I've only taken three strength training classes so far, but they've all been great. The workouts are effective, creative, and genuinely fun. I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one! read more

Took the 5AM Strength Circuit class at BODI today and had an amazing experience! Natelle was our coach, and she absolutely brought it. Her energy was contagious, especially for such an early class, and she kept the entire group fired up from start to finish. As a newcomer as I have not been to the location in over 8 years, I really appreciated how she took the time to guide me through the movements, made sure I felt confident with the form, and most importantly--made me feel so welcome. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in how she connects with everyone in the room. From the front desk to the facilities, this gym is one of my top 3 in AZ. The front desk is always helpful and sweet! Loved every instructor I've had so far, and that not every class is the same. There's nothing better than being with a gym so long you get to experience all the growth that comes with it! Nikki & Nick have really built something special in Scottsdale. I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!! read more

I took advantage of a summer sale that Bodi had back in July and purchased a bunch of drop-in classes... Now that it's November, I've been to a handful of classes (Sweat, Strength, and Yoga) and I have to say, I've really enjoyed them all. The classes can be crowded, but there's plenty of room to get your workout in and the instructors are personable and will work with you if modifications to the proposed exercises are needed. Important note: If you're not sure about something, don't be shy to ask... I do think that in the crowded classes, some folks may not be using the best form, which could lead to injury. I like that Bodi offers classes all day long from 5am to 6:45pm on weekdays, so that if I don't make an early morning class, I can possibly catch one at lunchtime or after work. It appears that the "regulars" go often and participate in challenges and social events together too... I'm not there (yet), but so far, I'm pleased with what I've experienced. If you're looking for a solid workout that will push you no matter your fitness level, Bodi is a great option. read more

I've been coming to BODI for almost 6 months now and have found it's one of the most well rounded studios in the area. BODI offers a huge variety of classes--strength training, yoga, mat Pilates, boxing, Hyrox-style workouts, and more. I also like that the classes can start as early as 5 am and go into the evening depending what fits best that day. BODI has put on a variety of events to mingle and compete against one another and have made solid gym friends from these events! The coaching staff/front desk are very welcoming and helpful. Absolutely love this gym. I wish I lived here, I would join, and I very rarely can be tied down to one gym (I'm a class pass girlie). But this place has so many class varieties all day long. They have a full body/cardio mixed class, they have heavy lifting upper body and lower body classes, and a cardio/sweat class I haven't tried yet. All of the instructors are awesome, the classes move fast qnd have great music. All of the classes have had a lot of people but never totally full so can sign up last minute if necessary. read more

Really cool concept. I regularly go to Pilates and Spin classes but I had never gone to a group strength class. I was a little intimidated at the beginning and it was confusing but once you get the rhythm of it you're able to follow along. The classes are flexible enough to modify for different fitness levels. When I first moved here, I had a lot of friends that went to this gym. I honestly felt so intimidated like it wasn't for me. They eventually drug me here ~2 years ago and in the last year I've went more regularly. Honestly, I can tell a difference so fast when I'm going regularly versus going to a personal trainer. It's not actually intimidating at all. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I've brought friends and when they need breaks, they take them. I honestly appreciate the most, how good the customer service is. They're so accommodating and responsive, which means everything. I prefer strength (although I typically burn more calories in sweat) but recently tried boxing. It's so great for a quick cardio workout and honestly so fun. The class seems to fly by so fast. I honestly appreciate and love this gym so much. The prices are also awesome for what you get, and they offer really good deals throughout the year or offer Groupons to just kind of try it out initially. It's definitely worth the try :) read more

I found BODI on the MINDBODY App as I was looking for local group fitness classes. Since I was in Scottsdale for the weekend only, it was perfect that BODI a free intro class. Check-in was easy. The ladies at reception got me acquainted with the facility and explained to me what I should expect from the workout. I found the place to be clean, and it had ample space for storage. I took the SWEAT class at 7am on a Friday. I do a HIIT style of circuit training back at home, so the class was exactly what I was looking for. There were 8 stations with different cardio-intensive workouts with light strength training at each one. After the 8th round we did a group exercise. This was repeated 3 more times, and just like that the class was done. I loved the awesome playlist that got us pumped through the workout, and Kaleigh was a motivating instructor. The class was as easy or as hard as you make it. I pushed myself pretty hard, so I got a fantastic full-body workout. read more

This is one of my favorites places to workout (next to my garage gym). You get in, get as good of a workout as you want, and get out knowing you did the best you could for that workout. I love the variety in equipment and the circuit style training system they use in their Strength & Sweat classes. The instructors seem knowledgeable and I like that they provide variations to accomodate for different fitness levels. I appreciate working out in a group setting from time to time and there are days when I'd rather enjoy a workout that's halready prepared for me. Most classes do get pretty packed (and so does the parking) so I try to avoid the prime time classes when I can. Also, the music can get too loud and they do play songs with explicit or questionable lyrics so these can be distractions. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that you will get a great workout if you put in the effort! read more
