What an absolute breath of fresh air this range was! It is an honest, exceptional range that has all you will ever need. Great, simple check in experience at a very appropriate cost too. I'll leave the best for last. The range officer! Wish I could remember his name. A down to earth, friendly and respectful guy that really upped the whole experience. Great chatting with him too, a wealth of knowledge. I am so sick to death of some other local ranges that see fit to employ range officers that can only be described as moronic mouth breathers. They look down at you, treat you poorly and think they are gods gift to the shooting world. Not to mention the way they present themselves. Pull your fucking pants up for crying out loud. Real slobs with a gun!!! Thank you Lonestar for bringing back the decent into the whole experience. Highly recommended and I will be back many times!

100 yard rifle bench, and "sight-in" 25 yard range farther down.

Can't beat the price and the 1 on 1 help from Tony and his Boonie hat. The range could use some more shade in the TX heat, or maybe even some garage wall mount fans to cool folks off in the summer. I'm sure some 2A folks would volunteer to make it happen. I would go here rather than the fancy ranges in south ATX for an authentic Texas gun range experience, with the heat and free environment!

Never in my 36 years of life have I ever felt this comfortable at a shooting range. This is my first outdoor range and I definitely prefer it. The instructor, Hawk, was so welcoming and encouraging and I felt so incredibly safe. He makes you feel like family! The whole staff outside was so nice and really gave us the Texas welcome. We will definitely be back again. Next time, I'll be back with my guns. 10/10 would recommend. The owner, Tony, even came out to help us learn where we needed to adjust to shoot more effectively. We also got to hear their background stories too. You truly feel comfortable and at ease and there is no judgment, just education and support.

Tony is an AMAZING instructor! Book a session w him today!

Is this a good place to learn how to shoot for the very first time? I personally have never used any gun/rifle/firearm before, but I am interested in trying it out in a safe and controlled environment.

This is a fantastic range for new shooters, many of the RSOs are former military/LE, and have a wealth of knowledge. The range is well maintained, and operated safely. One thing to note, they do not offer rentals, so you will need to bring your own… Read more

I went in for my LTC class and arrived a little early, my instructor John was on his lunch break…read morebut let me ask him questions about the class since this was my first time pursing my license. He was very helpful and after he informed me what to do with my gun and ammo and after doing so I left to browse the store while I waited. Unfortunately the store didn't have much for my Springfield XD9 and the prices were very high compared to the gun store I normally go to so I didn't buy anything but the class was why I was there so it wasn't a big deal. Once it was time for the class to start I found myself a seat in the classroom while we waited for more people to join us, once all the people taking the class arrived the instructor introduced himself and after that we got right into it. The class was mostly going over gun laws and gun safety and what to do if you ever have to discharge your firearm for defense and what to do after, all helpful information but after a while it started to blur I feel like it would've helped me a lot if I brought a pen and paper to take notes but I ended up acing the test. The hardest part about the test was the wording of some of the questions so don't over think it if you find yourself taking the test just do your best. After the test I found my instructor who was helping one of the other students check out as he needed ammo, he graded my paper and instructed me to meet him by the range entrance where we watched the class ahead of us and waited for our turn on the range. I highly encourage you to watch if you are taking this class and have one ahead of you, it helped me understand what to do as the store was very loud and I had trouble hearing the instructor at times, I also had to double check information with him so I knew that I was making safe decisions on the range. After the class was done and it was our turn we went in and placed our gun cases and ammo on the bottom shelf and waited for instruction, once we were cleared we made sure that our guns were pointed down range when we opened everything up and once we were cleared to do so we began to load and make ready. We followed his instructions and fired when told, I was nervous before going in but once the shooting started it became very easy and I was a lot calmer, for me I think it was the anticipation and anxiety of making a mistake on the range but I listened and reminded myself gun safety rules in my head and I ended up not having anything to worry about and by the end of it I scored 246 which was well above passing. We met back in the classroom and after we were given our final scores we were told where to go and what to do to apply for our concealed carry license and said our goodbyes and left. It was my understanding that it was John's last day, I wish him well in Arizona and I appreciate having him with us in the classroom and on the range that day. I wish him well. Edit: I also wanted to add, I highly recommend practicing with your firearm before taking the class I had been shooting at 25 yards with my pistol before taking the class and when I went in to shoot I did a lot better than I would have if I had been shooting at closer distances.

By far my favorite place to get some good ol' range therapy. Nothing melts stress away quite like…read moresending a few rounds downrange and pretending the target is all your responsibilities. The staff here? Super friendly, ridiculously knowledgeable, and so helpful that I'm convinced they could teach a goldfish proper trigger discipline. I walked in feeling like John Wick's awkward cousin and left feeling at least slightly dangerous in a totally responsible way. If you need stress relief, great service, or just want to feel cooler than you actually are, this is the place. Highly recommend!

While they updated the calendar for New Years Day to indicate being closed, they made no such updates for New Years Eve, indicating they were open until 7P AND that they had an all day special from 9-5 for shotgun shooting discounts. When I showed up at 4P for a standard indoor lane I was told they closed at 4. No notice to paying members, no updates to the calendar for NYE (31st). This is compounded by new, untrained staff with inconsistent policies: some indicating their new electronic waiver (signed when you join, and required for guests) had to be filled out each visit; others never even nothing to ask (knowing members had already signed). It's still a great place, and the staff are both friendly and helpful. It's still a good value. It's just starting that "we're not new anymore, how much less can we get away with and people will still pay for" phase. That's disappointing... but not unexpected.

They are amazing and I totally recommend that you try one if you ever get a chance. Hand made and so nice in your hands. They are super accurate. So I purchased the guns directly from them and had they shipped to a dealer locally. The process was so nice. Their customer service is top notch. They always help you out. I was able to get the handgun at a discount because of my job which was amazing. Their handguns are at a premium cost due to the fact that they are of the highest quality and hand made. It really reflects on it when you use them. They are First Responder friendly and made in America. I can't say enough of how great their weapons are and the quality that they promote. I love both the handguns that I got and they are worth every penny I spent on them. So reliable and accurate.
