Highly recommended for people with low standards Keep expectations low for service. This place must have some toxic work seeing how the staff are working. Non english speaking hispanic workers are ordered to do side jobs left and right. The older lady up front needs to do some retraining or she must go. Judging by how fast she speaks, she must be a part time rapper. Our group was rushed to order. Be extra vigilant when she is repeating your order back to u at 2x speed. You are responsible for she hears. Skewers are tossed on a foiled bin in front of you. Good if you like to be treated like cattle But I get it, it's auto gratuity for group of 5. Why bother trying to provide service right read more

Good food, well seasoned, and fair portions. I suggest getting the spicy stir fried crabs! The skewers are also delicious! Recommend ordering the pork belly, pork belly with enoki, and wagyu. Service is decent, nothing to right home about. If you have any complaints or want to fix something from your tab, expect them to offer no resolution and rush you to pay just so they don't have to deal with you. Place appears to be clean. Lots of large booth seatings for large groups. read more

If you are having those "let's do something spontaneous" days, this would be the place for you. I took Momma Tran on a Tuesday afternoon. The wait wasn't too long. The staff was friendly and kind The food was amazing. We several dishes. -Roasted Eggplant -Beef skewers -Beef tendon (chewy) -Scallop vermicelli -Shrimp vermicelli (w/garlic sauce) You are given two cold side dishes, edamame & pickled radish. Everything was delicious! We ordered a lot and we finished but it was a bit oily, that is to be expected with these dishes though. I loved all of them, my favorite is the beef skewers & roasted egg. (This was from my very first trip/I have returned a second time;this would be my go to for skewers) The ambiance is also beautiful. It's just a great overall place. On my second trip here, it was rainy and perfect. The floor was a little slippery, but overall love this place! read more

We finally got a chance to go check this place out and they did not disappoint! We had a large party so we called ahead to reserve a spot and since we were a big party they gave us one of the private rooms! Adequately seats 11 people but be prepared to get a little warm. As for the food. We went with the 5lb broil Witt our choice of seafood eats! Shrimp, crab legs, mussels, clams, and crawfish. A free cold dish comes with the broil and we went with the spicy chicken gizzards. Extremely spicy reminiscent of the numbing spice flavor Delicious but spicy. As for the broil. You can get spicy, garlic butter or a combo of both. Skewers we're delicious! Definitely try the fatty beef and chicken skewers! I think if you're tired of the juicy crab, pirates boil type broil you should try this place out! Definitely adding this place to one of my top places to go now! read more

YH's BBQ & Crab is in the corner of the shopping center with Sweet Hut on Pleasant Hill Rd. They're in soft open right now. The interior is nicely decorated with lots of wood and grey brick walls. The lighting and materials make it seem really cozy. The menu is full of choices like skewers, boiled seafood selections, hot pot, and some cold dishes. I almost went with clams, but I decided to go with the 1lb crawfish seafood boil Hot and Spicy since that's a good baseline dish. The presentation was like art. It reminds me of the BBQ Shrimp from Pascal's Manale in New Orleans swimming in a bowl of butter and spices. The crawfish were neatly arranged in a small pile in the middle of a bowl of red hot bean broth/sauce and red chilies instead of butter like you would get New Orleans style. Not waiting for everything to cool down, I started shucking the crawfish and got burned several times, but it was worth it. The broth/sauce had diced ginger and garlic, red bean paste, red chili peppers, and sichuan peppercorn with some cilantro for garnish. It was slightly sweet, most likely from the garlic and not added sugar. The level of heat was enjoyable with the Sichuan peppercorn adding to the depth of flavor. This isn't the pure fire and pain like Red Crawfish has on their boiled selections. If you're looking for pain this isn't that hot, but it is enjoyable. I definitely want to come back and try this with clams and also try out some of the skewers as well. If you're bored with Cajun style boiled seafood, then you are in for a treat here. read more

The name of the restaurant does it no justice. This place serves fantastic lamb skewers. A must have when you are here. And even better... the beer is cheap. Late night snackers take heed... this is the spot for lamb skewers.. and more beer. We had a variety of skewers, but the large/chunky style lamb skewer is the best. Those larger chunks were more moist, and satisfying that the smaller versions. The next best thing was the cauliflower. The szechuan flavors were awesome. We also had their fish, which arrived in the extra large heated pan. Fish was good, and the portion was extra large. The place is quite busy, so, you should call ahead and put your name down. We had a g00d 45min wait cos we were walkins. read more

