Second Looks is clearly his baby: he's not just an attentive consultant, responding to your preferences on house, material, and tailoring (thankfully, he is not hesitant to offer his excellent suggestions on fit and styling), he's also a gentleman and a scholar, eager to share his considerable knowledge about the history of menswear, soul music, and rodeo, having been a cowboy himself before working in radio and taking over Second Looks. Michael's selection is fantastic. he showed me suits and separates from Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, Drake's, Canali, and local Austin bespoke tailors Capra and Cavelli. He's got Allen Edmonds shoes and a great collection of belts, which seem to go very quickly. I didn't peruse his selection of casualwear, but it seemed just as well-curated and complete as his formal sections. I walked out with a Golden Fleece jacket and alligator belt having spent about $115--he gave me the educator discount. I couldn't have asked for better value. Having lived in Boston, Cleveland, Charleston, SC, Eugene, OR, Granada, Spain, and Norwich, England, I've never been so impressed by a menswear shop, let alone a secondhand store, or by its owner. We had a horrible experience buying something they didn't have in stock -- and having it shipped to…read morethe store for us to pick up. Lululemon takes its customers for granted -- and that low regard for its customers is reflected in its stock price. FAIL #1: BAD SALES SUPPORT We ordered the item in-store, for delivery to the store. (We live in a high crime area and can't have items shipped home.) The sales lady asked if we wanted a printed receipt and I said, "no, because you have our name and number and so we can track it that way if need be". If only. Apparently NO ONE at Lululemon anywhere is capable of tracking a purchase unless you can give them a purchase order number -- even if (a) you can tell them the time, date, location, and item of purchase and the credit card used for the purchase, and (b) you give them your name and phone number. When I say "no one", I mean literally "not a single employee at Lululemon, including retail sales staff, staff at their 877 customer service number, and the c-suite" is able to track a purchase without a purchase order number, even if you can provide every other imaginable detail about the purchase. Had the salesperson understood this, then presumably she'd have insisted that we take the printed receipt. But she didn't. And had the salesperson told us this, then of course we'd have taken a printed receipt with the purchase order number on it. FAIL #2: NO INITIATIVE OR CUSTOMER ORIENTATION The store never called us when my item arrived in the store -- even though they had our phone number. FAIL #3: NEVER RETURN A VOICEMAIL MESSAGE, IN SPITE OF OUTGOING MESSAGE PROMISING A CALL BACK "WITHIN 24 HOURS" Since they never called us when the item arrived, and since we couldn't no one at Lululemon could track the package and let us know when it arrived in at their store, we called them to see if the item arrived -- so we could pick it up at their store. We called during business hours and they didn't answer -- and their outgoing vmail promised a call back within 24 hours. We didn't receive a call back within 24 hours or within 24 days or ever. _____________________________________________________ So we had to go in to the store learn if our package had arrived -- because (a) they never called us to tell us it had arrived, (b) they never returned our call inquiring about whether it had arrived, and (c) their in-store staff, 877 staff, and c-suite couldn't track the package and let us know if it had arrived.

I'm working at the domain Whole Foods this week/weekend and I was able to go to the TJ Maxx on great Hills Trails after work and wow, they have so much more stuff! I got some great things on sale for six dollars! And I got the matching pants! That store was packed with merchandise. I even bought Christmas presents because they were marked down so much and I like to buy Christmas presents throughout the year so that I don't have to fork out a lot of money in December. It had been years since I stepped into a TJ Maxx and it was nice to get reacquainted. It's almost like a Bed Bath and Beyond / Marshall's / Kohls type of place but seem to have a lot of clothes. And they be shopping in there. Lots of clothes and shoes, some small kitchen appliances, some small furniture offerings, some food, storage options, organizers, luggage, makeup, a lot of stuff here. I didn't find any men's clothing or shoes there - I think Kohls as a better selection IMO, but picked up some good organizational items to use for the kitchen. Be weary of the prices - even though it may seem to best best or lowest price I like to check google for validation. Overall I spent a lot of time browsing but only came out with a couple of items. But I think it is a great option for your essentials, and it is always busy here too.
