Grounds are lovely
Nicole R.

I love this location. Staff is very welcoming. I was a member years ago in Minnesota and when I moved here to Arizona I joined a club up the street but just wasn't going. The beauty of Lifetime is, even though it's so big you feel like you're not being bugged. There are so many machines, so many places to lift weights where you can feel you fit in. I love the variety and the amount of classes that are available. This place just makes sense for me. The gals in the cafe always say my name which makes me feel cozy ... I dig that they use a colored label to indicate, Keto, GF or Vegan... so helpful! Today, I'm jumping into the spa for a massage.

No toilet seat covers

For the money we pay, Lifetime should provide clean, sanitary and safe women's bathroom with toilets seat covers just like Tempe and Scottsdale locations. Just sad that LifeTime doesn't believe West Phoenix deserves the same level of services as other locations. Please address these concerns.

We pay too much to walk upstairs to a mountain of dirty towels and zero clean towels.

Very clean, very professional I've been to quite a few different gyms and nothing compares to this place. This place has everything.

That immediate welcome honestly sets the tone for the whole experience. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and very no-nonsense -- two workout rooms, plenty of equipment, multiple bathrooms, two showers, and a water station. I loved the big open training floor, tons of natural light, and the screens showing workouts so you're never guessing what's next. Loud music, proper warm-up and cool-down, easily modifiable exercises, and definitely a legit sweat session. Booking through ClassPass was seamless too, which makes it super traveler-friendly. Only tiny wish? More swag. I was ready to grab a tee but only saw hats and water bottles. Not a dealbreaker though -- this gym gets straight to business and delivers a strong workout without the fluff. If you just want to show up, work hard, and feel it after... this place absolutely does the job. Note ; they have options for both runners & walkers

I booked a class directly through the website, which clearly guided me toward a "first class free" option. As someone who travels frequently and drops into studios across the country (often through ClassPass or direct booking), this is a pretty standard and welcoming entry point--so I went ahead and reserved a class. Shortly after, I received multiple texts that felt less like a confirmation and more like a sales qualification funnel--asking me to choose between options like committing to a membership, trying a short-term package, or just visiting. Once I indicated I was visiting, the tone shifted. I was then told the complimentary class is only for locals willing to sit through a membership presentation, and was redirected toward paid options instead. That's where the experience lost me. If the "free first class" is conditional, it should be clearly stated before booking--not after a reservation is made and followed by a string of sales-driven messages. As it stands, it comes across as a bait-and-switch. Even more disappointing was the lack of flexibility or hospitality for a very common customer type in boutique fitness: travelers. There was no attempt to accommodate, no "we'd still love to have you in," just a pivot to pricing. I want to be clear--this isn't a reflection of the Pure Barre brand as a whole. I've had consistently great experiences at other locations. But this particular interaction felt transactional, impersonal, and misaligned with the welcoming, community-driven environment the brand typically represents. I ended up canceling my class and booking elsewhere with zero issues . Here are the texts from Gabriella @ Pure Barre Goodyear.

It's definitely on the more affordable gym side, but they've packed in a lot of amenities you don't always see at this price point. It was busy when I visited, but overall it stayed pretty clean and well maintained, which I always appreciate in a high-traffic gym. What stood out most was the variety: warm yoga classes (around mid-80s temp -- not hot yoga but comfortable), a dedicated Group X studio, cycle room, turf training area, plenty of machines and free weights, plus trainers available if that's your thing. They also have childcare, which is a huge plus for parents. Recovery-wise, they go beyond basics -- sauna in the locker rooms, showers, changing areas, zero-gravity massage chairs, compression equipment (though a couple seemed to have issues), massage guns, and even a cinema-style cardio setup. Bonus points for shakes, retail swag, and just having multiple spaces so the gym never feels one-note. Overall it gave me upgraded Planet Fitness / Chuze vibes: accessible, amenity-rich, friendly staff, and solid value without boutique pricing. Not luxury fitness, but honestly a great option if you want variety and affordability in one place. Plus, they've got lots of locations, which makes consistency easy if you travel or bounce around town.

Where I'm from, I have learned that dumbbell users are inconsiderate and sometimes downright rude. Most of my workouts having to do with chest and arms are spent at the rack. Maybe it's my OCD but it really bothers me when the weights are not where they are supposed to be. I end up racking everyone's weights because they were just too important to put them back where they got them. In California, no gym has great rack etiquette. There's always that dude that leaves his weights lying around or puts their dumbbells in the nearest open slots. Here at EoS, their dumbbells go all the way to 150! That is awesome!!! The highest 24 Hour Fitness has is 125 and that a rarity. 95% only go to 120. Also, they have more than two sets of several of the weights. Anyway, here at EoS, on the two days I came here, every weight is where it should be. I watched the people and without fail, they always returned them to the correct spot. I applaud you, Avondale members. I wish every gym had members like you.

Huge shoutout to Sal at the front desk -- genuinely welcoming, helpful, and the kind of energy that instantly elevates the experience. Customer service like that really sticks with you and honestly makes me want to come back. I took the hot HIIT class with Sidney and it delivered. Ambient lighting to start, then lights dimmed, music up, and suddenly it was go time. Great playlist, clear mic cues, and a seriously effective workout -- weights, core, warm-up, cool-down, the whole deal. Packed class but Sidney stayed very attentive, offering modifications, keeping everyone engaged, and bringing strong, motivating energy throughout. Only small note: shavasana felt a bit quick, but overall fantastic class. The studio itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- two large studio rooms, appreciate the mirrors to watch form, plenty of lockers and cubbies, multiple showers/restrooms, vanity areas, rental mats/towels (huge when traveling), tons of heated class options like yoga, yin, Pilates, barre, and HIIT, plus a separate red light therapy room that felt amazing afterward. I've actually never seen a studio that had mat drying racks out for everyone , nice touch . Friendly members, great retail selection (yes, I shopped), and booking through ClassPass made everything easy. Definitely a studio I'd return to.
