Green Leaf Bubble Tea has competition where the location is at. There's literally 3 other bubble shop with 2 min walking distance (2 are next door!) It's a family owned bbt shop similar to dragonball's design / layout 2008 called and a milk tea with pearls was $4! In terms of quality, I had better milk tea with pearls. However our friends got the mango ice cream with pearls, and they said the drink was great but the pearls were too soft + no flavor. Overall, if I'm in the area for dinner I might swing by, if not it's not on my top bbt list. read more

This shop doesn't look like much, but is a great place for affordable, straightforward bubble tea. They have a rather large menu, but the staff is happy to give recommendations and explain the items if you ask. I got a fresh taro with pearls and it was delicious! The drink was super creamy and thick with a rich flavour, and the pearls were perfectly soft. And it was only a little over $4, which is a great deal when "fancier" places are charging $6-7 for similar drinks. The person making the drinks was so nice, she chatted with me a little and made sure I was getting what I wanted. It wasn't very busy when I went and it took about 5 minutes for her to make my drink, which I think is reasonable, I'm not sure how they'd handle a bigger crowd though. read more

Run by a husband and wife duo, this bubble shop has a LOT of different drinks to choose from - fresh fruits, milk tea, green tea, and slushes. Prices are reasonable between $4.50-$5.50. Pearls are included at no extra cost, except if you want specialty toppings (popping pearls or flavoured coconut jelly). We got a strawberry banana and a strawberry mango fresh fruit drinks with pearls. The drinks were tasty, but too sweet even though we asked for half sweet. The pearls were overly soft and mushy. They had no chewiness or bite to them. We also waited over 20/25 min for our drinks. p.s. The white pearls were yoghurt popping, which taste like calpis/Yakult filled popping bubbles. Rediscovered love... I've probably been here twice when I was in high school. Everyone knows that bubble world was what was popular back in the day. Was recently brought here by the hubs and have been obsessed with their mango ice cream with coconut jelly. Love that they have different sizes for the drinks so you don't have to waste or you can even get more. I got the small mango ice cream and I got my mama the large taro with pearls. The pearls here are SOOO SOFT and definitely don't take away from the drink itself. It's made of powder of course but is full of flavour (and not the chalky kind). What gets me is that they have so many fresh fruit flavours and options you can pick from. EVEN THE JELLY SELECTIONS ARE HUGE. Owned by an old Vietnamese couple this place has really stood up to the test of time. The parking isn't too bad and there's a lot of tables here as well. Great for a meet up. Good bubble tea, slow service. The bubble tea from this place is decent and the owners are very friendly. However, my only complaint is that they take around 15 to 20 mins to make my order. Came here last week for some bubble tea. I love bubble tea. I had a slushy bubble tea (melon) with extra pearls. Yes I am a crazy person for having something cold outside but then again you're talking to a person who eats ice cream in winter. The pearls were a little tough but manageable. The fresh fruit is really fresh fruit and flavor combinations are unique to this place. you can pretty much custom your drink flavor, order it and they will do it. Really Thirsty? They have a massive 1L (975cc)(33oz) cup for you bottomless empty tankers out there. Ice cream flavors are super creamy and pairs well with jellies. The popping flavor bubbles are very delicate but full of sweet flavor. They removed the arcade machine which kinda is a bummer, but not a reason to stop coming here. Good deals on the daily specials. They have sour sop and avocado specials (Sour sop high in anti-oxidants that helps fight free radicals) Husband and wife shoppe and they run it tight. I've only been to Green Leaf once and tried the jasmine milk green tea with boba. The tea was strong and not too sweet. The boba had a good consistency. The biggest negative was that it took 30 minutes to get a drink on a Tuesday spring afternoon around 4pm because they hand shake each drink and they only have one blender. This is my favourite bubble tea spot! The two owners are super nice and friendly, and they also are the ones who make the drinks. This place probably has 100 different flavours too choose from. My favourites are mango coconut, banana chocolate, and taro, but all the other flavours are equally as good. This place is cash only, which is pretty standard for most bubble tea shops. This isn't a place I usually sit and drink my bubble tea which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but I would never cheat on this place with any of the other Fraser street bubble joints. read more

