My husband purchased his first gun after his gun fanatic coworkers took him to a range out in Lockhart to go shooting during SXSW. Afterwards, he pulled the trigger (ha!) on his own purchase and had the purchase for item shipped to this place of business, where they were very helpful and efficient in getting his delivery worked on, background check and more done in a swift and easy transaction. I came along to peruse and it can be daunting since I have not been around guns before but the folks that work the counter were extremely welcoming. I got to check out what they had on shelves, behind the cases, and even offered me a flamethrower to examine and hold. Not a good purchase these days with gas being $4! I also inquired on the fun hello Kitty decal when we first rolled up with made my husband laugh when we parked up front and I pointed it out. I made sure to ask the associates what was the story behind that and they regaled me with the tale. :) Very Texan but good folks. Also very knowledgeable about outdoor gun ranges that we would be interested in if we wanted to go somewhere up north and giving up insider tips as newbies to the scene. :) Very impressed and definitely great in service. read more

A lot of 1 star reviews on here I see are talking about this business scamming buyers who are trying to buy guns from them online. They do NOT sell online. You have to purchase in-store and most of the people are going to a fraudulent site and then blaming MGH. Go on their website, they clearly state this (mygunswarehouse.com). Bought a gun here in 2020 and it was an easy process and the staff was great. A business shouldn't suffer from bad reviews because the customer was too stupid to check which website they were buying from. Scroll to the bottom of their website and you'll see that it's true. Unless you really had a bad experience here, please consider deleting your 1 star review if you went to a scam site. And no, I do not work here but this is a solid store with good people. read more

This was one of the best purchasing experiences I've ever had in a gun store. Their selection and prices beat all the other stores in about a 100 mile area, so it was worth the drive. I called ahead to confirm stock and they answered the phone quickly and they were helpful and knowledgeable. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly and treated better than any other gun shop I've ever been in - and that's saying a lot as a woman in a male dominated situation. They helped find the accessories I needed, were super efficient with the background check, and had me out the door in record time, and they're really nice guys. Talk about a scam! I transferred money to them for a new handgun. I never received the gun, my money was taken, and they stopped responding to me. I feel very foolish for having sent them money. Please don't do an online purchase from them unless you want to be stolen from. the Zelle names involved in the transfer were Vilma and Cynthia. Sadly, because this involved a fraudulent money transfer, the FBI are now involved. And I was officially scammed by them. Please don't get scammed the way I did. read more

The inventory issues I initially experienced have since ended and were due to the pandemic. The store we extremely well-stocked, with a good assortment of ammo. The staff was busy, but no customers were neglected. I had a few questions about a shotgun I was considering, got a full demo and rundown from one of the staff that owns one. Staff is very rude. Did a background check and it went through. Had to wait 4 weeks for them to get the gun i wanted. By the time they recieved the gun i wanted my 30 day grace period expired by 3 days so i had to do another background check. So i did and it got delayed. The sales clerk said i could put a down payment to hold the gun and as i was in the process a older gentleman said i couldnt since my background was delayed. I went down the road to academy did a background check and got cleared in 30 mins and also got the same glock 19 gen 4 for 100 cheaper. This place is a rip off. Stay away. Staff are very rude as well and i wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to have to deal with these peple to get ripped off. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Upon my first visit to the store, they took the time to talk me through the purchasing process, and were very knowledgeable. I left without purchasing. Very positive first experience! As anyone who has shopped around several gun stores knows, you'll eventually experience a few abrasive personalities behind some store counters. Not the case with the staff here; everyone was pleasant and willing to answer whatever questions you had. Stopped in looking for a two-point sling setup and they had everything I needed from the M-Lok QD adapter and QD sling. The guy helping me even went out of his way to set it all up for me in-store, which was nice. I decided to browse a bit further and noticed the pricing was very competitive on most of the items in the displays. And on that note, there are a lot of firearms available given the overall footprint of the store. One thing to be aware of is that there is a 3% charge if you choose to use a credit card. I get why they feel inclined to do it, but you will want to factor that into the cost of your purchase if you're looking for those credit card rewards points. read more

I got to the store right at closing time. Staff was very welcoming and let me in. I traded my gun for a new one. Trade value was fair, considering it was an m&p9. Walked out of there with a new glock 19 gen 4 in less than 20 minutes. Prices were very competitive. I would definitely buy there again. read more
