There were 2 cashiers for about 15 people (most were behind me by the time I got to one. He told me he'd have someone meet me back there. I got back there, no one! Two women were folding clothing and ignored me. Finally someone got this great guy Bryan to help me. We got my bike (which was on sale) and he cut the long line at the cashiers and checked me out. He offered to help me put it in the car too. Very helpful. The store is severely understaffed. If you can find what you want and get it up front, you're OK. But it's very difficult to get help. Review from 2018: Academy doesn't have a very good selection of tennis gear, but I guess that's based on demand. They do have great deals on decent clothing, often reduced to excellent prices. Recently I bought decent baseball caps and t-shirts for $4.99 each! Needed a couple of bikes for young grandchildren. They had a sale. Had to search for a person to help, but finally got two brand new, fully assembled kids bikes for only $44 each. Truly a good place to shop, especially if you're looking to save a few bucks.

She recommended I spend a few minutes walking around the fitting area to get a good feel of the boot to determine the best fit. I'm in between sizes depending on shoes, brand and design (6-6.5 US Women) and typically wear lightweight socks with all year-round boots. To my surprise the Blundstone Original Chelsea # 510 in size 3 (AU/UK) = 36 EU fit just right. I wore my new boots to Vancouver, and they were comfortable right out of the box, no need to break them in. I signed up for their membership and can't wait go to back to pick up a few more things--overall solid experience.

They have lots of horse-themed books and toys, too and boots and britches. They also have a board outside where people advertise horses, lessons and boarding, so I like to drool over those. Someday. Sigh. I'd love to have a horse. They also have some dog stuff and I have bought some beautiful collars here. They are super nice about special-ordering and I found a ridiculous rhinestone-studded collar for my Gilbert T. Hounddog that I just love. Yeah, my dog is spoiled!! Its pretty kick-back -- across from Belterra on 290 W.