The two times that I've been here have been hit-or-miss. The first time I had a delicious guava green tea with rainbow jelly drink made for me and it didn't take too long for it to be made. Rainbow jelly was a bit hard and weird consistency but the drink itself was excellent. My friend also really liked his jackfruit smoothie boba drink as well and we found ourselves thinking about it for the next day or two so we decided to go back for another one. However the second time we went, the quality and taste of the drinks were not very good. This time we had to wait for at least 20-25 minutes for the drinks to come out and the place was not that busy... And sadly, my guava green tea drink barely had any flavor and had a strange aftertaste though the jelly's were better than the first time...maybe hey forgot the guava? I never write reviews, but I have to report the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever. I've been going there for a while now every so often. But I'm now cutting them off because we kindly questioned why the bbt we ordered wasn't slushy at all and way too sweet. The lady was trying to convince my fiancé that Lychee Slush is always watery in all bubble tea places... We're not stupid and no, we've had it made better at other bbt places. Every time we tried to explain what we ordered and wanted, she made an excuse. Basically she didn't care at all about our satisfaction and didn't even offer to make us a new one or apologize. RUDE. Never going back again. Save yourself from the hassle from these cheapos and go to BOBA Monster next door, Dragon Ball on King Ed. or Milk and Sugar Cafe on Kingsway. My mom got a mango banana, which is A BAD MIX OF FLAVOURS, DO NOT ATTEMPT. They were fairly busy when we walked in so our drink took quite a while. The texture of the drink was pretty good, but I personally would not recommend mango w banana to anyone. The pearls were slightly old as well. Other than that, I love that they have so many fresh fruit flavors and 3 sizes of bbt. Seems a lil worn down inside but aren't all good places like so? Have been a patron of Green Leaf for many years before the present owners took over. The fresh bubble tea is good. My rating for this place is below average because the service by the present owners is below average. Cold and aloof. When asked for an extra cup for 2 young children to share a bubble tea, the charge was 50 cents which is poor business relations. As a frequent patron, there is no recognition of honouring repeat and loyal customers. This is a rare request by me. Do not expect anything beyond having a bubble tea served. No smile or appreciation of your patronage. Is the bubble tea worth this kind of service when there may be other alternatives close by? read more

There's only one review for Green Leaf?! This place always has customers. Always! It is so good! They are directly across from John Oliver Secondary so they get a lot of teens on school days, and they are conveniently located at 41st and Fraser. You guys, this neighbourhood is changing and let me tell you in a few years I will no longer be the loser leaving the 2nd review for Green Leaf in a neighbourhood that nobody cares about. A new bubble joint has just opened up right beside Green Leaf and there are also 2 other bubble tea places on the same block. Why go Richmond when you can come to Fraser? This place makes the best bubble tea I have ever had and I've tried some of the more popular bbt places. These people say they use fresh fruit and they actually do. I've ordered a "fresh" fruit drink from another place where I watched them pour about a gallon of strawberry syrup into my drink. Green Leaf has a gigantic list of fruit, ice cream and tea combinations that you can make as well as several popping bubbles and tapioca bubbles. I've been coming here since I was a teen and I've always been served by either the husband or wife who are both competent and friendly. Let's all support local business, these people open early and close late and they handle a rush hour better than Starbucks. read more

my all time favourite go-to bubble tea joint! i've been going here for almost 10 years, although the old owners moved a few years back, the quality of this place remained the same. all the fresh fruit bbt is so refreshing made with real fruit, they don't use powder unless stated otherwise. my favourites are the chocolate banana, fresh avocado, strawberry cheesecake, and the classic taro slush :) heads up, this place is cash only! 10/10 would recommend read more
