Nightmare experience. Ordered a YETI Cooler with ample time to arrive before Christmas. Unfortunately I received a YETI backpack instead. YETI requires you to send the item back before they send you the correct one, which after all is said and done, would take too long and Christmas would have passed. So this big gift wouldn't make it under the tree due to YETIs error, and me (the customer) ends up being penalized and has to jump through hoops. Why doesn't YETI ship me the correct item I ordered, and charge me after 30-days if I don't return the mistaken item like other companies? Rather than go through that, I ended up purchasing the cooler elsewhere and sent the incorrect item back for a simple refund. However instead of refunding me, they SEND ME THE COOLER, so now I have two, even though the customer service rep explicitly switched the return to a refund and not replacement. YETI was unresponsive for almost 2 weeks on the issue, and when they finally responded, it was a canned response, unapologetic for the bad experience, and asked me to just ship the product back to get my originally requested refund. Well-made products, but awful service and policies which is a shame. read more

I see people drinking beer; I get thirsty. Stop by Yeti last week on my second day here in my new home of Austin. This place is awesome. All they need here is John Carradine, Lon Chaney Jr. and Boris Karloff Abominable Snowman movies. I had no clue about the Yeti concept. Coolers wow. This is an amazing store. Lots of merch and items to keep your beverages cold. They also have an area for customization of equipment. Double wow. Best part on my part (lol); beer. Yes Kavanaugh beer. I like beer you jerk. Anyway, their beer selected is limited, but delicious. I had a Govalle tropical IPA that was delicious. It was very smooth and did I say delicious. Lol So 5 stars to this place just for the fact that you can find every product that they carry, in every color in one place. Right as you walk up to store there is a cute outside bar that serves beer and wine. You sit on their padded coolers, kind of fun! YETI bar! You can come here to shop, or just to kinda live the Yeti lifestyle. The Yeti lifestyle involves having cold drinks often, served out of ruggedly stylish coolers and drink accessories. These coolers always seem way over-engineered, but if you're working on a boat or out of a ATV or in really hot temperatures, these coolers are about as cool as you're going to get. I heard a story from my buddy who said that his friend's truck caught fire and burned up in the Texas scrub brush. Once the fire had burned out, his iced sweet tea still had ice inside the Yeti cup, still sitting in the cup holder. This is a great place to check out some live music- they have a stage in the shop, with a great sound setup, and no bad places to view from. They served up Valentino's BBQ and showed of Franklin BBQ's old grill out in front of the place. The bar out in front is a great place to look out on the Congress Street Bridge. They have a patio that wraps around the building, and has lots of great spots (made of coolers) to sit on. The Texas flag behind the bar has been crafted out of thousands of bottle caps! Awesome! It's a relatively cheap place to grab a cold one, especially if you're seeking to see those Austin bats that hang out under the bridge. The handle is too small and the pour spout must be screwed on and doesn't align 90 degrees from handle. This is our fifth and sixth purchases from Yeti and have always praised their products. Not now; I wouldn't buy again. We were never able to actually talk with a person and through email told to approach Amazon where we purchased these two Ramblers originally. Wel,l there was a small error in the shipping address (all within the same vicinity of the same city) and.. get this: they refused to correct/change the shipping address, even to the billing address, without canceling the entire order. Because I noticed the error the day after the promotion ended, they said I'd need to cancel and re-order the product at full price, amounting to a $400+ difference. Make this Yeti flagship store a destination in Austin. It's located on Congress Avenue on the south end of the Congress Bridge. The employees here are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed learning more about the Yeti history and browsing their many product lines. They also have a little seating area that plays short films throughout the day. The bar outside the store has beer, wine and sparkling wine as well as sodas. You can use a Yeti loaner to keep your drink cold. There's a shaded patio near the bar but no AC and it's 100 degrees today so we didn't stay for a dri I have a few Yeti products and live them. Next purchase is probably the Yeti dog bowls! read more

We had a work event here which was really a cool experience. I love that they have a bar outside and yeti coolers to sit on, and you can drink a beer while wandering out the store! Being in town on vacation we were pleasantly surprised to see that the Yeti Flagship store is in downtown Austin. The store is super cool and has basically all things yeti including new release stuff that isn't in other stores near us. We are on more of an Ozark trail budget but did splurge on the lowland blanket as we wanted something soft, comfortable, but also rugged and strong to use when doing picnics, movies in the park, and other stuff with our kiddos. We were short on time so we couldn't partake but the coolest thing is they have a bar on the patio with drinks served out of yeti coolers. Super cool! read more

Pretty cool flagship store with all of the different items they sell in pretty great quantity. They also have a custom shop where you can get parts to make your YETI your own. Also a small lounge area showing videos of outdoorsy folks using their YETI products on their adventures. Outside bar with limited food choices makes for a nice hangout. They have a bar! Who would of thunk it but the Yeti Flagship Store has a bar and it's a great spot to take a load off. I first took a look around the store which I saw a few items that I could add to my wish list and then proceeded to the outside bar. It was a beautiful Sunday early afternoon and just a handful of people probably cause street parking is limited but Free on Sunday. My husband and I ordered a Yeti mule and found a very comfortable spot to sit by the bar. I was kind of surprised that they didn't serve us in Yeti cups or mugs but instead plastic cups, but all good though. We sat in their very comfortable HONDO Base Camp Chair and now we want to buy them, lol. While we were there sipping our mules we did go on the Yeti site and purchased two 14oz Rambles in Offshore Blue but really looks purple. So they still got us, lol. There was probably seating for about 50 all around their outdoor deck including at the bar which they had a TV playing one of the World Cup games. It was very relaxing and an enjoyable time. So after an entirely horrible experience with their online and customer service department on the phone, I ended up going to the flagship store and they really helped me out. They were kind and listened to my issue and ended up giving me a discount on the item I needed with a time constraint. So it turns out that Yeti outsources their customer service to a third-party, albeit in the United States, and when you have an issue with them and request to escalate to a manager they simply hang up the phone. Employees at the Yeti flagship store said that they have been receiving a lot of negative feedback from customers about their customer service phone experience and that they did not know why.
