Very professional and organized. Came in to see if my 8 year old would like and signed up for a year after the first trial class.

For example, before I got my black belt through them, Mrs. Mascari worked extra after classes with me to make sure I learned my forms and could pass them off before the test. Having that level of support was crucial to reaching my goals, and I could not have done it without her, Master Barrett, and my training partners. There is a family atmosphere within the school, and training during my teen and young adult years has been so important in increasing my confidence and sense of belonging. I will also say just as a side note: It's so cool training in the teen/adult classes with the new teenagers and seeing how marital arts affects them. You can see their self-confidence and respect grow with each belt they earn. Definitely would recommend for anyone wanting to add some structure to their life. It teaches respect, commitment, self-worth, and self defense!

For the past two decades, I have conducted seminars across the country, sharing the principles of Taekwondo and TaeKwonYuSul with dedicated martial arts communities. Among the many schools I've worked with, Master Kaufman's Taekwondo studio stands out. I've had the pleasure of working closely with Master Kaufman and his students for more than 20 years. During that time, I've witnessed firsthand the excellence of his instruction and the character of his students. They consistently demonstrate respect, discipline, and a sincere dedication to learning. Their skill level and attitude are a direct reflection of Master Kaufman's tireless commitment--not only to teaching martial arts techniques but also to shaping strong, responsible individuals. Master Kaufman is a true martial artist and educator. His passion for the arts and his care for his students are evident in everything he does. I am proud to continue working alongside him and to support the work he's doing for the next generation of martial artists. -- Grandmaster Sam Um Founder of TaeKwonYuSul

My daughter has been going here for almost a year. Our neighbor had a birthday party at the school…read moreas she is a student there. We went and my daughter had a blast and the parents couldn't say enough good things about the instructor/owner Mr. Evans. So we talked to Evans and he said for her to come to a real class for free and see if she liked it (as the birthday parties are a little more loose and silly compared to regular class). Sounded like a solid deal so we did 2 days later and to our surprise she loved it. She goes to class about 3-4 times a week only because some days the class for her belt group was at a time that we couldn't get off work in time to get her there. The new location is awesome because it is so close to our house and Mr. Evans and some of the black belt student instructors like Donald and Daeyon (god I think I spelled that right) are amazing. The amount of patience these guys have with working with kids from 5/6 all the way up to 13/14 year olds for the "kids" classes is amazing. We have seen such a big difference in our daughter's confidence as well as manners too (not that she was a bad kid or rude to begin with) but they teach kids about respect and courtesy and what it means to have self discipline and other values. Plus the exercise she gets has been great for her too, and I feel that if she did get picked on by bullies she could deal with it. The place is great, lots of our neighbors have daughters that go there and it is awesome seeing the girls kick ass as much as the boys. We couldn't get my daughter into any extracurricular activities like Dance or anything, so we were very happy she has found this. The school also rewards kids for good attendance as well as getting good grades at school. If you are looking for your kids then call them and set up a day to check it out. I would be surprised if they didn't love it and it is very affordable.

This is a review of the kid's birthday package here…read more When my son told me that he wanted to be a ninja, the Asian parent in me started questioning my child-rearing abilities. Why not aspire to be a noble Samurai? What would Confucius say? After some talking, I discovered that what he really wanted was to be a Ninjago. Whew! Now, this a modern science problem--how to turn a kid into a Lego. The suburban mom in me combed the Internet for the perfect ninja birthday party theme. We came upon this location and I called to schedule a birthday party. I spoke with Martin, who was very helpful. He gave me a tour of their large, clean space and help me customize the birthday package. He was extremely helpful. We decided to have a bounce castle to pen the kids as guest were arriving. After all the kids have arrived, Martin and his team started with a short safety course to use when being approached by strangers. Next, swords were brought out and the little ninjas were trained in Kendo. Finally, they got to put on headgear and there was a sword fighting tournament. The parents and I were amazed at how Martin was able to capture and hold a bunch of 5-8yr olds attention for over and hour. We were really impressed and the kids are still talking about the party a week later! The most memorable part for my son was the fact that got to be the co-teacher and show off his moves by breaking a wooden board. He was very proud! Sword training-complete! Now, how am I going to find a place that teaches the ninja art of poisoning?
