I came here based on all the quality reviews of their customers. To be honest, I'm not a very knowledgeable gun enthusiast , so I took what I knew and incorporated their good advice to find the perfect purchase. I decided on a gun that is great for home defense and for concealed carry. The conversation then moves towards ammunition and accessories which they were also very helpful with. However, before I could purchase a firearm, I had to fill out a form online which is for a background check. Sometimes you get clearance pretty quickly within a matter of minutes, but in some cases, such as mine, I had to wait at least a day or more. Nonetheless, I was still able to purchase it and pick it up later. So whether you are a gun enthusiast or a novice like myself, they can walk you through whatever your needs are. Some photos, included for more insight.

Not much inventory but friendly and helpful staff. I'd go here over McBride's or guns warehouse for sure.

Stopped in on Saturday just as they were getting opened and set up, and truly felt that they would have halted their setup just to answer questions. I asked a few questions and worked out a deal on a new SIG M400 and Romeo5 optic. Not once did I feel like I had a dumb question. After the sale we stood around and talked hot rods, which is always a great conversation. Looking forward to going back and picking up another piece for my collection soon. The knowledge and friendly atmosphere made my first visit a great experience.

I went in for my LTC class and arrived a little early, my instructor John was on his lunch break…read morebut let me ask him questions about the class since this was my first time pursing my license. He was very helpful and after he informed me what to do with my gun and ammo and after doing so I left to browse the store while I waited. Unfortunately the store didn't have much for my Springfield XD9 and the prices were very high compared to the gun store I normally go to so I didn't buy anything but the class was why I was there so it wasn't a big deal. Once it was time for the class to start I found myself a seat in the classroom while we waited for more people to join us, once all the people taking the class arrived the instructor introduced himself and after that we got right into it. The class was mostly going over gun laws and gun safety and what to do if you ever have to discharge your firearm for defense and what to do after, all helpful information but after a while it started to blur I feel like it would've helped me a lot if I brought a pen and paper to take notes but I ended up acing the test. The hardest part about the test was the wording of some of the questions so don't over think it if you find yourself taking the test just do your best. After the test I found my instructor who was helping one of the other students check out as he needed ammo, he graded my paper and instructed me to meet him by the range entrance where we watched the class ahead of us and waited for our turn on the range. I highly encourage you to watch if you are taking this class and have one ahead of you, it helped me understand what to do as the store was very loud and I had trouble hearing the instructor at times, I also had to double check information with him so I knew that I was making safe decisions on the range. After the class was done and it was our turn we went in and placed our gun cases and ammo on the bottom shelf and waited for instruction, once we were cleared we made sure that our guns were pointed down range when we opened everything up and once we were cleared to do so we began to load and make ready. We followed his instructions and fired when told, I was nervous before going in but once the shooting started it became very easy and I was a lot calmer, for me I think it was the anticipation and anxiety of making a mistake on the range but I listened and reminded myself gun safety rules in my head and I ended up not having anything to worry about and by the end of it I scored 246 which was well above passing. We met back in the classroom and after we were given our final scores we were told where to go and what to do to apply for our concealed carry license and said our goodbyes and left. It was my understanding that it was John's last day, I wish him well in Arizona and I appreciate having him with us in the classroom and on the range that day. I wish him well. Edit: I also wanted to add, I highly recommend practicing with your firearm before taking the class I had been shooting at 25 yards with my pistol before taking the class and when I went in to shoot I did a lot better than I would have if I had been shooting at closer distances.

The staff here? Super friendly, ridiculously knowledgeable, and so helpful that I'm convinced they could teach a goldfish proper trigger discipline. All good things must come to an end…read more Watermark has raised their FFL fees to $40. Effectively, they're saying "please don't buy guns somewhere else and get them sent here - we don't want that business." Lesson learned - I should have checked before I sent my transfer if their price had increased. I get it. They want to sell their own inventory. That makes sense. But the business that will be lost in people who also needed accessories and ammo is likely significant as they decrease traffic into their store: Every time I went in for a transfer o tried to buy something - even if just a bottle of cleaner - to support them. There are too many other options at $25 or less. If you do want to put hands on a gun before you buy and want to buy local, their selection is huge. They just added a room of additional parts and accessories, which also houses their gunsmithing area. Their gunsmithing is still spectacular, especially older or less popular guns, and their cerakoting service is reasonable and really well done. Net net they're a plus to the gun community in a growing part of the Austin area. They're just not the great deal they were before for transfers and the stress of growth is showing, so I'll have fewer reasons to go back.

During pistol practice, a round became misaligned while loading my magazine. I immediately stopped, raised my hand, and alerted the RSO because I take firearm safety seriously. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, the RSO escalated immediately, told me my gun was "broken," said it was extremely dangerous, and instructed me to leave the firing line and go to a gun smith, without attempting to resolve it or providing any reassurance. You would think that I just armed a bomb. At the front desk, it was later confirmed that the firearm was not damaged and that the round had already fallen free, which made the earlier response feel excessive and confusing. What made this worse was the owner's public response to my Google review, which was dismissive, condescending and tried to gaslight the situation, instead of acknowledging how intimidating the situation was, the response reframed my experience as something I should be "pleased" about and implied incompetence on my part. He also tried to say the RSO was watching over 9 lanes with 18 people but there were only 2 other people there shooting in the entire range. Overall it was a really terrible experience and upon checking others reviews It seems the owner has a pattern of responding defensively. I would not recommend this range unless you are okay being talked down to and treated as incompetent. It did not feel women friendly and I will be making sure I take all my friends to any other local range. No one should be punished for trying to learn and asking for help.

We were pleased in our child was in magic land, which is where she should be at Christmas time. The reason I'm giving Bass Pro shops four stars is because the last time I was here I brought my gun in for service and their method is that the girls in front have to disarm the gun before you can walk into the store. So even though my six shooter was not loaded, they had to look it over and in doing so they took it apart and bent the spring. They had to send my gun into Ruger to get it repaired-- and they did so. They did not try to pass off responsibility. They were very sorry that they broke my beautiful bear cat six shooter. But the fact is they did and it brought me discomfort. I will be back here to shop, but I will never bring my gun here for any reason whatsoever. As for value, some of the products are overpriced and some aren't. Just pay attention. They do have some unique items that you probably won't find anywhere else in this area. I do recommend the store, but I don't recommend getting your gun serviced here.
