Lorilee is an awesome instructor. I work nights and will take a quick nap when I get off on Friday morning to go to her class. She is so knowledgeable about yoga. I also love how she adjust you into poses, makes sure you are doing the poses or flow correct to prevent injury. I don't even mind she doesn't play music. This place is just the best! I started off with their new client special, 30 days for $30. I took full advantage of this great deal by going as many times I could every week. I'm actually glad I did because I definitely see the benefits in doing yoga. I have a lot of shoulder and upper back pain so doing both restorative yoga and ariel yoga + nidra has helped a lot with releasing tension in the body, take deeper breaths, stretch, tone muscles and improve on flexibility. Metta Yoga - Yoga Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I finally made it to Metta Yoga! While I know and love some of the instructors that teach at Metta from other studios (Suzanna, Lara, Max, and Lisa), it took a pre-natal workshop held at Metta this past Saturday to get my ass over there. (Yes, if you read between the lines, you'll learn a little something about me and why my body is growing in ways I've never experienced before). Anyways, back to Metta and the workshop... It was great! Gia and Gila led the workshop together and they had a great synergy between them. The two hours flew by really fast. It was a perfect balance of discussion, yoga asanas, stretches, and even squats (thanks to Gia for those, I'm still sore today!) The studio itself is small but perfect for what it is. They have plenty of yoga mats and props. It's got a retail area in front and upon request, they gave me a cup to fill with water... (I forgot my water bottle that day so I recommend bringing your own). Metta has a variety of classes on the schedule and will soon be offering a regular pre-natal class on Saturdays as well. Despite the fact that it took me awhile to head to Metta, I look forward to returning real soon. Namaste. read more

This is such a supportive, positive, inclusive yoga community. I found them several years ago when I was in need of healing and their Exhale classes were the perfect remedy; part Restoratve Yoga, part Yin Yoga and some Yoga Nidra. These are the classes I attend, and they have them most every day. They also have flow and the 'flying yoga ' with the silks hung from the ceiling...really a trip!! So something for everyone. Teachers are knowledgeable, cheerful and generous. Addition of Hybrid classes ( students at the studio properly social distanced and zoom participants) is a great option in Covid times. I now live too far to attend in person and love being able to attend via the miracle of technology. This is a great place to begin a practice or continue your journey! read more

I have been doing yoga on and off for 20 years. I have had lower and upper back pain for several years. Doctors always want me to do PT but I started doing the restorative yoga at Metta. It's like night and day. I try to go 3-4 times a week and when I do, my pain is gone. I love all the instructors there. Live this place! read more

Thoroughly, completely enjoy Colleen's aqua yoga class at the Phoenician. She makes Yoga fun again! She has a gift of working well with a diverse group of hotel guests and Metta Yoga regulars, offering something new and challenging each session. I also go to Colleen's chair yoga class at the Metta studio in Central Phoenix. Another wonderfully inclusive class that is not for wimps! I am so glad to have found Metta yoga after my decades old yoga studio closed during Covid.
