Tried The Foundry Yoga Studio for the first time while traveling and this is absolutely my kind of place. Huge shoutout to Sal at the front desk -- genuinely welcoming, helpful, and the kind of energy that instantly elevates the experience. Customer service like that really sticks with you and honestly makes me want to come back. I took the hot HIIT class with Sidney and it delivered. Ambient lighting to start, then lights dimmed, music up, and suddenly it was go time. Great playlist, clear mic cues, and a seriously effective workout -- weights, core, warm-up, cool-down, the whole deal. Packed class but Sidney stayed very attentive, offering modifications, keeping everyone engaged, and bringing strong, motivating energy throughout. Only small note: shavasana felt a bit quick, but overall fantastic class. The studio itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- two large studio rooms, appreciate the mirrors to watch form, plenty of lockers and cubbies, multiple showers/restrooms, vanity areas, rental mats/towels (huge when traveling), tons of heated class options like yoga, yin, Pilates, barre, and HIIT, plus a separate red light therapy room that felt amazing afterward. I've actually never seen a studio that had mat drying racks out for everyone , nice touch . Friendly members, great retail selection (yes, I shopped), and booking through ClassPass made everything easy. Definitely a studio I'd return to. read more

I found a new home in March! The foundry is amazing. From the moment I walked in I loved it. Lizzie the manager is phenomenal, a burst of enthusiasm and energy. She makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. All the instructors are the best. I know at most gyms and yoga studios you have a favorite but at this place it is tough to narrow it down. The place is so clean and very organized. All the clients are definitely acknowledged for all their achievements. The selection of classes are really good. You can vary your workout according to your goals. I travel pretty far to go there but it is worth the drive. read more

Been coming here for a while now on the membership and it's been life changing. I have PCOS so my doctor recommended I do low intensity work outs to manage my hormone / cortisol levels instead of lifting weights which I loved to do. Since I made the change I have never looked better AND most importantly FELT better. The staff have been nothing but welcoming and friendly. Especially Rachel, she really makes the effort to make you feel remembered. Although I took hot Pilates / yoga because it was "low intensity" trust me, it's still so very challenging. I learn so much every class about how strong our cores can train to be. It's absolutely a full body work out that will lead you drenched. So worth it in the end. read more

I have been coming to classes here for decades. My consistency grew with this practice after the Foundry took over management. It has a real family vibe which allows for an accountability that lacks in other studios. I enjoy all the class varieties and have grown out of my comfort level of just the 26/2. Let's start with a background Story! This location was called Onefire a few years back. The changes the Foundry are making are incredible! They are even tearing out the carpet!!!!! I am so excited to get my free trial week after the renovations are completed on the 25th of September! A little overview of classes and teachers Lori is my favorite instructor her music class is incredible. I love having a mellow tune to sing along to not to mention the 60 min basic if perfect when you don't have 75 minutes to workout. Micky has a great music and 90 min class Lisa teaches a pretty kicking HIIT workout. There is nothing better than weights and heat to sweat out the water weight and build a lean muscular physique Paige at the front desk is an amazing woman. The Foundry location in Avondale should get a 5 star rating.. It is always very clean to exercise, no matter what time you take a class..Locker rooms & showers are the same. There is a wide variety of classes, at almost any time of the day or night, great teachers for all..We are always greeted when we arrive, like we are part of a family..We have challenge activities between members to push us a bit more..I would recommend it to everyone interested in taking better care of yourself.. Everyone that works there is so friendly and the facility is always spotless, which is really impressive considering the amount of foot traffic they get on a daily basis. The owners always seem to be making improvements which is great to see! You will not be disappointed when visiting the Foundry! Try the Pilates and Barre classes- they are killer!! This is a wonderful place. I have gone twice (so far) in two weeks and will continue attending because it's great. My first class was a 90-minute hot yoga session dubbed "26x2" with Rachel, and my second class was the same, but with David. Both instructors were awesome and their classes were challenging in different ways. I will continue my membership with more reviews. However, I'm already sure (even now) I will enjoy the experience and learn as much as I can. read more

