I think my expectations were much too high for YiFang. Word on the street was that this place was known for their fruit teas so I had to give it a try. I got to try the brown sugar tea, passion fruit, and floral honey juice. I was expecting very prominent *fresh* intense *tea* flavour. But the flavour profiles were all very mild and watery. I was extra disappointed in the floral honey juice -- absolutely no floral or tea flavour at all, and it literally just tasted like honey and water. And for the price, absolutely not worth it for me to come back. There's PLENTY of other bubble tea places in Vancouver. Don't waste your time on this one.

First of all they were out of a few items. I asked for the matcha one they said "we don't have matcha today." next choice was mango "we don't have mango today" The rest of their selection didn't really appeal to me. I just went for their brown sugar bubble tea. I was kinda disappointed it just tasted like a milk tea. I was expecting it to taste like the milky cereal flavor I've had at other spots. (also it wasn't even a great milk tea flavor) too watered down. Bubble tea kinda pricey here too.

The only good bubble tea place near brentwood. My favorite is the black sugar pearl milk tea. If you are looking for something milky, just go for this one. It is not too sweet, unlike CoCo' black sugar milk tea. But if you like some thing more refreshing, just go for the signature fruit tea. Very fresh and not too sweet compare to other places ice tea.

Pouchong green tea

Yi fangs taro milk is not bad but this green tea drink was bitter and felt like there was no sugar when it says 100% sugar.. I'm not sure if that's the taste of the tea or they just forgot the sugar. Prefer fruit tea and brown sugar milk with pearls.

Poor service. Quality is different in comparison to other YiFang. Staff did not address the issue when raised to him.

TLDR: Good teas overall…read more My wife doesn't like sweet milk teas. Normally she orders them with 0 sugar. She really appreciated the fact that here, the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk tea derives all its sugar from the boba. So the tea itself has no sugar at all. I think that's a good way to do tea... let the boba sweeten the tea! No need to add gallon of sugar after the boba, right? She thought the milk isn't as creamy as back in the bay area. But the tea itself was good. And she liked the boba, which were sweet and mushy, but without being overly mushed. I myself stay away from milk teas (damn you Lactose Intolerance!), so I normally get fruit teas. I got the mango fruit tea, with my usual 50% sugar. Even then, it's still a lot sweeter than I'm used to. But there is a good amount of tea flavor, so it didn't taste like I was drinking mango water. I even ordered some popping boba, which popped well. It was not mushy at all, and had quite a give to the texture. So for me, 4 stars means the tea is delicious, and I would want to come back. It's not quite 5 stars, which means it's one of the best teas I ever had. The guy was nice, and patiently explained about the whole no sugar added to the milk tea thing. As a strange side note, I'm not sure if it's the owner's obsession, but they certainly have a thing for a certain Chinese band... their faces were plastered all over the walls.

The boba is the perfect chewy consistency. They stir fry the boba and it makes all the difference. The boba is so flavorful- the best I've ever had! We had to come back the next day. There was no line on a Sunday/Monday around 8pm. Drinks came out in 5 mins. Street parking out front.
