    Sesame pork noodles

A nice hidden gem located inside an Asian supermarket. We ordered the beef noodle soup, sesame pork noodles, and popcorn chicken. All of it was good and the chicken was well seasoned. They gave us huge portions for the noodles as well. Highly recommend!

So here's the story, the lady got hangry while grocery shopping and couldn't decide what she wanted to eat. Pressure is on because with each passing second she's getting more and more hungry, so what do I do? Lucky for me, this food court exists and I knew popcorn chicken/nugget was an easy item to please and should be relatively quick. So I set off to go find some. I found Yes Formosa and they also offered this bun sandwich SOMETHING and it's on display. I don't know what came over me and I just felt compelled to order this. This was a game changer. My angry gremlin who needed a snickers bar was pleasantly surprised. I got bonus points for feeding and exceeding her expectations. So besides being a life saver, it was some good eat. Outside was flaky and crispy but also so gentle and delicate while being stuffed with good amount of meat. She was surprised it was able to stay so flaky with as much meat juices as there were. Not one bite was soggy and it even sat for a bit while we snacked on the popcorn chicken. Their popcorn chicken was good but I wish it had some heat. I enjoyed the garlic chunks though. Service is top tier, super friendly people who are considerate and give you everything you need. As mentioned earlier, it's a food court so plenty of seating and very open and exposed.

Taiwanese Beef noodle soup with tendon

My friend and I shared a Taiwanese Beef noodle soup with tendon which was served in a huge bowl. The broth was flavorful and the beef was so tender. A few pieces of bok choy is also thrown into the mix to add to the texture and taste. Noodles are thinner than udon but not as thin as rice noodles for those who are curious. Staff were nice so I will definitely be coming again especially for it costing less than $15.

Good prices & good food! Located in the Jusgo Supermarket food court. This place is fast, easy, and efficient. For a quick bite this place is awesome! Huge bowl of noodles for only around $12 with tip!

Passing through Atlanta and was craving taiwanese food. So glad to have found this gem In a food court next to a big Asian supermarket. Easy parking Many other small shops in the food court Got their popcorn chicken and stinky tofu! Both were delicious. Popcorn chicken w basil! Which we know it's getting less common to find one w them since basil is not cheap. But to me basil is needed for it to remind me of popcorn chicken I eat in Taiwan Sticky tofu is great. Even come w taiwanese picked cabbage! If ever in the area again would definitely stop by

Yes Formosa has really good food at a good price. And you wouldn't think that a grocery store's food court would have such tasty food. The Taiwanese rice ball w/ peanut that's available only on the weekend was interesting. Instead of a singular ball of rice with stuff inside, the portion size was about two. The interior wasn't filled with moist meat and other tidbits like I'd imagine it to be. It was a little more dry with the peanuts and other ingredients that didn't help with the lack of moisture. It was good, but more on the just okay side. The beef brisket rice under the bento section was really good. Don't let the redness in color scare you away, it was not spicy in any sense. The beef was good and had a nice crispy exterior thanks to the coating. The flavors and portion were great. It was somewhat salty because of the coating, but it was still tasty. The rice from the dish also had some minced meat atop that added more flavors and moisture. The side of green beans and pickled veggies were nice additions that balanced out this really meaty dish. The price, portion, and quality were great.

Ordered Sichuan spicy noodle soup but I'm pretty sure this is just regular beef noodle soup.

First timer. Wanted to try the stinky tofu but wasn't brave enough. Also being that it was only my husband and I and we already ordered from a few other places I saved it for another day. Instead I ordered the SICHUAN SPICY beef noodle soup with a flame next to it.. when my husband came back with the soup it was the regular beef noodle soup. IDK. We just kept it and I went to ask for some hot chili oil. The young lady up front was very nice and helpful. Soup base was good. Not what I was expecting, maybe because I was expecting a deep beefy spicy broth? The soup is light but is flavouful. Noodles overdone to my liking. The actual pieces of beef were great though! Super tender and "beefy". Can almost taste the spices they were cooked in. Lady from Spice Garden told us they're the same owners and we could've ordered the same dish from them as well. Not sure if there's a difference in the Sichuan spicy beef noodle soup vs. Beef noodle soup but wasn't very impressed with what we got.

YAS to more Taiwanese options in metro Atlanta! After losing Ah Ma's Kitchen in 2020 (another LOSS WHY), it wasn't as hard to stomach with the existence of Yes Formosa. I'm always craving Taiwanese food, because it reminds me of home and of Taiwan. I actually just went again tonight and decided to draft up this review after a few visits and trying various dishes the past year. Maybe because I speak Mandarin with a Taiwanese accent but everyone working there always gives me the best service. So if you can speak any Mandarin I recommend for clear communication and better service (not that service would be bad). There are a few "Taiwanese" options in Atlanta but this is one of the only left that offers ONLY Taiwanese options, versus assimilating with the other cuisines that American society has pressed on. ANYWAY - I've tried more than a few dishes now, and I have to say, overall, everything is pretty tasty, with flavors being as authentic as possible without being in Taiwan. Everything seems to be missing just SOMETHING but they're close enough. Prices are slightly above average but portions are big so I'm not complaining. I've tried: Taiwanese Oyster Pancake - not bad but not my favorite. Satisfies the craving if that's what you're looking for. Beef Noodle Soup - not the best, but super home-style, reminds me of home. Mackerel Thick Noodle Soup - the flavors also really remind me of home. The soup is a little starchy and thick, but I loved it. Cold Noodles (summer only) - one of my FAVORITE street foods in Taipei - unfortunately this one was more garlicky and not super flavorful otherwise. But in the heat of summer, it's definitely an enjoyable way to cool down. Fried Chicken Nuggets - these ones are spot on similar to the Taiwanese fried chicken nuggets I know and love. Taiwanese House Stir-Fried Noodles - I like my mom's version better, but who doesn't like their mom's food more?? I believe they just updated their menu very recently and today I tried some of those new dishes! Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup - ok, so it's definitely not Sichuan. It's very lightly spicy - barely there. But it's still tasty. It might as well be the original Beef Noodle Soup. Not sure why they needed to latch on the Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup. Taiwanese Gua Bao with peanut - love that the 2 bao are only $6. The flavors are ok but that pork is so fatty and tasty - those who don't love fatty pork as much as me may not appreciate it like me. The flavors are close to authentic Taiwanese flavors but not quite there. Turkey Rice - the first time I had Turkey rice in Jiayi, Taiwan, it was SO FREAKING GOOD, I inhaled two (small) bowls without stopping. This bowl was huge, for $9.95. Flavors are super close, but thought it was strange as an "entree". Feels like it needs a side more than just bok choy. Ok - so I'm realizing now this is a SUPER critical review BUT I still enjoyed every dish I've tried and will always come back for more.