The instructors are the most sweetest and genuine ladies I have met. They were so encouraging and just loved tbe positive vibes. They made the classes worth it. I did the 4 for $40 and really enjoyed the Cycling the most. However, I am rating it a 3 because the last class I took was my last and final 4th class, I needed to rent cycling shoes. Online and everywhere else it mentioned that it was $3 shoe rental for cycling classes and that was that... nowhere did it say they needed to forcefully charge $10 to add credit to the account. Well, I mentioned to the lady at the counter that I rented shoes for $3 last session (session 2 that i did) and she said they aren't allowed to do that and that she NEEDED to do the $10 charge to my card to add those funds to my account... so now I have this extra money in my Foundry account that I will probably never use... when I literally only needed to rent the $3 shoes one veryyy last time. Never had I ever had an instructor feel so horrible. I've gone a few times with my co-works and I've had a membership since they opened. I hadn't really used it much. Finally went and I had to walk out in the middle of class. About me, I'm a quiet, keep to myself, push myself type of person. So for me to actually walk out of a class is big. I didn't really care for this studio . I was in search of a new yoga studio location since I moved and I bought the 4 classes for $40 deal to just try it out . Some of them were very nice I just don't like being put on the spot in class nor the instruction . I've been practicing vinyasa for almost a year now and just there way of teaching is different . Also, it was an instructor who did yin yoga who wasnt very nice when I first came in . I've never had another grown person tell me before I was about to put my phone up before class to put my phone away . And she was very nasty about it. And also I noticed with the people who go often they got more attention in the classes vs the people who were new . Just need a few tweaks here . read more

upon arriving i felt welcomed and was given a tour. it was a good vibe and i can tell a lot of people love it here. however my experience wasn't that. I took a class and as someone who is a yoga teacher myself, i tried not to judge but just found a lot of things unnerving. There was no inviting, just a lot of commands. I get the vibe that this studio was kind of built off of bikram yoga practices based on their website, so that makes sense, but its just not my favorite. There were little to none modifications offered. The majority of the class was hand stands, crow, and different inverted postures, which is great, but upon arriving I specifically asked the teacher if blocks were needed for the class and I was told "No." So with no blocks, and no offered modifications, I think any newcomer that would set foot in a class like this with so many inversions would be deeply discouraged and not want to return. I am a yoga teacher but even in my practice I am unable to do many inversions, so this was highly disappointing to me. We spent a lot of time stagnant, not moving, while teacher was describing next flow. Again - just a preference for me but I didn't love spending probably a solid 10 minutes total of the 1 hour class just sitting and watching. There was a lot of song skipping. Not helpful for a "vinyasa flow" class. We went directly from peak posture into box breathing at the end. That's not great for anyones lungs, and as it was also a hot yoga class, that could make people faint or get sick if they don't know what they're doing properly and it wasn't taught, it was just instructed to do. The cool down was about 5 minutes at the end, and it was mostly legs, which for an inversion class that was all core and arms, I found frustrating, and I had to spend time outside of the class afterwards cooling down and stretching out my upper body. Savasana was literally 5 seconds at the end of the class, teacher walked out as soon as it started and people immediately got up to leave. That's also fine - just not my preference. Just sharing my experience. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1 simply because I know there are many teachers employed at the foundry and I'm basing my rating off of one singular class. As a yoga lover, I didn't want to return, and although I purchased the 1 week new student pack, I only went once due to my disappointment. I also was coughing for a solid 3 days afterwards, probably due to the unhelpful breathing exercises in the midst of peak postures and inversions. Anyways, a lot of people clearly love it here, hence the high rating. Just wanted to share an honest opinion. I wish them all the best in their business and know they will continue to flourish as there were many people who I could see were enjoying and thriving throughout class! read more

Taking classes at The Foundry Avondale is something I look forward to every day. The staff here is so kind and the instructors are great! The studio offers a variety of classes like cycling, hot hiit, hot pilates and multiple different styles of yoga classes. Most of the workouts are 45-minutes long which makes them super easy to fit into your day and with their unlimited membership you can take classes at any of their studios - which is great for those of us who work in the east valley.
