This is a Thai restaurant that will prepare chine fried rice for you, yet the four stars are because you need to request additional shrimp. Eat in if you can for the experience before trying take out which they offer. Just so you know how the food taste, what is available to order and how it is prepared. The shrimp fried rice as mentioned previously is good, expect chucks of fresh tomato, there is a vegetable dish Thai dish, order it with chicken and a side of brown rice. Listen, I'm usually a very picky eater so when it comes to Thai food it's either a hit or miss. I first ate here back in 2019 and I have to say I come back at least once every other month. Just moved into town and we are big fans of Thai food and previously living on the west coast, we had the opportunity to have really good Thai food. This place was a great surprise. Drinks were well made and the food had great flavor. We tried three dishes so we could get a taste of a soup, noodle and rice dish. My husband got the chicken kra prow extra extra spicy and they delivered. Drunken Noodles were delicious and the Tom Yum noodle soup came in a flavorful broth. Prices very reasonable, portions were just right. We left happy and over stuffed because we couldn't quit eating. We will definitely return! Six months later and it still gets a five star! Picked up dinner for 4 last night. This is a regular Thai restaurant for us and we have never been disappointed. However, we had one order of Crispy Basil Duck that was NOT good. Two of the pieces were simply bare duck bones that were breaded and fried. No meat. The rest was overcooked and extremely tough. We also ordered veg fried rice that had lots of veggies, however it was bland, salt-free, and had no flavor. The rest of the meals were just ok. Perhaps a new chef? First timer at Yindii Thai. Ordered Som Tum, Thai Grilled Chicken, and Drunken Noodle Squash Medley for takeout. I was told it would be 20-25 mins and it was ready when I arrived. The Drunken Noodles were tasty and it was refreshing to have squash instead of noodles. I couldn't tell the difference just by looking at it. It was hard to separate the noodles but it had good flavor. I liked the 1 inch cubes of tofu and there was a little bit of heat to it too. The Som Tum had quite a bit more heat but was still delicious with its salty sweet sauce. A little side of it came with the Thai Grilled Chicken too. The chicken was sweet and savory and a nice contrast to the spicier dishes that were ordered. The ambiance was bright and clean. There was a well stocked bar and the staff seemed friendly. My husband and I had an incredible dinner at Yindee. Everything from service to quality of food to cleanliness of the space exceeded our expectations. For starters my favorite dish was the curry puffs and dumplings. For our main course, we got the green curry and pad see ew- both quite delicious. We ended our dinner w a perfect portion of fried cheesecake. It's hard to find great restaurants in Springfield that check all the boxes- this spot nailed it. Went here tonight to celebrate my aunt's birthday! There was 5 of us and we ordered 5 dishes and 2 appetizers as well as three deserts and shared them all! Overall, the service was outstanding and the food was good! Here is my rundown on the dishes: Crispy Spring Rolls--average, nothing special Thai dumplings--these were better than average! Drunken Noodles--have had better at a lot of Thai restaurants Pad Thai with Shrimp--did not like it here! Have had it better at s lot of other places Panang curry with chicken--one of my favorites here this evening! Good flavor and spice! Sizzling/special beef--good needed a little bit more flavor Ka prow with chicken-- very very good! Lots of nice Flavor with onion and basil Desserts: Mango sticky rice--yummy, my 2nd favorite dessert! Deep fried cheesecake--my favorite!!! This was like four little dumplings filled with cheesecake! For $9 chicken satay I was given the 4 tiniest pieces of chicken skewers and $15 pad thai with barely any vegetables, just a few sprinkled on top with flavorless, dry noodles, no peanuts. I should have given them 5 star as I dine with them a few times but I just don't understand how they give so little serving of rice. It is almost half of what you usually get from other thai or asian restaurant. As an asian, rice is our staple and it is so cheap. One regular serving of rice is enough for me but If i go to yindee I need to order an extra bowl of rice to finish my entree. read more

