Visited while on a day trip to Austin! It was a nice store, but was hoping for something unique to the location as it's the "flagship" store such as a hat or T-shirt that was only available there. Everything there was something I could buy online or at a store back home. Parking was annoying, as it was paid street parking or you could get your parking comp'd at the hotel next door if you made a purchase at the yet store. There was a bar at the front/outside portion of the entrance where some patrons were purchasing beverages and hanging out on the deck. To me it was a little random, since the parking situation sucked and the view wasn't anything special besides the busy street. They had cool displays and a wide selection to shop from. They also had a customization area for yeti water bottles/tumblers. We left empty handed, but they do have large bathrooms for patron use which is a plus. I do love my Yeti products, but this experience was a little disappointing. read more

The Yeti store is cool! I visited over the summer for the Mush pop up and loved seeing how they transformed the space for the pop up! They had people in giant coolers doing cold plunges, free coffee outside, ice sculptures, a band playing, oysters, etc! It was awesome. That was my first time browsing the store. I took my fiance recently to check it out and pick up a couple Christmas gifts. You can customize almost anything right on the screen and then wait for it or go back to pick it up. The wait time was 3 hours, so we went back the next day. They have a bar on the patio so I imagine those people having drinks were probably waiting for their orders. The YETI Flagship Store is located on South Congress Avenue, just across the Congress Avenue Bridge if you are coming from Downtown Austin. I am not really a YETI fan, so I came here to see what the fuss was about. The store definitely has a large selection of YETI products, but I did not see any special offers on products or any items exclusive to the Austin store. I am talking about mugs with Austin printed on them like Starbucks does with their products. Maybe that has changed since I visited the store a few years ago, as the website does state that they do that now. The store website also states that they do offer in-store customization of their products. Despite the lack of exclusive items, I ended up buying a wine tumbler that I use often. I think the biggest appeal of buying at YETI is the large product selection in store. Though if you are looking to get a good deal here, I would advise that you would be better off looking online for special offers. read more

First time having the opportunity to go to a YETI store, and loved it. Everyone was super welcoming and helpful-plus they have a great little bar out front with comfortable seating on a shaded porch, mister fans going when it's hot, and a never ending parade of dogs (swoon!). Not a HUGE selection of options at the bar, but definitely something for everyone, including a nice variety of nonalcoholic choices. It's also right next door to the Congress Ave bat bridge, so a great spot to chill beforehand if you're going to view their evening flight. Nice and clean bathrooms, as well as in store engraving. While we didn't utilize it as we were staying across the street at Embassy Suites, they do offer 1 hour of validated parking at the Hyatt Garage, located behind the store (at the time of this review). This area is a bit far from my partner's customer he comes to town for sporadically, but if I ever tag along with him again I'm pushing for this location, specifically because of this store and the vibe on the porch. Love my Yeti. I honestly don't go anywhere without my yeti. Sometimes I even take 2 with me. This Texas heat is serious and I stay hydrated. Yeti keeps my water cold even sitting in the car. My favorite is the 26 ounce. Fits perfectly in my car cup holder. It fits in my work bag great. And it's not too heavy when it's filled with water. I do have a 30 ounce handled tumbler, and it's heavy when it's filled, and the handle part hurts my hand. So I just use that when I'm at home. Love coming in the store to see what new colors they have. I couldn't pass up the cosmic lilac. Really pretty color. It comes with a slide top. I like the lids with the straw. They were out of the accessory, so I just bought the mug. At the register I saw this Yeti smashed, he said some guy ran it over with a motorcycle. And there was another Yeti that was smashed even more. And he said that was run over by a fire truck. Wow! I thought they were indestructible. After I bought my Yeti, I was on my way. I'll come by again when I need another. I have 7 now. So I think I'm good for a while. But I would like to get a couple lids with straws. read more

Who knew the only thing that would make a yeti store better is having a bar outside of it?? We stopped in to both buy some merchandise and have a drink. I loved my canned ranch water, and the price wasn't any different than another bar. Fun part is that you can give them your ID to hold onto if you want to borrow a koozie! We sat on the porch for a while, on chairs and makeshift benches from Yetis with a cushion on them. We definitely enjoyed our time! Only downside was some ice delivery came and when they threw the ice in one of our seat-coolers it soaked us in water. Oh well, at least it was hot out! read more

I'm definitely a fan of the Yeti line of products so it should be no surprise that I love my new 46 oz Yeti Rambler Bottle with it's chug cap. I own way too much Yeti, but I can't resist making a new purchase when a new application presents itself. I applied the same reasoning when I purchased my Tundra 45 and Tundra 160 Hard Coolers, my countless collection of 30 oz Rambler travel mugs, 20 oz tumblers, and10 oz low ball stackables, must I go on, the worst Yeti product I purchased is wonderful. The are lots of knockoffs on the market and their pricing had tempted me to shop them but I always default to the Yeti - I have learned over the years that pre-chilling is the only way to go, whether that's a cup of ice in a beverage container or a sacrificial bag of ice for the cooler this protocol definitely pays dividends. This 46 oz Rambler Bottle cost me about $1.19 an ounce, that a small price to pay considering it will provide years of service so the value is there and there's no other justification needed, it's rare find such a great return on your investment in my opinion... read more