I've seen this place around for ever and I've never stopped in until earlier this year. YH Crab is located on Pleasant Hill Road (same shopping center as Sweet Hut). The menu consists of skewers, seafood boils, Hot & cold dishes and so much more. We always get a combination of skewers here. The egg fried rice is also one of their top items. If you are super hungry, try the seafood boil. There is a 3 lbs minimum but it's worth every penny. I've only had the garlic butter flavored seafood boil here and it's amazing. Service is usually alright. Attentive staff. The food comes out fairly quickly if they are not too busy. If you visit during peak hours, expect to wait 30 mins to 1 hour. Thankfully, you can make reservations over the phone. read more

Clean and new service was excellent. Skewers come fast and juicy. Not for those scared of a little spice.

Pleasantly surprised! I'm usually not a fan of Szechuan food but this place really did impress me! It is located in the same plaza as Sweet Hut. The interior is very modern and clean. It is super spacious with many rooms and lots of privacy. We ordered the cheesy sizzling corn, special beef (#2), and the oyster. They were both so good! The beef is super tender and the oyster is extremely fresh! We got the choose 3 lbs of seafood boil with spicy garlic sauce. Next time I would ask them to make the seafood spicier -1 lb clam -1 lb crawfish -1 lb shrimp Service is kinda slow and they forgot to put in our additional screwers, but they are super busy. There was a line outside before they opened at 1 pm. Definitely will return in the future. read more

I don't think I could come here without a person who is Chinese and knows what to order. I took pictures of all my favorite dishes but I have no idea what my friend ordered for our private dining room. Everything was super delicious, especially the fried shrimp and the clams dish. They are so flavorful! The tofu was really good too and so were the spicy peanuts. Everyone also really like this curers, especially the lamb one, and I agree. Everyone also is waiting for the crispy pork dish, which was also very good but not my favorite. This is definitely a family style place and I would not go here with anyone who doesn't know how to eat family style Szechuan. Szechuan spice is definitely a real thing here, they do not skimp. Service was OK because my friend ordered completely in Chinese and almost everyone in our party was also Chinese. However, we brought a cake from cold stone to share at the end of the meal, and they did not remember to put it in the freezer. And it melted. Also note that on yelp, and on the sign outside the door, this place is known as YH. However all my Chinese friends call it something completely different. This is definitely a legit Chinese place. Almost everyone here is completely Chinese or if you're not Chinese, you're going with a party of people who know what's up. read more

Been here a few times with my Chinese/Sichuanese parents. It is often pretty crowded here but we're usually still able to be seated immediately. The decor is very modern Chinese .. like very reminiscent of modern restaurants in China .. lots of dark wood, interior-exterior style. The food is always really great. They're known for their whole fish which we got with tomatoes this time (not sure where it is on the menu). The tomatoes gave the fish a really nice sweet and slightly tangy taste that's so unique from the usual ma la spice that we get. Honestly it's my new favorite flavor. The fish is also very tender and slides off the main bones really well. Comes on top of tree ear, lotus roots, and other veggies. The appetizer was a cold salad of sorts - a bunch of mixed veggies with chili and sesame oil. Super refreshing and delicious ... and a bit spicy. The lamb skewers are also pretty well known here. Very tender and not too spicy. I think you can ask for extra seasoning to add on top. We also got this beef with peppers that was also great. The peppers weren't too spicy but the beef was once again very tender and flavorful. You could taste the peppers infused with it. Overall - amazing place for authentic Sichuanese food. Like any other place, place your fish order first because it takes the longest time to cook. Never had anything bad here and all the tastes are very authentic. The spices levels can vary greatly so use caution (we usually go for less spicy just to save our stomachs the next day HAHA). A family favorite! read more

Kabobs served fast and most of them were delicious. Just don't order the Fatty Beef kabobs which comes with 10 skewers, it's a total scam. Seafood Boil kept us waiting for a long time so we had to order other stuff to have something to do. It will be better if the servers were nicer during the meal, not being nice and attentive until they gave us the check is a big disappointment. read more

