Recently visited and attended a 90 minute hot yoga session - which if you've never done a heated class before is not recommended! The layout of the class and the instructor were great. The heat of the classroom was the hottest I've experienced, and I've attended a handful of classes around the valley. This studio had the classroom set to 110 degrees, with a closed door and full class so the temperature easily feels closer to 115. If you're new to heated classes, I would work your way up to this class/studio. They do offer great pricing for class packs if you're interested in trialing it out for two weeks. If you're sensitive to heat/scent, I wouldn't recommend a heated class as you DO sweat heavily as well as all other participants. Meaning - you WILL smell other people and their sweat. The studio offers lockers and cubbies to hold your items and also has a well kept bathroom with showers to rinse off after class. read more

Pretty good studio as I have been here before and classes are always solid. The studio is on the 2nd floor in a shopping plaza with an ample parking lot. I took a class here last night in studio B and it was a heated flow class. Pretty challenging but hey that's what we need in life to be even better than we were yesterday. Only complaint about this studio is that there is only one bathroom for women for a studio this size. There is definitely a line for the bathroom in the women's locker before classes. Locker room is a decent size but also could use one more bench in the middle so people have a place to put their stuff when grabbing items out of the lockers. I like the Foundry and think their studios are pretty solid, you'll definitely seeing me coming back again! read more

All the instructors are so nice and lead great classes. I use class pass to switch up my routine and visit different studios but this one is in my main rotation. In all my years of practicing hot yoga, I've never had such a terrible experience. If you're looking to pay money and get bullied for 90 minutes, make sure to book Cintra Brown's classes. Despite specifically pointing out that I had a weak foot due to a serious injury and months of relearning how to balance, I felt singled out by receiving all the negative attention. There was another girl with an injury that was visible who received remarks who made her seemingly uncomfortable. I was repeatedly used as an example of improper posture, and the remark "Are you done with my comments yet?" definitely felt targeted. After I fell out of the posture multiple times due to the negative criticism (which should not be mistaken for feedback or reinforcement), I went for yet another water refill. In classes with normal instructors like Jenessa who aren't bullies, I can stay in the class for the whole duration and usually only need a single water refill, if any. However, after constant criticism the instructor spent two minutes of the class criticizing my water breaks in front of everyone. I once went to a barber with decades of experience who gave me a fucked up haircut. Moral of the story you can have three decades of yoga experience like Cintra Brown and still instill negative feelings during class instead of making paying customers feel better after a long day. After being loyal to the foundry since 2021, Cintra Brown single handedly convinced me to find a studio that doesn't make you feel like shit. read more

Absolutely love the Foundry! I used to practice yoga regularly but shifted to my peleton and more high intensity workouts at home during covid and just fell out of my yoga routine over the last couple of years. Since moving to Scottsdale and joining the Foundry I've fallen right back into the swing of things. After just a few months I have nearly restored all my flexibility and strength. I've got my inversions back and beyond the physical I have my peace back. My favorite part of every day is when I hit my mat! I love LITERALLY every single class The Foundry offers. So many options to feed what my body needs that day. My favorites are 60minute Flow, 45minute HIIT, Pilates and Barre. The new Arcadia studio is SPECTACULAR!! So clean, so bright and a variation of class times/options. They are offering a free week until the end of Sept. 2022 so take advantage while you can. Be sure to bring your own mat, yoga towel, water bottle and hand towel if you like to have one for your face during class. This was my first time at the this studio and I did the hot HITT class with two of my friends who had also never been there. The studio was very clean and the staff was super welcoming. Definitely a great place to meet friends and build community. If you are not used to working out in a heated class, the Hot HIIT class might traumatize you. I do hot power vinyasa 2 times per week and I still got headache from how hot it was in there. Overall, it was a friendly and clean studio with good workout props. read more

I found this place through a friend, wanted to give a try so I did. I liked some of the teachers but not everyone loves their job. The best ones are the men, very few are the women, who are kind to even notice you when you are new but the others like Kimi aren't much enthusiastic about teaching yoga. She is doing her poses on her own without noticing anyone and likes to chat only with people she knows. Others are okay but not so great. The cons of the place, overpriced over 150 is ridiculous where I can go to the lux gym such as Lifetime and pay only 75 dollars which also includes hot yoga. Had one class yesterday as recommended by a friend and thoroughly enjoYed my first hot yoga class ever. I believe I had David as my instructor. He is a most gracious, encouraging instructor. The only downside here is that I live in Laveen area and need them to open a studio near me. Being the former owner of a Bikram yoga studio, I feel I can write this review from an arena of expertise and after having practiced Hot Yoga for the last 35 years. Nicole and Todd Deacon have taken the Hot Yoga 26 and two and flow series of yoga to the next level. Nicole, a very sweet and kind woman has been practicing yoga since she was about 13 years of age. She has opened yoga studios throughout Arizona and California and it's quite successful bringing a positive yoga experience to her communities. The studios are all kept in perfect condition and are sanitized regularly with ample locker rooms and showers and a retail area that sometimes you don't even find in 5 Star spas. Her staff are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, sweet, kind, and patient even to the most trying of their students. Yoga offers a variety of classes for the beginners to the very experienced yogi and Yoginis., the website is easy to use even for us dinosaurs and the pricing is competitive. Overall, I give them a five star experience and highly recommend the foundry yoga. Special shout out to Don Grosenick and Sentra two of her top teachers here in the valley, if you have a chance to attend one of their classes, you'll walk away, knowing that you've experienced some of the very best teachings the yoga community has to offer. read more