The store front is cute is features a bar on the front patio. We actually passed on day drinking and did a little shopping at this perfectly decorated and organized store. Ultimately, I didn't get anything but I did enjoy looking at the full range of Yeti products and checking out some of the new colors. Some Yeti stuff I think is a bit overpriced and novelty but I am a long time fan of their can coolers and drink wares. I always recommend the Yeti flagship when bringing friends into ATX and hosting them and this store holds its own presence in all things Austin and Yeti. I will say there is a fun outdoor bar seating area which is great for those beautiful weather days, the fact that they have cheap drinks in the heart of downtown and right off the bridge, well who's complaining? I know they are there you sell you expensive Yeti merch at the end of the day, but there was no sales pressure tactics, the store was very welcoming and all the Yeti items are out there for your perusal and you get to see all the fun colors in hand. While these days I live closer to the Yeti Domain, I stopped by for the 4th of July weekend and it was still a hip place to be with groups of people having fun socializing and drinking with shade and fans on full blast. I love Yeti, so a trip to their flagship store was a must. They have an amazing selection of colors and sizes! With Mother's Day coming up, they were offering free engraving. I got a great straw bottle that would hold enough water to get me through a half day of teaching (before I could refill). The straw would make it easy to drink and hard for spills when students knock it over! I like Yeti, much better than that other insulated cup. More sizes and colors, and I don't have to fight to get the "in" color! read more

I'm probably not alone in thinking that we live in a disposable society where most products are either being downsized or reimagined out of inferior materials -- cars, electronics, appliances, tools and clothing all seem destined for an early grave through planned obsolescence. Not YETI. When I paid $35 for a coffee tumbler, I thought how could I be so gullible. Well, I'm an idiot because the damn thing is nearly indestructible and keeps beverages hot for hours on end. The top seals like a bank vault avoiding any spillage with an easy clean surface that still looks terrific. Some cut-rate imposter I bought on impulse at TJ Maxx is now a landfill trophy. Great products, disappointed in recall handling. I had a hopper m30 that I was happy with, once I heard of the recall I sent back my old cooler and selected replacement product in lieu of a gift card since I just wanted my same version I was happy with. Unfortunately I received a flip top 18 and a gift card. I reached out to customer support only to be told that once selected there's nothing that can be done to remedy the situation. I offered to return all that I was shipped just to get the same cooler that I sent back, it was denied. I understand that when the recall first happened, this would be an acceptable option, but since there is a new hopper m30 I expected a direct replacement. I'm disappointed in the way this interaction was handled, hopefully mine is an isolated incident. read more

I've been to Austin a few times but never to the Yeti store. We made sure to put it on the itinerary for this trip, and it was well worth it. I think we spent a good 2-3 hours here. I wish I had their names but a couple of the associates were so nice and friendly. We talked to them a long while just about Austin in general and received some great recommendations. Then, eventually, about products too. They have some flagship store-only exclusives so it was cool to shop around. I ended up getting a new insulated coffee tumbler in the new lavender color with an Austin logo etched on. My boyfriend decided to get something similar etched onto a new koozie. While we waited for our new purchases to be etched, we of course checked out the bar which is located on a big front porch with great vibes. There are some rocking chairs, coolers for seating, foosball (also made out of a yeti cooler) and friendly bartenders. The drinks were pretty cheap and it was just a great time having a drink at *the* Yeti headquarters. Highly recommend! read more

