Very disappointed. I was excited to take my friends to a new range. I was at the front of the line and Andrew P. completely ignored my group. We waited patiently and when he started helping someone behind us I confronted him. I said "we still haven't been helped." He replied "that's what happens when you're on the phone." A special kudos and thanks to the range officer, I did not catch his name, he helped me with a few very cool suggestions and I felt like it was so informative and useful for me personally. By far my favorite place to get some good ol' range therapy. Nothing melts stress away quite like sending a few rounds downrange and pretending the target is all your responsibilities. The staff here? Super friendly, ridiculously knowledgeable, and so helpful that I'm convinced they could teach a goldfish proper trigger discipline. I walked in feeling like John Wick's awkward cousin and left feeling at least slightly dangerous in a totally responsible way. I've been wanting to take lessons, or learn about guns, the whole thing. I have gone to a shooting range in another state. So I had a little knowledge. This place is super clean, very organized, with a beautiful display on the walls and in glass cases. I wanted to get some information about taking classes, and learning from the ground up. Unfortunately my job is getting in the way of my life. I only have Mondays off, and their classes are Wednesday and Thursday mornings. If my schedule changes, I will keep this place in mind. Do not go here. Their range ammo is reloads and completely locked up my Sig Legion. When I addressed the reload issue to the manager, his response was "oh well". Now I have to take my gun to an armorer to get their garbage rounds out. They wouldn't even buy back their unused ammo. I had only used a small portion when I locked my gun up. Figures, they sucker you into garbage ammo, they don't want it back. Find another range that gives a crap about people. Then wave at this dump as you drive by to it. I expected more than call the ammo company. Worst experience in 30 years of shooting at ranges. read more

I went in for my LTC class and arrived a little early, my instructor John was on his lunch break but let me ask him questions about the class since this was my first time pursing my license. He was very helpful and after he informed me what to do with my gun and ammo and after doing so I left to browse the store while I waited. Unfortunately the store didn't have much for my Springfield XD9 and the prices were very high compared to the gun store I normally go to so I didn't buy anything but the class was why I was there so it wasn't a big deal. Once it was time for the class to start I found myself a seat in the classroom while we waited for more people to join us, once all the people taking the class arrived the instructor introduced himself and after that we got right into it. The class was mostly going over gun laws and gun safety and what to do if you ever have to discharge your firearm for defense and what to do after, all helpful information but after a while it started to blur I feel like it would've helped me a lot if I brought a pen and paper to take notes but I ended up acing the test. The hardest part about the test was the wording of some of the questions so don't over think it if you find yourself taking the test just do your best. After the test I found my instructor who was helping one of the other students check out as he needed ammo, he graded my paper and instructed me to meet him by the range entrance where we watched the class ahead of us and waited for our turn on the range. I highly encourage you to watch if you are taking this class and have one ahead of you, it helped me understand what to do as the store was very loud and I had trouble hearing the instructor at times, I also had to double check information with him so I knew that I was making safe decisions on the range. After the class was done and it was our turn we went in and placed our gun cases and ammo on the bottom shelf and waited for instruction, once we were cleared we made sure that our guns were pointed down range when we opened everything up and once we were cleared to do so we began to load and make ready. We followed his instructions and fired when told, I was nervous before going in but once the shooting started it became very easy and I was a lot calmer, for me I think it was the anticipation and anxiety of making a mistake on the range but I listened and reminded myself gun safety rules in my head and I ended up not having anything to worry about and by the end of it I scored 246 which was well above passing. We met back in the classroom and after we were given our final scores we were told where to go and what to do to apply for our concealed carry license and said our goodbyes and left. It was my understanding that it was John's last day, I wish him well in Arizona and I appreciate having him with us in the classroom and on the range that day. I wish him well. Edit: I also wanted to add, I highly recommend practicing with your firearm before taking the class I had been shooting at 25 yards with my pistol before taking the class and when I went in to shoot I did a lot better than I would have if I had been shooting at closer distances. read more