I was visiting the area for a few days and looking for a yoga studio. When i saw such great reviews about this place, I was very excited to check out the Foundry, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectation:( Here are my thoughts: Pros: - friendly staff & strong teacher, her point to point was excellent, very easy to understand - studio is spacious and people respect space for each other - temperature was perfect, not too hot not too cold Cons: - Hot yoga 60 minutes: we did not have any flows or vinyasa. just practiced same poses x2 times and to me, that was not yoga but more like you just do your stretching poses. not even yin because the teacher didnt let us stay too long. - sequence: this was my first time doing savasana between poses. i LOVE savasana and i think its perfectly fine doing between poses but if i am being asked to stay in savasana, i need more time than just 5-6 breaths - NO cold lavender towel: this was the first studio ever that i did not have cold lavender towel after my hot yoga class. thats the best part of hot yoga lol - Real savasana: i also thought its really weird that teacher call the savasana at the end of the class and just leave the room & tell people you can stay or be quiet for 2 minutes. That was a huge turn off for me bc people started to leave the room and of course i could not focus so i left too. Savasana is deep rest and I want that quiet/calm moment that I dont usually get during my day. everybody here was super friendly and nice and it seemed like they've got a great community going here. However, this wasn't the best class i've ever taken and for what I paid as a drop-in/single class, I expected a lot more than what I experienced last night. read more

I loved the instructors, I'm ok with the pricing although higher than some other places. I just have to give the feedback that I don't understand the benefit of having carpeting. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and have done Bikram at lots of other places. Having a state of the art ventilation added would be helpful. It's just stinky and musty here. This is a great studio. Instructors are knowledgeable and everyone is friendly. Challenges and promotions with members really builds a neat community of folks sweating it out next to each other. There are memberships that allow you to practice at all locations. Definitely check one of them out. Hot Pilates, Hot Barre, and Hot HIIT classes are also on the schedule. Three locations: PV, Tempe, and Old Town Scottsdale. The Old Town location can be hard to find as it is tucked back into a breezeway in the NE corner of the plaza. The Foundry has literally been life changing. I have developed a new sense of purpose and ease in my life. Between developing discipline through yoga, HIIT and amazing delivery from instructors, my body and my mind feel totally different from just over a year ago when I started on the journey. This place is so fun! Everyone is so kind, strong, and body positive. I have only been to their hot pilates class, and hot hits, but they are definitely my favorite! I havent made the leap to a full membership yet, just drop ins. They have daily drop in offers in their website. A full membership, for your first month is only $30. After that, its $109/month, and you're automatically enrolled in that option after the first $30 month is up. They have fun merchandise up front to purchase as well. The classes are a good size. I have only been to the Old town location, but they have a studio in Tempe, and PV. The instructors are fun and friendly. At first the carpeted studio threw me off, but they obviously clean it thoroughly every day. If you are a member you have locker/room access as well. Parking can get limited on busy nights so I'd come a little bit earlier :) their daily schedules are posted on their website! read more

I am a really big fan of this Bikram studio. I have to say they do a really good job of making everyone feel invited and comfortable. I actually found the studio to be spacious but they may be because I have not been there when it is incredibly packed. I also had never been there prior to the remodel. Teachers all learn your name when you walk in and they use it in class. I LOVE this touch, makes me feel welcomed and I appreciate my name being used to assist me in correcting form and showing me modifications. I really feel as the teacher is very engaged with the students taking the time to walk around, correct, give kudos and be there if needed. Savasana is never rushed at the end. They have staggered the classes to allow enough time. I will say that I have never considered really practicing yoga until I came here. Locker rooms are small but they work with the space and I feel comfortable leaving my items in the locker room, if they have run out of lockers. There is only one shower, however not many people use it post workout and those that do are quick quick, so you may wait 5 mins tops. Overall, I am a fan and will continue to be a patron of this studio read more

I've finally found my yoga studio!!! Went to the 4:30pm class taught by Mark, which I highly recommend!!! The entire staff was friendly and approachable and we're welcoming to both new and seasoned students. Mark was knowledgeable, offered the right amount of coaching to make the practice challenging yet supportive for students of ALL abilities! The entire facility is clean. Lockers have locks available (but bring your own for busy classes just in case). After class I found out that other students were incredibly nice and friendly. New students also get a discount on great mats, bottles, clothes, etc for the first week. I almost don't want to write a review to keep this studio's class size down. Love it!!! read more

This may be a small place but the people here make a BIG impact! I can't even begin to say how amazing the teachers are ( Steve, LT, Joanne)! They all have different yet similar styles. Also as a new student they are helpful but still won't cut you slack! They will know your name and will watch you to make sure you're ok and getting the max benefit. I came here with a friend who would not stop pestering me to "just give it a try!" I finally went and seriously the hardest part is just getting there! The poses take time to perfect but every time is different but still amazing!! And the location also one of the best parts!!! So close to me!!!!! read more

I came here for one class and will never be back to this studio. The carpet is so gross. You can see the sweat stains all over and it is so smelly. If it was closer to my house, I wouldn't have stayed. The smell got worse as the class went on. I've never been to a yoga studio with carpet. It doesn't seem hygienic. read more
