IME, it is best to get work done after the hunting rush. Wait times get worse the closer you get to fall. Apr through Jul is usually best. I had a pistol Cajunized in the busy season and it took a little over a month. I took one in during mid-Spring, dropped it off at 11, and had it done same day by 4:30. The DA/SA are so much lighter and crisper. I have Cajunized one myself, so I know what is involved. It is surprisingly hard to find gunsmiths with experience Cajunizing, or with CZs in general. I guess it makes sense, they are far less common than Glocks, M&Ps, etc. I have had smiths tell me they do not work on CZs, or they say "we can do that, we'll figure it out," which is not comforting. Each time I came in, the associate at the counter brought me to talk to a gunsmith. He knew the order the parts go back in, that some jobs like the mag release are easier when everything is already apart, and that you have to remove the front sight pin to replace the barrel bushing. The sear cage is a nightmare to get back together, so I'm happy to outsource it. I had been here a couple of years back after literally running across it by accident and having a few minutes on my hands. Probably when they had just opened and were not quite up to speed as there was not much to see and not much out and really just felt like they were not there yet. Ended up being a short visit nothing purchased. Queue yesterday, GF said she had seen a shop on the way to an appointment with her grown daughter and wanted to check it out. Low and behold it was the same shop, and wow what a difference. They were up and running in full and it was great. Ended up walking out with a new handgun for the GF, one we shot today and she loves it. I ended up putting an NFA item in BATFE jail, they made the process, I had been avoiding because of the difficulties, so easy and satisfying. Now to wait. Will be back and will be buying more from this business. read more

I think those of you who know me already know how I feel about Falling Skies Corp! But, for anyone that doesn't here is my two-cents. I kind of accidentally stumbled into the store the first time by accident and Ryan and Kora acted like they had known me forever. They take all my dumb questions and give me very knowledgeable answers in return without making me feel like an imbecile which I have felt like in many other shops! Just friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable every time you visit. Falling Skies is now my go to shop for any firearms and NFA goodies that I think I need in the safe. Ryan and Kora are GREAT, one of the best experiences at a firearm dealer / outfitter. Other places I have been if you don't know someone or are not LE, the service and attitudes suck. They couldn't do enough to help me and answer my questions based on what I was looking for, didn't make me feel like a moron for asking about stuff. Exceptionally accommodating, very helpful, great selection, professional and prices usually, if not always, beat big box stores. I could not have been more pleased! read more

AVOID! First time as a disabled veteran I was DENIED ACCESS to a GUN STORE because I am immunocompromised.
