One of the most challenging and fun opportunities Master's Path has brought me is Wudang Tai Chi Sword.

Huge shoutout to Sal at the front desk -- genuinely welcoming, helpful, and the kind of energy that instantly elevates the experience. Customer service like that really sticks with you and honestly makes me want to come back. I took the hot HIIT class with Sidney and it delivered. Ambient lighting to start, then lights dimmed, music up, and suddenly it was go time. Great playlist, clear mic cues, and a seriously effective workout -- weights, core, warm-up, cool-down, the whole deal. Packed class but Sidney stayed very attentive, offering modifications, keeping everyone engaged, and bringing strong, motivating energy throughout. Only small note: shavasana felt a bit quick, but overall fantastic class. The studio itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- two large studio rooms, appreciate the mirrors to watch form, plenty of lockers and cubbies, multiple showers/restrooms, vanity areas, rental mats/towels (huge when traveling), tons of heated class options like yoga, yin, Pilates, barre, and HIIT, plus a separate red light therapy room that felt amazing afterward. I've actually never seen a studio that had mat drying racks out for everyone , nice touch . Friendly members, great retail selection (yes, I shopped), and booking through ClassPass made everything easy. Definitely a studio I'd return to.

I don't leave one-star reviews lightly--especially for a brand I genuinely enjoy--but this…read moreexperience felt surprisingly off-brand for Pure Barre. I booked a class directly through the website, which clearly guided me toward a "first class free" option. As someone who travels frequently and drops into studios across the country (often through ClassPass or direct booking), this is a pretty standard and welcoming entry point--so I went ahead and reserved a class. Shortly after, I received multiple texts that felt less like a confirmation and more like a sales qualification funnel--asking me to choose between options like committing to a membership, trying a short-term package, or just visiting. Once I indicated I was visiting, the tone shifted. I was then told the complimentary class is only for locals willing to sit through a membership presentation, and was redirected toward paid options instead. That's where the experience lost me. If the "free first class" is conditional, it should be clearly stated before booking--not after a reservation is made and followed by a string of sales-driven messages. As it stands, it comes across as a bait-and-switch. Even more disappointing was the lack of flexibility or hospitality for a very common customer type in boutique fitness: travelers. There was no attempt to accommodate, no "we'd still love to have you in," just a pivot to pricing. I want to be clear--this isn't a reflection of the Pure Barre brand as a whole. I've had consistently great experiences at other locations. But this particular interaction felt transactional, impersonal, and misaligned with the welcoming, community-driven environment the brand typically represents. I ended up canceling my class and booking elsewhere with zero issues . Here are the texts from Gabriella @ Pure Barre Goodyear.

The classes are amazing, the teachers are phenomenal and the staff are beyond warm and welcoming! Absolutely recommend to anyone looking to focus on their overall wealth of life. Not only do we work hard but the teachers educate us about our bodies and movement each step. Love it here!

My very favorite gym!…read more All of you are amazing so supportive friendly beautiful I been on and off with you since 2019 and the only two reasons I ever left was : when I go through my moments and don't work out at all or when I am far from your facility. I went to EOS for 1 week and their personal coach instead of acknowledge the fact that all I wanted to do was to leave the house after several months of isolation and excessive eating disorder her goal was to make me feel terrible her name (Britney in Goodyear) instead not satisfied told me that I have failed in the past and would fail again if I didn't sign for their personal coaching program. I had to verbally state that she was giving me anxiety when she continue to bully me asking if money was a problem. 2 months later I gave a change again this time when to mountainside fitness in Avondale and Alyssa their personal training welcomed me in measure my weight taught me new moves and told me I'll be here and will keep an eye on your and hold you accountable despite of you not signing in for trainer. Why I am sharing this? To thank mountainside for their greatness. Not every person is seeking for six pack. Some are there to battle depression, compulsive behaviors and others so thank you for being so amazing. I love your gym no matter what side of town I go

I wasn't told to arrive early and walked out after the receptionist didn't want to help me despite my reservation- she would not allow me to go to the class.. What a waste of time. They cafe more about selling me on a membership than they do my actual experience.
