This Rack location has a decent selection. Most recently went shoe shopping with my boyfriend and he found exactly what he needed. Sometimes the store seems a little messy and chaotic with merchandise not displayed properly. It seems customers and employees just kind of let merchandise get tossed about. Other than that, good place to shop for better quality clothing and accessories at discounted prices.

It's technically floor length, but I'm 5'10" so it stops at the ankle instead of covering my feet. So now the shoes have to be stunning enough that no one will even notice the hemline. I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

I popped in to take a…read morelook about 45 minutes before posted store closing hours, however another shopper and I stayed until 90 minutes post close, due to such amazing support from the sweet owner, Spring and her in house alteration lady, Elizabeth. Spring was so gracious about staying open late to give myself and the other shopper time to try on a variety of items and get measured for fit. Spring is very knowledgeable about her brands and their sizing, and has very high quality offerings including brands from Europe. Thank you Spring for a very fun shopping experience, I will be back the next time I visit Austin.

The boutique carries a mid-price range of clothing, shoes and accessories with some pieces having higher pricing. I did not see any statement pieces as the boutique appears to be a bit conservative in nature. Usually, when I shop at other places, I dread the dressing room because of my curviness (Size 8-10 with large bust & rear). At Bossa Captiva, I have found some of the sexiest clothing that is so comfortable, great quality, and an affordable price. Even more, the service (and occasional Mojito) is unparalleled! I have started to actually try to put together outfits and good ole fast fashion Zara has helped me get into it while not absolutely breaking the bank. This is the first time I've come to this Zara since the remodel and the space feels so much more open now. Almost too open where it feels like you have to wander so far to find anything. It's significantly cleaner and organized than in the past. I got a few things and when I checked out, they have that new autocheckout system where you drop it all in a box and it somehow knows what you got. I'm not the biggest fan of that system, but it's better than waiting in a disastrous line. Shoutout ZARAMAN for having some cool clothes for me. Alright, so it took me about six years to return to this place because I had some major PTSD from…read morean employee (who still happens to work here unfortunately). However, this time was a lot different and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friend's birthday as well as fun items for myself. It seems like the selection has remained the same although Atown is keeping up with current and modern trends. For example, there were a lot of ICE based items tucked away as well as current celebrity crushes who are on everybody's minds. The coolest thing I found was a James Talarico candle but other than that, a lot of the items that were for sale were pretty kitschy and I believe they are the same wholesale items I have seen before. I must shoutout the incredibly helpful service from Audrey who went above and beyond to help me find items for my friend's birthday.
