The coaches are patient, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. The gym itself is spacious and clean. There are restrooms and changing rooms. Parking is plenty at this shared strip mall location. Pricing is good for the area and one of the most affordable. Overall, Renzo Gracie Round Rock is the place for anyone interested in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fitness, self defense, life skills, camaraderie, and health.

A True Family Home at Renzo Gracie Round Rock…read more When my wife and I moved our family to Round Rock, finding the right jiu-jitsu academy for myself and our three kids (ages 16, 13, and 11) was a top priority. We tried several spots around the area--and there are plenty of great options--but Renzo Gracie Round Rock stood out. After just over a year here, I can confidently say we've found a home. My kids absolutely love it. My oldest son (16) has grown so much--he's even become a helper coach in the kids' classes and trains multiple times a day. My younger two (13 and 11) can't get enough either, with age-appropriate classes for little kids and bigger kids keeping them engaged and excited. As a 47-year-old dad who's been doing jiu-jitsu for years, I love rolling here too. The vibe is perfect--no egos, no one trying to "kill" you (unless you're up for it!), just a tight-knit community focused on growth and fun. The coaches are incredible. Cam is a standout, running top-notch no-gi and kids' classes while also leading gi sessions with patience and skill. Dave brings world-class judo and gi jiu-jitsu expertise that's hard to match. Gabe has really stepping into the role of not only running the gym, but also driving the kids classes and GI classes for adults too! They genuinely care about us and our goals, making this feel like a family. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to BJJ, they meet you where you are. Renzo Gracie Round Rock has become a weekly staple for us. It's not just a gym--it's a place where my kids and I are thriving together. If you're in Round Rock looking for jiu-jitsu that's welcoming, professional, and fun, this is it. Five stars all the way! Very thankful to have found this place, and these people!!

My husband has been attending for almost 3 years now and our daughter became interested after watching some of his classes. Next month will be a year since our daughter started and Professor Andre, Coach Eric, Coach Brayden, and Coach Stormy have been a huge influence on her and we credit them with helping her gain incredible confidence. BJJ has helped her grow so much on and off the mat in just one year. Professor Andre and the staff have such a way with the kids. Teaching them valuable qualities such as respect, hard work, discipline and leadership all while learning valuable self defense skills and the kids have fun every class! For parents of girls give it a chance! Our "girly girl" looks forward to every class and loves to show off her new skills to us. She even came to us and said her goal is to compete this year. Which I never would have thought she'd want to do. We have attended classes at the other sister schools in the area as well and they all seem to have the same quality staff there too. So if you live closer to another school you can't go wrong with any of them. Professor Fabio has done a great job recruiting an impressive staff that we are happy to trust our kiddo with.

Having been taught never to lay a hand on someone, especially girls, let alone pushing and grabbing, along with tumbling is still a learning process, but mostly positive. Its most difficult because he doesnt know what the martial arts is about. I even dont. Its not anout a knock out or hurting. He learns a move a day and may be repetitive the following day. But its not like karate where you might learn a move, repeat that quick motion, and move on. It had to be learned and almost instinctual. There are steps to follow for the move to be purposeful. Its difficult for my kid amongst others to comprehend and learn and that I (and theirs) need to pay attention from the narrow seating area to recreate at home to get the most of the teaching. Overall a good experience. Waiting to experience the Texas heat in the small space with large attendance. Btw, if you want "Brazilian" Jiu Jitsu, you'll get the emersive accent and light language barrier if you can handle it. Quite authentic culturally in this small local business. They seem to be very people loving, relaxed, yet strict with their dojo behavior as expected. I would actually appreciate more obedience and respect training like original japanese jiu jitsu.

They know how to teach... serious and solid but also know when to have fun and keep it light. I've watched my son grow up a lot in these classes... I'm very proud of the young man he is becoming and again I have to say... thank you Rise!