This range is such a joke I'm actually amazed at what happened today, I legitimately thought I was being punked. Was removed from the range today for "shooting too fast" by some fruitcake staring at me through the window like a stalker, cupcake thinks he's a real tough guy. Shot one magazine and was done. Didn't even say anything to me as a I walked out the door, which is fine I knew he didn't have the balls to explain to me why his panties were all tied up anyway. Do yourself a favor and go south to the Range at Austin or an outdoor range by Lakeway where its ran by folks who actually shoot their firearms and don't safe queen it up like a wanna be Instagram famous guntuber. *Updated review*--My husband and I went in on "Black Friday" so we could get a great sale deal he saw online for a gun I wanted to purchase! It was my FIRST gun (usually shot with my husband's guns). It was one I had tried out on the range previously (*Thanks again to Ron for the suggestion, would have have never had tried this one if for not his recommendation). This time, we were pleasantly helped by Danny! He walked me threw the background check (which was seamless) and he was multi-tasking, as waiting for approval on another couple, he helped us too. He suggested some good ear protection (which was also on sale). I purchased that and a nice bag (also on sale) to go with my new purchase. He was so nice (*AND put up with my husband's sense of humor--THANK YOU...LOL!)!! He walked us thru the process, and made sure all the serial numbers matched before we completed the transaction. I'll start by saying, for the most part, I've had good experiences at this specific store. I've purchased firearms, ammo, and have come in for several 'range days' here. However, the last experience was enough for me to turn from five stars to two stars. I purchased a firearm online and requested it be delivered to the store. The notification process was pretty standard, a few emails keeping me up to date. Once the firearm arrived, I waited one day then went in to pick it up. Suzy helped me with my order. Suzy was great and by no means does this review reflect on her. Suzy grabbed my purchased firearm, confirmed I paid, and started the process. After waiting for one hour, Suzy told me there was a glitch in the software that was preventing her from finding my order online in the internal portal. She told me she marked it as urgent and that they'll notify me when it's available. Once again, Suzy was great, however, the overall customer experience was poor. I paid online, confirmed I was the purchaser, then waited one hour and was told to come back because the internal software had a specific issue with my purchase. I'll update this review if my experience changes but as of right now, it's two stars. read more

I was charged $100 ta Range for a firearm's transfer! This is outrageous and abusive considering I already pay a monthly fee for their membership. They definitely lost my subscription! They should be ashamed for these kind of charges since there are other locations in the area charging $30 to $50 transfer fees. Whether its picking up extra ammo or purchasing a new firearm, Range USA and their staff always provide the best service!

I have been a member of Range USA since they opened and I really enjoy this club. The range is clean and well lit. The AC and air filtration work great. They have two sets of bays designed for rifle and one for pistol and you can pretty much get what you want. I shoot pistol and the last thing I need is someone shooting .308 cal right next to me. The membership is competitive with other ranges and I like that I can bring a non-member with me for free and share a lane. I can also try any of the rental guns for no charge and if I have my own ammo, there is no charge for this either. Most ranges require you to buy their ammo to use their guns. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I try to shoot during the week when it is not as crowded. The weekends can get real busy and you may have to wait to shoot. I have been to LoneStar Academy, Shady Oaks, Reds and Mountain Creek and this is one of the better indoor ranges. Note that their range is only 25 yards long, so you may want to use outdoors for long guns to be really worthwhile. LoneStar is great for outdoor. They do not allow shotguns nor for draw from Holster. read more

A place to spend $100/hr. Clean, well laid out facility that's fine for handguns, but no rifles should come. It's 25 yards and rifles and pistols are in lanes right next to one another- so you'll be surprised at the sound of a huge rifle. Customer service on site is excellent, but through corporate it falls sharply. I wrote with a billing question and received a response saying essentially that "you're wrong, we're right and feel free to never visit again". read more

This is the worst range I've ever been to. Let me explain. I took my wife here, since it seemed nice and expensive and I figured it would be a good way to get her to like shooting. First, we got there at 6:40pm and there were 2 people in front of us. But checking in took 20 minutes, somehow. We rented a lane and an extra firearm for an hour. Second, we go in and start shooting, and within 5 minutes the rangemaster announces that last reload is in 25 minutes because there's some class scheduled. I told him we just got here and rented the lane for an hour. His answer - when you're done, take it up with the front desk. Third, another 5 minutes later the fire alarm goes off. The rangemaster tells us to hold our fire, checks with the rangemaster in the neighboring room, and comes back to announce that someone SHOT THE SPRINKLERS overhead and now the fire alarm can't be disabled, so they have to close the range for the day. Fourth, we got out (after only 10 minutes, out of the hour we paid for), and asked for a partial refund, but the front desk guy said he can't issue refunds and I have to register on their website and open a support ticket there. Fifth, I registered on the website and opened a support ticket. At first they refused to issue a refund claiming that if I schedule a course I have to reschedule a day in advance (but this was not a course, and I didn't reschedule anything). And then they claimed if I purchased something in-store, then only the store can issue refunds. At this point I just filed a dispute through the credit card company and a complaint with the BBB. So let's summarize: * This is the most expensive range in town. * The rangemasters are supposed to ensure safety, but on their watch, someone managed to aim the firearm up and shoot the sprinklers behind them. * They chase people out after 10 minutes without giving them the full hour that was paid for. * They do everything in their power, including using dishonesty, to avoid paying refunds that are obviously due. Do you still want to go to a range like that? Me neither. read more