Got a pad thai with chicken, a tom kha soup medium spice level, a side of sticky rice, and their dumplings. None of it was very good. On top of that the dumplings which are supposedly "chicken, water chestnuts, and shiitake mushrooms" tasted super fishy. Very disappointing because I hate fish and I wouldn't have ordered them if I knew there was fish product in them but also dangerous for someone who has an allergy to that. In addition, the medium level spice for the soup was extreme levels of spice (coming from someone who very much enjoys spice) and even had multiple large chunks of very hot peppers. The sticky rice was a tiiiiiny portion and, again, just not great. The pad thai was also not great. No big problems but just not very good. Overall very disappointed. read more

This is a close by Thai restaurant that satisfies the Thai food cravings when we have them. My wife and I usually get the chicken pad thai and the beef pad see ew. The pad Thai has the normal flavors you would expect from pad Thai and the same can be said for the pad see ew. I would say both dishes are pretty standard and like I said gets the cravings satisfied. The only thing I would say is that sometimes the pad Thai and pad see ew can be hit or miss when it comes to those flavors you would be expecting from those two dishes, but those are few and far between. read more

Came in for a girls dinner to catch up with a few friends. The place was nice and the staff was friendly upon entry. When we were seated our waitress came over with water and offered a "fun" menu (one with pictures on it) for us to look over. After a few minutes we all placed our orders. I had the crispy rolls and the tofu drunken noodles. It didn't take long for appetizers to come out to our table. The presentation was cute for the garden rolls and my crispy rolls were hot and fresh. During our wait for the main course our waitress checked in and filled our water. When the main meals came out we were all excited. Everyone's meal was hot and smelled awesome. The first bite of my meal was wonderful, the tofu wasn't over cooked and was the perfect amount of spice. The noodles weren't over cooked and the veggies inside were great. I ate here on a Saturday during lunchtime for my birthday. I went with my mom and my aunts and the place was pretty empty. I'm glad it wasn't crowded, but uh...we were the only ones there. I suppose it wasn't quite noon yet, so perhaps we came in during a quiet time. Plus, it opened at 11 a.m., I believe. My mom ordered pad see ew, and my aunts both ordered pad woon sen, if I remember correctly. I ordered the Yindee Thai fried rice. We all enjoyed our meals, but I probably liked mine the most. I only asked for "mild" spice and it was almost perfect! Could have been a bit spicier, but I wanted to be on the safe side haha. My mom and aunts enjoyed the taste of their dishes even though they said it was a little too salty. The service was good, nothing to complain about. The food was also good, albeit a little on the salty side depending on what you order. The atmosphere was a bit awkward because of the lack of customers but the place was clean. Yindee Thai also honors "Thai hot" requests and isn't afraid to pack on the heat. Atmosphere- The restaurant is nice, but I honestly always order carryout. Other dishes- We've tried a few. Liked some more than others, but realized that we prefer Pad Prig Khing. At times, Burke and West Springfield feel a little lacking in restaurant options. Small storefront very nice interior! Clean dining area and bathrooms-important. We had lunch portion of shrimp pad Thai and veggie yellow curry. Each lunch comes with a crispy spring roll and tiny salad. Both meals were delicious- coconut curry was on the sweet side for my liking today but I know coconut milk is sweet so no fault to them. Veggies were wonderful. Cooked perfectly with a little crunch. Shrimp pad Thai was very flavorful as well. My two favorites might be the spring roll and salad- so good. Yindee Thai is an off-shoot of their original hole in the wall "Rice and Noodles" restaurant along Franconia Blvd. Alexandria,VA. Service is not as fast at first but eventually got better since the owner is a very good friend of my host. The fried Duck was a bit chewy and can be improved. The soft shell Crab was the BEST and the Pad Thai, their specialty, seem to be a bit different than the one at their original "Rice and Noodles" branch. I prefer the original version. As for the desserts, I wish they had the sticky rice with fresh mangoes but we had to settle for the fried bananas with Ice cream and the Taro. The Taro was my favorite. This was served in a warm cup of sweetened coconut milk and the Taro is not just the cut up taro root, but was chewy and slightly sweet that complimented the warm coconut milk base.
