Most of the individuals that frequent this gym are very serious about their fitness goals. They could be bodybuilders, athletes, retirees or families from the neighborhood. World Gym mixed with a YMCA. Extremely welcoming community, where you will see people working hard to fulfill their fitness goals. Any gym that lets pups in is my kind of place. For my serious lifters out there, the gym has: Dumbbells that go up to 170. 3 power cages, 3 platforms, with two additional squat racks. A Nordic curl, GHR, reverse hyper and PitShark. Two 45 degree leg presses and one vertical. Ex-posing room which is now a lower-body (or "glute-centric") room. Various sleds, tires, sandbags, etc. 40 yards of turf. Rows of cardio machines: several treadmills and stair-mills, with two assault bikes and two rowers also included. Seemingly all that you need to accomplish your fitness goals. Strongly recommended. Military friendly. Above average trainers.

Good atmosphere, but a little expensive to work out at if you are from out of town. Cost $20 a day to work out.

Even at peak hours you won't wait for more than 10 min for a squat rack. Excellent variety in barbells and machines.

I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I've only taken three strength training classes so far, but they've all been great. The workouts…read moreare effective, creative, and genuinely fun. I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!

Above and beyond…read more Going out of my way to write my first yelp review because of how impressed I am and how much recognition this should get! My fiancé is a touring musician who unfortunately started having seizures about 2 years ago. We wanted to try and find a gym/trainer that 1.) had experience with clients with seizures (or at the very least were comfortable working with him) and 2.) would be willing to help develop some routines he can do while on tour I called and the owner 'Sweets' quickly answered the phone. He was extremely friendly and professional right off the bat and introduced himself while giving me the jist of the facility and their programs; he naturally speaks confidently and eloquently, but in a casual way where it seems genuine and not like he's a salesman. When I told him about my fiancé's seizures, without skipping a beat he said, "Oh, that's not a problem! I've had several clients and friends with seizures and epilepsy. When would you like to come check out the facility?" I was so pleasantly surprised with his response. I was worried that gyms/trainers may be hesitant to even work with him, so I was ecstatic that we found someone who wouldn't treat him like a medical case or liability. We went in the next day to check out the facility and talk in person more at length about his background, goals, costs, etc. It's a small, neighborhoodly kind of place that is clean, put together, and has modern equipment. The atmosphere is laidback, open-armed, and non-threatening regardless of who's there. Although they offer personal training, Sweets recommended doing the group classes because they're usually small enough groups that you basically get one-on-one training at a much cheaper price. He also said the first class was free and to try it out, then we could talk about signing up or not. No pressure. Uh... When's the last time you heard of a gym trying to save you money? We also touched back on the seizures, and he asked a bit more info that reassured me he had a background with them, such as, "Does he have auras? Are they full seizures or partial?" etc., while still having the casualness that made my fiancé feel at ease and excited he'd be treated like everyone else and not a medical case. Right before my fiancé was supposed to take his first class, he unfortunately ended up having a partial seizure and was having coordination/concentration problems. I called Sweets to let him know we wouldn't make it in and he said, "No problem! Just come to the next class he feels good to go." He also reached out to his friend/client who has long time had seizures to get information about if they've noticed any diets or workouts that they've noticed have helped or hurt their occurrence of seizures. All of this before he even got a dime from us. Long story short - this is not only a laidback, skillful and knowledgeable gym, they also actually care and want what's best for people. They're not just a good gym, they're good people.