Plenty of parking by the restaurant. It's in the same shopping plaza as Sweet Hut. Scallops: was a bit too salty. Stir fry mixed veggies: not bad, taste healthy and balances out the more spice heavy skewers. Lamb skewers: definitely my favorite one. Meat was nice and tender too. There were two types, the roasted mutton cubes were the ones I preferred. Shrimp: not bad and you can eat the skin too if you are too lazy to peel it. Mini sausage: was okay. Roasted fried bean curd: was a bit dry but not too bad. Would definitely want to come back and try the other items. It is more on the pricey side. Also in case you also thought the grill looking thing would grill or keep your food warm, it doesn't. It's just for aesthetics read more

I found this spot via Yelp and with all the great reviews I had to go try it for myself. I honestly thought it was okayyy... didn't think it was a 4.5 star place for me. We were greeted prompting after entering the doors and taken to our table. We ordered a total of 3 different skewers: 2 ordered of the special beef, 2 orders of the new orleans chicken, 1 grilled oysters in garlic sauce, 1 lamb, 1 egg fried rice, 1 spicy clams, 1 foiled enoki mushroom. I thought there were too much of cumin and garlic in all the food. The oyster and foiled enoki mushroom were cooked the same - covered in garlic sauce. The spicy clams had an overbearing taste of cumin that took away from the overall dish. I will commend the staff, they were all patient and gave great recommendations. I do think it's personal preference so you should go try it for yourself. read more

Every time I have came here, there has been a wait. The skewers are fairly priced, tasty, and they have everything from kidneys to seafood to different poultry, beef, and lamb you would want. Located in a large shopping center near Gwinnett Place Mall (lots of parking); YH's BBQ & Crabs offers a variety of tasty dishes, from meat skewers, to full-on seafood pots. We selected a few different types of seafood to create our own pot (highly recommend their signature sauce). The portion was huge and super tasty. Really good skewers, clams was amazing The atmosphere was great, the service was good, and the food was all top notch. The chicken skewers used marinated dark meat and was incredibly tender. The beef imo had a bit too much fat but the flavor was super good and also equally tender. The lamb was def the star of the show. A bit pricey (5 skewers for 8$ I think) but totally worth it. Each person will want 3-5 I think. read more

I liked it ok. K said he doesn't have to come back. I liked the 2 chicken wings on the skewer for $3.99. The egg fried rice was greasy but good, with enough salt for me. Everything we got was the not spicy versions so the gizzards and the fatty beef skewers were not seasoned good. The regular beef skewer was seasoned well but fatty. I enjoyed the experience and trying something new. I think there were a lot of hot pots that we didn't know anything about so we didn't try them. read more

**AMAZING** doesn't even describe how great our experience was. I can't get over how every bite was a bursting bomb of flavors - sweet, spicy, sour, savory, umami! This was our first experience with what we think was Szechuan-style Chinese BBQ. We ordered several skewers and a few dishes so that we could try a little of lots of different items. Nothing disappointed, it was all very delicious. We started off taking pictures of everything as it was brought out, but quickly got preoccupied with eating that we missed snapping shots of the skewers - maybe next time. This is definitely going to become a regular dining location for us. I'm going to dream of what to try next read more

Love this place! Everything was delicious. However, I do feel bad for how busy they were. The food came out very slowly and the waiters and waitresses were hustling back and forth. The host kept apologizing, and we understood. They even said they are so busy that they cannot handle to-go orders yet. Hope they can increase their staff and stabilize service. Despite it all, food came out hot and quality was good. Note: I thought the box with foil was similar to a kbbq grill or something, but they grill the food in the kitchen and then lay it on the foil. read more

The food was phenomenal here but I honestly think we were discriminated against. Checking in they told us it was a 30min wait. After waiting 30 mins I send my daughter in to see how much longer... they told her 15 more mins. Considering it was almost closing I opted to call in and ask for the wait. The girl mentioned 5 mins. We quickly handled that issue. I honestly didn't want to dine here bc of that but I really wanted to try the seafood boil. They gave us plastic cups and plates which was shocking bc I didn't see anyone else be served with plastic items. The seafood was fresh and good quality. The tea was good as well. The Kebob portions was rather small. Over I will return. The seafood boil was great hopefully they'll treat us with a little more respect next time. read more

