Went for the weekend and had a blast! It's an outdoor range with multiple areas to shoot. When walking into the building you are instructed to watch a first timers video. It's about 2 mins tops , you then pay for yourself and whatever targets you pick. It's not expensive at all and you can stay all day for the same flat fee. Would definitely go again.

Love this place! Outdoors, good selection on distance. 15/20 min between each cease fire. Skeet shooting is a must if you haven't done this. The catch: You will need to buy a one time $20 life time membership. $20 entrance fee each time.

A bit of a drive in the country. Full Range and Distance. Lighted, open everyday 365 Days! Has ammo to shoot at the range. Safety is a key focus. Rental guns available. Good way for new or old shooters to get some time on rifles or pistols. personal protection is available for rent or buy. Covered shooting area for those hot days and light rain. Lots of parking.

This is now my go to range. My friend and I came out here to shoot and had fell in love with this place. It's your typical out door range setup, with rifle and pistol lanes with wooden backstops that you can thumbtack your targets to. (Tacks provided)They call cease fire every 20 minutes so you can replace your targets. They lay down the range rules, which takes a minute to get down but the staff walks you through it. Such has you can't leave until the range goes hot again. Also it's $20 to shoot all day! We will definitely be back.

    100 yard day.

Best shooting range in the Centex area! The booths are well kept & target backing boards changed frequently. Most importantly to me - Safety is #1 practiced here never seen an "accident". I'll be coming back every weekend!

No FMJ allowed for imaginary "safety reasons" which would force you to purchase unnecessarily expensive ammunition.

During pistol practice, a round became misaligned while loading my magazine. I immediately stopped, raised my hand, and alerted the RSO because I take firearm safety seriously. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, the RSO escalated immediately, told me my gun was "broken," said it was extremely dangerous, and instructed me to leave the firing line and go to a gun smith, without attempting to resolve it or providing any reassurance. You would think that I just armed a bomb. At the front desk, it was later confirmed that the firearm was not damaged and that the round had already fallen free, which made the earlier response feel excessive and confusing. What made this worse was the owner's public response to my Google review, which was dismissive, condescending and tried to gaslight the situation, instead of acknowledging how intimidating the situation was, the response reframed my experience as something I should be "pleased" about and implied incompetence on my part. He also tried to say the RSO was watching over 9 lanes with 18 people but there were only 2 other people there shooting in the entire range. Overall it was a really terrible experience and upon checking others reviews It seems the owner has a pattern of responding defensively. I would not recommend this range unless you are okay being talked down to and treated as incompetent. It did not feel women friendly and I will be making sure I take all my friends to any other local range. No one should be punished for trying to learn and asking for help.

I went in for my LTC class and arrived a little early, my instructor John was on his lunch break…read morebut let me ask him questions about the class since this was my first time pursing my license. He was very helpful and after he informed me what to do with my gun and ammo and after doing so I left to browse the store while I waited. Unfortunately the store didn't have much for my Springfield XD9 and the prices were very high compared to the gun store I normally go to so I didn't buy anything but the class was why I was there so it wasn't a big deal. Once it was time for the class to start I found myself a seat in the classroom while we waited for more people to join us, once all the people taking the class arrived the instructor introduced himself and after that we got right into it. The class was mostly going over gun laws and gun safety and what to do if you ever have to discharge your firearm for defense and what to do after, all helpful information but after a while it started to blur I feel like it would've helped me a lot if I brought a pen and paper to take notes but I ended up acing the test. The hardest part about the test was the wording of some of the questions so don't over think it if you find yourself taking the test just do your best. After the test I found my instructor who was helping one of the other students check out as he needed ammo, he graded my paper and instructed me to meet him by the range entrance where we watched the class ahead of us and waited for our turn on the range. I highly encourage you to watch if you are taking this class and have one ahead of you, it helped me understand what to do as the store was very loud and I had trouble hearing the instructor at times, I also had to double check information with him so I knew that I was making safe decisions on the range. After the class was done and it was our turn we went in and placed our gun cases and ammo on the bottom shelf and waited for instruction, once we were cleared we made sure that our guns were pointed down range when we opened everything up and once we were cleared to do so we began to load and make ready. We followed his instructions and fired when told, I was nervous before going in but once the shooting started it became very easy and I was a lot calmer, for me I think it was the anticipation and anxiety of making a mistake on the range but I listened and reminded myself gun safety rules in my head and I ended up not having anything to worry about and by the end of it I scored 246 which was well above passing. We met back in the classroom and after we were given our final scores we were told where to go and what to do to apply for our concealed carry license and said our goodbyes and left. It was my understanding that it was John's last day, I wish him well in Arizona and I appreciate having him with us in the classroom and on the range that day. I wish him well. Edit: I also wanted to add, I highly recommend practicing with your firearm before taking the class I had been shooting at 25 yards with my pistol before taking the class and when I went in to shoot I did a lot better than I would have if I had been shooting at closer distances.

The country-drive to and from here is beautiful. It's quintessential Texas Hill Country! So when I say hidden, I mean, Jeff or one of his assistants must meet you at the front gate next to FM 1431. From there you'll be escorted up to the training area. You just have to follow Jeff/his assistant up the fire road leading to the grounds. When we met up with him he was driving his UTV. I suggest you drive a vehicle with decent ground clearance on the day of. No need for a 12" suspension lift or anything crazy like that, just ensure you're not driving a low slung vehicle like a sports car during your visit, LOL! Note: The ranch (actually a few ranches) shares a front gate with Hidden Falls Adventure Park. When you arrive at the grounds you'll notice it's next to Jeff's residence. How awesome is that?! Wake up, pour some coffee in a sippy cup, hop on the UTV and shoot a few rounds at some silhouettes or steel before the rooster even sounds the alarm! Wooohoo! I'm not a jealous kind of guy but... Anyhow, yes, Jeff's training was spot on! I won't go into the details. No spoiler alerts here. But like most valuable training you must first learn the basics and fundamentals before the more advanced techniques can be explored. Think of firearms training like a house. If the foundation is less than sturdy, no matter how great the house looks above the foundation, once some rockin' begins, the house will falter. So get the fundamentals mastered to avoid faltering. Besides firearms instruction, he can provide a Texas DPS accredited Texas LTC course. I already had my LTC but my much better half returned to complete the LTC program soon after. BTW: The safety brief and lunch breaks are held in his air conditioned living-room so please be southern-comfort mannered. =) Jeff is a great and patient instructor. That is important especially because folks learn at different paces. Some learn slower than others but that's ok. Heck, I didn't know I was tying my shoelaces incorrectly until I was in my early 30's! No wonder my knots would always come loose, LOL! Have fun y'all but most importantly, be safe!i
