Let me start off by saying I am very meticulous when it comes to my firearms. For decades I was a loyal customer of Robbie Barrkman and his Robar NP3 metal coating. Regrettably Robar has gone out of business. After much research I brought my beloved Sig P220 slide to ATX Armory to be Ceracoated. I supplied a new set of night sights to be installed as well. This little shop has a wonderful "mom and pop" feel to it. Super friendly and efficient drop off. Called me a few days earlier than scheduled to let me know the job was finished. I was not impressed. the cerakote on my rifle is chipping in places. sounds like prep work was not done correctly. They charged me alot and had my gun for weeks. Now my several thousand dollar gun looks terrible. i would recommend staying away. read more

Very impressed with the guys at ATX. They are one of the very few certified Cerakote applicators in the entire Austin area. The attention to detail was quite evident with the finished product. Had a fire arm shipped to this business and will be the last time. I work 15 minutes from this business and thought it would be quick and easy. Forget trying to call them they will not answer or reply back from email. So I had some extra time stopped by and asked if they had got my firearm in. With a blank dull reply they acted like they never got any shipments that day. The place I had orders they didn't send tracking either. She mentioned that UPS shows up around 11 every day. This was 2 o'clock. So I get on the phone with the company I ordered it thru and they said it was delivered. Humm that's strange I was just at the gun shop they didn't have it. Head back over to ATX shop and give her the details. Customers or friends not sure who was drinking beer in the lobby. Odd but whatever. She goes oh look the box is right here. I know times are different but at least pick up the phone and answer emails. I will not be returning here not that they have anything to purchase any way. Best of luck. read more

Do not recommend. High prices, unprofessional staff. Sat on my tax stamp for three weeks and I had to call and track it down. I was never notified. Lots of places (probably all) are providing better services for less money. read more

Update: ATX Armory now charges $25 for FFL transfers, so they aren't the cheapest game in town anymore. On the upside, they've started offering discounts on various items (handguards, cerakote services) so it probably balances out. read more

Visited this store for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. The man that helped me took his time to explain the product offerings. I was shopping for a trigger for a project I am working on and he told me the benfits of the different models and even let me test them. Looking around it was apparent that they do quality work and they were more than happy to hand the different items to check out and feel for myself. Clean store that is well lit. A bit hard to find but not too bad. I will definitely be returning and visiting these guys. read more