If you're into spicy Chinese cuisine, this is the spot. The prices seems fair to me since they didn't skimp out on the portion size. Pretty authentic in the presentation and the flavor as their chuars closely resemble ones had in the mainland, but man, too much MSG in their seasoning! Small portions vs. $ spent ($100 something for two, with two drinks), leaving hungry and drought with that MSG overpowering. The chuars get cold too fast - the fat should stay melted and flavorful, not hard as clay and nasty! I wish they do well and stay open; Please step up! read more

This place has so so much potential but let me tell you why I gave this place a 3 and not 5 . The location of this place is amazing! It's right next to moge tea and crossing bridge. This place is always packed so it took us 3 try to even had a chance to eat here. After waiting 30mins we finally get to be seated. The place is really hot and humid bc it rained that day. We ordered almost everything on the menu or at least whatever they didn't ran out. Their kabob was really good but I cant say the same about their seafood pot. Opposite from the kabob which have so much flavors; the seafood pop lacked so much. It's just seafood in a spicy pot; I tasted nothing but spice. Of course I'll be back, but only for the kabob and nothing more.... One more thing!!! Get their pitcher of tea, you won't regret it. Until next time!!! Peace read more

The service was on point, unique old world Chinese decor. The food is authentic as in this is not your corner Chinese fast food. Their specialty are bbq meat skewers. The skewer of meats are heavy on dry cumin bbq rub and the cold dishes have a distinct chili oil and garlic flavor. The skewers of meats are cooked in the kitchen and brought to table to be eaten either alone or with a side of rice. The meats are exotic: hearts, kidneys, tripe, skin, get the idea? Portions are small, but that's good so you can sample multiple skewers. Go here if you're in the mood to try something other than your typical Chinese fast food. read more

Found this place randomly one night because everything else was closed and our meal easily became the top highlight of my week trip to Atlanta. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection, and tasted like the most authentic Chinese cuisine i've ever had in the states. Some of the dishes were even arguably better than the way they are served in China. It was so good we literally went back the next day just so we could eat there one more time before we went back home. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, specifically the skewers & the boiled fish pot. It is definitely a must. read more

On our road trip from VA to TX, hubby asked his sister for food recs in the Atlanta area. She immediately told us about this place. She said it was a Chinese restaurant and we had to order the seafood boil. Huh? Who orders seafood boil at a Chinese restaurant? And she said the skewers were good. Skewers? Definitely not your typical Chinese restaurant. We were very skeptical but she said it would be "an experience." What kind of experience? A bad experience? So while I was driving, hubby read the reviews and he said we should give it a try. I wasn't excited but we went. As soon as we walked in, they said they only had small tables available for the four of us. Oookaaay. Every table had different meat on skewers sitting on a box covered with foil. The menu had ox aorta, chicken gizzard, chicken heart, lamb kidney, etc. These are things I don't eat but I was glad they had items on the menu I could eat. Whew! So we proceeded to order. Our waitress was very kind and so accommodating to our questions and requests. They provide a pair of gloves that come individually packed which I personally tried but took off because it was so slippery. It distracted me from my food. The first item that came out were the scallops. Each order comes with one scallop shell so we initially ordered two. One scallop is not enough for two people to share so we ordered another two. It was covered in sotanghon noodles sauteed with lots of garlic and some sliced peppers. The flavor was so good but the little scallop was overcooked. The eggplant was grilled perfectly and the special beef skewers were very delicious. Then came out this massive pot filled with snow crab and shrimp drenched in garlic butter. It looked amazing and it tasted even more amazing! Since our seniors can't handle spice we asked for chili oil on the side to dip our seafood. They had the best chili oil I had ever tasted. It smelled good and tasted even better. We asked for more to pack and our waitress granted our wish. Next time, we are coming without seniors so we could order the spicy seafood boil. I can't wait! I'm already imagining how good it would be. LOL! The table next to us ordered the corn which looked so good so we ordered the corn too and let me tell you guys, the corn was delicious. It was perfectly grilled, had a chew to it and sprinkled with goodness. We also ordered a pitcher of passion fruit green tea which was perfect refresher while we ate the garlic butter shrimp and crab. The SIL also suggested the cold soba but we were so full. There was no more room in our happy and satisfied tummies. We are going back one day. It was worth the time and the money to eat at this place. It was an experience! read more