You really can't beat a Yeti. Rather than testing out the less expensive coolers that will never last (like I have) just do yourself a favor and invest in a quality product like Yeti. Especially if you are a camper and can't replace the ice every few hours. This location is in a cool spot but does not have obvious, available parking (like a parking lot) and the street parking is a "cross your fingers and pray for luck" situation, BUT if you park in the hotel garage next to it then they will validate your ticket. I ended up having a great experience with a team member but it did not start off that way. The first team member could not have been less interested in his job and literally walked away in the middle of a question that was being asked. I almost left but another team member flew in for the rescue, apologized for his coworker, and then helped me find the cooler of my dreams. No regrets on that purchase. All employees friendly and helpful, ready to explain the gear and candid about what's available and what's not. The outside bar is a relaxed space for sure, but unavoidably noisy due to its location at a huge intersection. Cocktails tasty and priced in line with the market; not very strong. I had no idea Yeti is a Texas thing, but Nate and I saw this store while walking on Congress and stopped in. They have a bar outside with Yeti cooler seating (cushions on top of the coolers), a foosball table made from a Yeti cooler, and TVs. We didn't get any drinks but I thought it was a fun addition to this store. Inside you can get any Yeti thing you could possibly think of - bags, of course coolers in every single size, insulated tumblers and mugs, accessories for just about every Yeti product, apparel, luggage (who knew they made luggage - not me!), etc. They even sell ice and special ice packs. The bathrooms were nice and very appreciated. I also liked that they have a water bottle filler fountain. The store is big, with a boat and a taxidermy bear inside, as well as a stage. They had a whole area where you can customize your own cooler with different colors and accessories. I feel like Yeti is doing a great job when it comes to its branding and story, because it seems like people just really go bananas for these products. I personally think paying $200+ for a cooler is wild, and they had some giant coolers that cost $1,000. Crazy! I'm glad we stopped in and checked out this space, but certainly wouldn't need to visit again anytime soon. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I don't know what store is responsible for fulfilling their online sales, so I'm going to write it here on their Flagship store since I'm assuming this store is in charge of retail goods. Ordered a $400 cooler online. Was given 3 shipping options: ground, 2 day and next day. Estimated delivery was Thursday, July 21. (Today) because we paid next day air. Note that it was $30 extra to ship next day so the total for this cooler came out to $470.00 after tax. It's July 21 and it didn't arrive. When husband called their customer service number to ask where our cooler was, the man on the other line (wish I knew his name) was cocky and rudely told my husband that "the system" was wrong. That the computer gave my husband the wrong information. Husband asked him if he knew the correct date and the man-child on the other end of the line sighed, sat for a few seconds and then just HUNG UP on my husband. WHO DOES THAT?! POOR treatment of customers by the employee who answered the phone. For coolers that cost THAT much you think they would hire professional people who treat their clientele well. I hope management / upper management / corporate sees this and does something to remedy the attitude of that employee. read more

I'm a big fan of Yeti, already owned a couple before coming to this flagship location. Visiting Austin, from Canada. I knew that I was getting one and getting it customize. We came on a Sunday. My husband and I both got large tumbler one $30 and $40 and got it customize($12 each). They had originally had the customized free the week prior so it was taking several days, which was fine as we were in town for a week. After not getting a notification we came by 3 days after to check if it was ready, was told not yet. On Friday I finally called and they said it was ready, still didn't get a notification. We came in on Saturday before catching our flight home. The store is nice has a bar if you want a little cocktail while shopping. The store has a lot of yeti selections, from coolers, clothing, backpacks, so on and all tumblers you could ever imagine. Parking is hard to find. read more

Five star, yes Yeti is as good as it gets. I visited this store several times during my multiple summers in Texas. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Prior to discovering Yeti, I was sold and convinced Hydroflask was as good as it gets. Clearly I was wrong. Yeti's customer service is top notch and the primary reason I will continue to purchase from this company and praise them. They stand behind their product and even offer a limited warranty period ranging from 3 to 5 years. They have great drinkware and coolers. Yeti offers unique drinkware options. Yeti products make THE perfect gift. The price is high, but you get what you pay for. I place a lot of online orders now since I like to customize/personalize my gifts and this is the closest store some 1400 miles away from me. We were so glad we stopped by the Yeti Flagship Store on the way to see the bats! We're big yeti fans, and it was great to see all they have to offer. Came in here on a random Thursday with a friend who was on a mission for replacement lids for several 26 ounce ramblers. Our sales guy (we didn't get his name) was very helpful. The assistant store manager, Tim, however, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and was able to help us out and explain things simplistically and easily. And he also hooked my girlfriend up with a complimentary gasket as she just needed one and he happened to have a spare in the back. This place is banging. Very dog friendly. A bar. I love my yeti... but service is another level of bad. My yeti rambler 26 oz which I only bought six months ago at this store started to leak and leaked all over my purse while traveling. When I went back last week to try to get help from the store, I was told to go to the website and that was it. This was a good opportunity to say "hey why don't you just buy another lid for $13?". Or... "we can help you...". Parking was also a nightmare here but that's secondary. While non-sales customer service is terrible at the store, the website has been another level of bad. I sent in a warranty claim and got an immediate response from Poorav S who asked for more photos and a video. I'm thinking "What - how many hoops do I need to jump through?" I ended up doing all that was asked. 8 days later still ghosted. I emailed customer service again and Poorav responded asap with they needed a video and I hadn't sent what they asked for. #eyeroll. I emailed again stating I had sent everything including a video and can you please verify that I've sent it once again. *crickets* So I finally bought a $13 new lid on Amazon which is due soon. Cost and life lost for dealing with #1 this store and #2 customer service online - priceless. So to sum it up. Yeti is awesome. The store is nice for its assortment. The store has everything you might need in terms of outdoor products and there is a bar on the front porch...which is very convenient. Can't believe I have been living in Austin for as long as I have without going to the Yeti Bar. The store was just like any other store, but the bar on the outside is the reason why I would go back! Drinks are dirt cheap! I don't think I've ever had a $5 cocktail in Austin unless it was a happy hour that wasn't downtown. We sat at the bar for a couple hours and watched football. Loved that the obviously serve everything You get in a Yeti. Bartenders were great, super social, on top of making sure you had enough to drink.
