I've been consistently coming now for 4 months. I normally would just jump around to studios. I had a few people recommend coming here. I loved the vibe from day one! It's so educational, I absolutely love the music, and all the instructors are great in their own way. I have seen and felt a difference not only in my body but in my mind and spirit as well. So grateful for this place. Looking forward to more progress.

I booked a private session for a group of 7 after calling multiple studios in the area. CA Yoga…read moreBarre had great reviews, offered plenty of amenities, and easy parking (free lot in the back), plus the cost of a private session was very reasonable, so I thought, "let's do it!" There was also mats and all equipment provided, which made it easy for a group traveling from all out of town. There are also showers (unheard of for boutique barre studios I learned) and a large locker room. However, no towels, so we ended up not using the showers. Courtney (the owner) was very friendly upon meeting her. She was kind and allowed us to semi decorate the studio for our occasion (simple balloons). We chose the barre option when asked to choose between yoga or barre. She first assessed the average experience of the group and I believe the modified the exercises to fit the needs of the group. There was adequate stretch between each series. Maybe one piece of constructive feedback is for hands-on adjustments (or verbal cues) since not everyone in the group knew what they were doing the entire time, but that's one small point out of what was a very wonderful experience. Everyone had a good time and said the workout was enjoyable. Would recommend CA Yoga Barre, at least for the private session, for those looking for an extra something for their programming!

The heated classes are definitely hot, but manageable. I always leave feeling like I got a good workout. The community is very supportive, and I've had great experiences with all the instructors. I have a very tight back and limited mobility, so there are certain back-strengthening poses such as Cobra, Locust etc I'm simply unable to perform at this point. Toward the end of class, with less than 10 minutes remaining, the class transitioned into a back series. Rather than attempting poses I knew my body couldn't safely do, I quietly moved into Child's Pose and Pigeon Pose to continue stretching and listening to my body, which is something I believed yoga encouraged. Instead of checking in with me privately or asking if I was okay, I was asked to get up and leave the in front of everyone. I was told my poses were inappropriate, that this was not an "flow" series and it was insulting to the rest of the class. It was humiliating and completely contrary to everything I believe yoga represents. Yoga should be a place of acceptance, mindfulness, and meeting your body where it is not a place where you're publicly singled out because you're modifying poses to accommodate your physical limitations. I left the studio almost in tears. Afterward, I spoke with the assistant manager, who was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. She listened to my concerns and assured me she would escalate the situation to the head manager, and I truly appreciated the way she handled our conversation. Unfortunately, the experience itself has left such a negative impression that I will not be returning. I also cannot recommend this studio to anyone who views yoga as a safe and welcoming environment for all levels and abilities. My hope in sharing this review is not to attack anyone personally, but to encourage growth. I sincerely hope Niru Gupta reflects on this experience and approaches situations like this differently in the future. Not every student has the same level of flexibility, strength, or experience, and many people attend yoga specifically to improve those limitations. A brief private conversation or simple check-in would have been far more appropriate than publicly asking a student to leave. Every student deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe in a yoga class, regardless of their physical abilities. Sadly, that was not my experience here.

The studio is cozy yet well-equipped, featuring one spacious classroom, a small child's play area, a hostess stand, lockers, and complimentary mats and free weights. The class was full, but it never felt crowded. Nicole gave me a warm welcome with a handshake and a personal tour of the space, which immediately made me feel at home. She's a phenomenal instructor--clearly passionate about what she does and deeply invested in her clients' progress. What set this class apart was the strength-training component. Using heavier weights, we focused on core engagement while still getting that signature barre stretch. I definitely felt the burn! The intensity was just right, and I can absolutely see how this class delivers real results over time. Highly recommend!

I normally don't enjoy taking morning classes, but I will for Barre3 Old Town Scottsdale! They make it a point to know each member by name and encourage you to meet your goals (for me, it's to get stronger -- slowly -- but I'll get there!) I work up such a good sweat being there. I feel like my body is just detoxing all the bad stuff :) I normally avoid activities where I sweat/smell bad, but I really want to give it my all! :) It's a mix of cardio, pilates/yoga, and strengthening. I love the breath work portion too! Thank you, Barre3 Old Town Scottsdale, for being a safe space to get healthier!

I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!
