a great reformer class that kicks my butt but also is actually super fun. Definitely recommend this spot for any beginners and old hands alike! read more

Went here to try a free class and I loved it! I had done pilates before, but this was for sure a little different than what i was use to. The instructor made sure that I was set up on the reformer machine correctly and that I had the proper form with every move we did. Even though I am sooo sore (in a good way) I will be back for sure to try other classes. read more

Jessica is an amazing instructor! I was so impressed with her skillset and relatability. I am new to Pilates, but she made me feel so...normal! It was ok to make mistakes, ok to use a box, ok to not get the full stretch in and go as far as I could. She encouraged me every step of the way and made me feel like I was a Pilates pro! I am definitely going back to one of her classes soon. She's also so casual and funny, so it almost felt like being around an old friend. I loved her energy and highly recommend her class! The studio itself is super cute and in a nice area of town. It was well maintained. I really enjoyed my experience there! read more

Attended weekly classes with Lori and others pre-COVID. Professional; clean, well maintained equipment; loved the instructors; always got a great workout. I really liked the owner, too. Before Remedy, I had tried several other local studios and ended up at a competitor for two years. While my instructor was fabulous, as were the women I attended class with, the owner of that studio clearly didn't care about me as a client. And I was a good client--showed up every time, excited for class, auto-pay, no complaints. After a series of incidents with that owner, I decided it was time to look elsewhere. A friend/former instructor recommended Remedy-Arcadia, and she was absolutely right--this is a great studio. I would definitely recommend Remedy-Arcadia, and am looking forward to returning soon! read more
