Target practice

The range is great! Well maintained, efficient Range Safety Officers, and a wide variety of firearms to try out. The process to sign in is easy too. My only complaint is that it is excessively hot in the range room. No drinks are allowed inside, so hydrate before you go in. On a hot summer day it's brutal. A couple of strong fans would help! The store is great too. Awesome staff helped me through the purchase process.

Long gun lane - A woman with curly blonde hair, dressed in a black top and maroon pants, is at an indoor shooting range, aiming a firearm downrange. An instructor, wearing a maroon shirt and jeans, stands close behind her, providing guidance. Both individuals are wearing hearing protection. The shooting range features a metallic and concrete interior with shooting stalls, a target area in the distance, and equipment on the side.

Reds is my favorite indoor shooting range. It came in clutch during the pandemic when they were open and allowed groups to come in a shoot. They have about 16 lanes - 8 for handguns and 8 for long guns (shotguns, rifles, etc). We went as a group today and we're able to reserve both types of lanes and switch back and forth, unlike other indoor ranges that are more restrictive. The range officer and person at the check in counter were friendly and helpful. Reds isn't a fancy, elegant indoor shooting range. It's there to get the job done and take photos outside of the building. The employees are helpful if you're a first time shooter or someone who would like to purchase a firearm and other items. Pro Tips: - If you are firing shotguns, only slugs are allowed - you can only hit equipment up to 3 times before being asked to leave (I saw someone shooting a rifle who kept accidentally hitting the arm of the target holder) - Mondays are Ladies Days - Children under 18 shoot for free, and there is a discount for couples (male & female)

My dog at Bass Pro Georgetown, looking at the ammo we were going to buy at Red's.

Been going to Reds for years since they were down at Oak Hill. Lord knows the thousands of dollars I've spent there. In all those years, decades really, if I wasn't shooting, but shopping, I'd bring my dog. He isn't large, a beagle, and never aggressive as he stays by my side 24-7. I've never been refused entry with him. H‑E‑B, Central Market, and every gun store in Austin, to include McBrides and Blackjack Guns, Sportsman's Finest, and all the gun stores. He was with me when I went there last time and bought a hi-power clone $70 over retail. I drove to Red's from Bee Cave, and my son and I walked in like normal. No sign on the door but the guy inside said the dog had to go. So my business goes with it. There's simply too many places I can spend my money. See, he is more than a dog; he was gifted to me by a dear friend after my wife of 25 years died. He never left my side when my disabilities accumulated from 10 years as a paratrooper caused me to be a complete cripple for two years before the VA gave me some replacement parts and corrective surgeries. I'm a 100% disabled veteran still. So generally I take him everywhere I go. Red's personnel played with him last time so I'm puzzled at the change in policy. But change it has. I'm no longer welcome.

My shooting! - A paper shooting target featuring concentric scoring rings from 7 to 9 and a central 'X' is displayed on a granite countertop at Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville, Texas. The target has multiple bullet holes, indicating recent shooting practice. Nearby, a digital device and a pen are visible, and the target is labeled for Monday Ladies' Day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The business details, including address and contact number, are printed on the target, which is used for indoor firearm training and practice.

I went in for my LTC class and arrived a little early, my instructor John was on his lunch break…read morebut let me ask him questions about the class since this was my first time pursing my license. He was very helpful and after he informed me what to do with my gun and ammo and after doing so I left to browse the store while I waited. Unfortunately the store didn't have much for my Springfield XD9 and the prices were very high compared to the gun store I normally go to so I didn't buy anything but the class was why I was there so it wasn't a big deal. Once it was time for the class to start I found myself a seat in the classroom while we waited for more people to join us, once all the people taking the class arrived the instructor introduced himself and after that we got right into it. The class was mostly going over gun laws and gun safety and what to do if you ever have to discharge your firearm for defense and what to do after, all helpful information but after a while it started to blur I feel like it would've helped me a lot if I brought a pen and paper to take notes but I ended up acing the test. The hardest part about the test was the wording of some of the questions so don't over think it if you find yourself taking the test just do your best. After the test I found my instructor who was helping one of the other students check out as he needed ammo, he graded my paper and instructed me to meet him by the range entrance where we watched the class ahead of us and waited for our turn on the range. I highly encourage you to watch if you are taking this class and have one ahead of you, it helped me understand what to do as the store was very loud and I had trouble hearing the instructor at times, I also had to double check information with him so I knew that I was making safe decisions on the range. After the class was done and it was our turn we went in and placed our gun cases and ammo on the bottom shelf and waited for instruction, once we were cleared we made sure that our guns were pointed down range when we opened everything up and once we were cleared to do so we began to load and make ready. We followed his instructions and fired when told, I was nervous before going in but once the shooting started it became very easy and I was a lot calmer, for me I think it was the anticipation and anxiety of making a mistake on the range but I listened and reminded myself gun safety rules in my head and I ended up not having anything to worry about and by the end of it I scored 246 which was well above passing. We met back in the classroom and after we were given our final scores we were told where to go and what to do to apply for our concealed carry license and said our goodbyes and left. It was my understanding that it was John's last day, I wish him well in Arizona and I appreciate having him with us in the classroom and on the range that day. I wish him well. Edit: I also wanted to add, I highly recommend practicing with your firearm before taking the class I had been shooting at 25 yards with my pistol before taking the class and when I went in to shoot I did a lot better than I would have if I had been shooting at closer distances.

Chaz disassembled the gun, gave it a thorough inspection, and cleaned it top to bottom ensuring it was safe to operate again. The action was free of rust and cycled smooth as butter. While the gun was in overall good shape before, it was glowing after Chaz worked on it. The Experience: Chaz provided excellent customer service from the first moment of contact. I filled out a service request form on his website and he called me within 24 hours to confirm and set up a time to drop off the twelvette. Drop off was quick and easy with Chaz discussing how he would service the gun in detail. As he worked on the gun, he would text me pictures sharing his progress through completion. Turnaround was about 1 week (give or take). Overall: Chaz is clearly passionate about his work which shows in his results and positive attitude. He is great to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing service on their firearm(s).

I asked if they could simply allow me to exchange it for other merchandise, but again stuck to their policy. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I had to wait more than 30 days for the adapters to mount the suppressor on the PCC, but I never went back and told them to cancel that order so I could purchase somewhere else. My friend purchased approximately $800 worth of hunting gear on November 21st that ended up not being used. The items were completely unworn and still had all tags attached. We attempted to return the items before he had to fly out, but the store is closed on Sundays. Due to the holidays and both of us being from out of town, we were unable to return the items until December 26th. At that point, we were told the return was refused because it was outside of their 30-day return policy. What's frustrating is that the policy does not reasonably account for store closures and holidays. This was not an abused return--everything was new and unused. When I called back to calmly explain the situation and ask if there was any flexibility, I was laughed at and told I was wrong. That response was unprofessional and upsetting. I expected better customer service from a company I've supported for years. Policies are one thing, but how customers are treated matters just as much. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping here in the future.
