The heat of the classroom was the hottest I've experienced, and I've attended a handful of classes around the valley. This studio had the classroom set to 110 degrees, with a closed door and full class so the temperature easily feels closer to 115. If you're new to heated classes, I would work your way up to this class/studio. They do offer great pricing for class packs if you're interested in trialing it out for two weeks. If you're sensitive to heat/scent, I wouldn't recommend a heated class as you DO sweat heavily as well as all other participants. Meaning - you WILL smell other people and their sweat. The studio offers lockers and cubbies to hold your items and also has a well kept bathroom with showers to rinse off after class.

I took a class here last night in studio B and it was a heated flow class. Pretty challenging but hey that's what we need in life to be even better than we were yesterday. Only complaint about this studio is that there is only one bathroom for women for a studio this size. There is definitely a line for the bathroom in the women's locker before classes. Locker room is a decent size but also could use one more bench in the middle so people have a place to put their stuff when grabbing items out of the lockers. I like the Foundry and think their studios are pretty solid, you'll definitely seeing me coming back again!

We were instructed by Carly and she was very welcoming and enthusiastic to have new attendees. She seems very passionate about this. For the workout itself, it was extremely invigorating and while difficult, it was nice to be pushing my body in a way that I never have before. I admire those who attend regularly. During the session, Carly was complimentary to each of the attendees, which was motivating. Highly recommend, but know you're in for something physically demanding! There was also mats and all equipment provided, which made it easy for a group traveling from all out of town. There are also showers (unheard of for boutique barre studios I learned) and a large locker room. However, no towels, so we ended up not using the showers. Courtney (the owner) was very friendly upon meeting her. She was kind and allowed us to semi decorate the studio for our occasion (simple balloons). We chose the barre option when asked to choose between yoga or barre. She first assessed the average experience of the group and I believe the modified the exercises to fit the needs of the group. There was adequate stretch between each series. Maybe one piece of constructive feedback is for hands-on adjustments (or verbal cues) since not everyone in the group knew what they were doing the entire time, but that's one small point out of what was a very wonderful experience. Everyone had a good time and said the workout was enjoyable. Would recommend CA Yoga Barre, at least for the private session, for those looking for an extra something for their programming!

There is a small parking lot behind the studio and lots of in street and culdesac parking as well. It's quite there and thus greatly adds to my experience. So many studios are in busy chaotic areas and that can affect the yoga experience for me. CA Yoga's parking situation is calm and that quietness greatly enhances my overall yoga experience. The plate in my left wrist and the broken bones in my right hand made it impossible to put my body weight on my wrists. I broke my hip 2+ years ago and I have never fully recovered. I'm totally out of balance and lack strength on the right side. PT was a nightmare for me too. I went to 2 different PT places and both hurt me and I ended up back in a wheelchair. I am trying different exercise modalities to find something I can do. This isn't it. I realize I'm not the norm most people will be able to do Pure Barre. I need a much more gentle program that doesn't hurt. The music volume should be turned done. It takes away from what the instructor is saying. The instructors voice should be dominant not the music!

She's a phenomenal instructor--clearly passionate about what she does and deeply invested in her clients' progress. What set this class apart was the strength-training component. Using heavier weights, we focused on core engagement while still getting that signature barre stretch. I definitely felt the burn!
