Regrettably Robar has gone out of business. After much research I brought my beloved Sig P220 slide to ATX Armory to be Ceracoated. I supplied a new set of night sights to be installed as well. This little shop has a wonderful "mom and pop" feel to it. Super friendly and efficient drop off. Called me a few days earlier than scheduled to let me know the job was finished. The results exceeded my expectations. Flawless new finish applied. Breechblock roll pins installed masterfully. Sights mounted with care and precision. Work performed on time, without excuses or disappointment. Very reasonably priced. I am very impressed and I am now a customer for life! Highest recommendation!! Thank you ATX Amory!!

All good things must come to an end…read more Watermark has raised their FFL fees to $40. Effectively, they're saying "please don't buy guns somewhere else and get them sent here - we don't want that business." Lesson learned - I should have checked before I sent my transfer if their price had increased. I get it. They want to sell their own inventory. That makes sense. But the business that will be lost in people who also needed accessories and ammo is likely significant as they decrease traffic into their store: Every time I went in for a transfer o tried to buy something - even if just a bottle of cleaner - to support them. There are too many other options at $25 or less. If you do want to put hands on a gun before you buy and want to buy local, their selection is huge. They just added a room of additional parts and accessories, which also houses their gunsmithing area. Their gunsmithing is still spectacular, especially older or less popular guns, and their cerakoting service is reasonable and really well done. Net net they're a plus to the gun community in a growing part of the Austin area. They're just not the great deal they were before for transfers and the stress of growth is showing, so I'll have fewer reasons to go back.

I had a better trigger installed on my M&P9 pistol. Loved the results from the job they did. So, I…read moredropped off the the pistol and had new sights installed. After roughly 4.5 magazines, I noticed my rear sight had dramatically shifted to one side. It actually moves freely from 1 side to the other. Meaning either the sold me the wrong sight and installed it or the gunsmith over filed it. Waited a couple months to bring it in because I new it was most likely not an easy fix. I was told that they no longer have a gunsmith. The answer I got was, I can give you some lock tight. I was asked if it was installed there, valid question. But to have such a good rating and not honor workmanship delivered from your shop. Unprofessional and shows a complete lack of accountability. You are right to not be looking for a new gunsmith, stick to sales.