A pleasant surprise in the Jusgo Supermarket Food Court! Actually we tried 3 stalls within the supermarket and ended up being happy with them all, amazing! Anyway, so we ordered soy stewed pork with tofu rice, minced pork dry noodles, Taiwanese chicken nuggets, shrimp rolls, stinky tofu, and oyster pancake. Everything was pretty authentic and tasty, surprisingly! I had low expectations because usually restaurants don't get them all right, but they definitely exceeded expectations. If you know what these are supposed to taste like, then you would know they did a good job if you tried these dishes. I do want to clarify one thing that someone complained about on Yelp when I was reading reviews for suggestions prior to trying this place out. Someone complained about the oyster pancake not being like a pancake but more gelatin like. Well, I just want you all to know that while the English name is a bit misleading if you think of American pancakes, they are SUPPOSED TO BE gelatin like. It is authentic and tastes just the way they are supposed to.‍

A Taiwanese food in the shopping grocery store food court. This Taiwanese food is street food version. Their food is very similar to Taiwan night market food. It different selection and many of the items is quite good. My wife is from Taiwan and she loves it. We started chicken nuggets. This is a five spice chicken nuggets same as night market. It is crispy. Not the best but close enough to the standard. The second dish is is the fried red pork chop. This is a good dish to share and wash down with beer. The third dish is the oyster pancake. It is very typical Taiwanese street food. Good small size oyster and good pancakes sauce. The main dish we have the fish thick soup, pork chop rice and the braised beef noodle. All three dishes are awesome. I like the most is the pork chop rise accompanying with braised pork belly rice, braised egg and more. This is a bento for most of the people in the office. Overall is great. Good place to return for more.

*Taiwanese review on Taiwanese food* 5/5 Taiwanese Meatball: I love this dish and it is extremely hard to find in the US. And this one is actually good, both flavor and texture! But there are a million types of meatballs肉圓 in Taiwan, and people like different kinds, so this is just my opinion. If you've only ever had oyster pancake and not Taiwanese Meatball, consider trying it. It is a sticky chewy tapioca skin over a ball of chopped up pork with sweet and savory sauce. 5/5 Taiwanese Oyster Pancake: Also can't find this dish around that often, but much more popular and well known than the meatball. The texture is good, and has a good amount of toppings, plus it's a pretty big plate for its price compared to others. Some people say this dish taste like snot, but I love the soft chewy texture! 3/5 Thick Squid Noodle Soup: I asked for rice vermicelli and got noodles, and I think rice vermicelli would have tasted better. The soup is not as thick as the ones I like in Taiwan. It doesn't stick on the noodles that well to give them enough flavor. I still like it, it is a closer version to home than the ones I've tried else where. A huge minus to this dish is that the squid cake tasted a little fishy. Overall I think this is a great place to get quality Taiwanese street food that you can't normally find elsewhere!

FOOD WAS GAS IT WAS SO GOOD. Perfect balance of sweet and savory and the pork inside was juicy and tender. The store is located inside Jusgo. The cashier was friendly and food came out quickly. They had some other foods I wanted to try but I was too full. Would definitely come back to try more.

Thumbs up! When calling to ease my nerves missing these dishes, I ordered from this place. The Chef outdone these: Shrimp with yam flour based pancake mixed with latus, topped with red sauce 蝦仁煎 Shaved lamb clear noodle soup 羊肉粉丝羹 both meet my expectations. Growing up in Taiwan, these were often night market top choices of mine. The flavor, xo sauce, topped with leaf sweet-basils, the broth is unique and authentic. If you encounter a crowd with people speaking in Taiwanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, you are at the right place for this treat. Note, the radio plays pop songs in mandarin, too. giving the experience of being in Asia, without having to fly airplane there. Very satisfied, every bite...when I cant finish all, next meal, it is great also. If you ask me, who knows all the ingredient, I have a hard time making these at home myself.

This was absolutely delicious! The curry tasted like pumpkin spices, which was great this time of year!

We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. Overall the restaurant was clean with a semi modern decor. The staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful throughout the visit. I'd give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

BRAISED CHICKEN W/ GINGER - $22.95 Good flavor but it's boned chicken and there are also tiny bone bits throughout ... we found it stressful to eat b/c you really have to be careful. I wouldn't order this again. Overall great spot for family-style dining. Very extensive menu - almost overwhelming! FYI they charge $5 for tea. Our server was very helpful and honest w/ his recommendations - thank you!

The clams weren't the freshest, but the flavor was still there. Rice noodles were fine, nothing crazy. The snow pea tips were a standout with perfect texture and clean flavor. The duck soup came as the second course of the Peking duck and was warm and comforting. They even gave us Chinese pumpkin cake for dessert, which was a nice surprise. Vibe wise, it's pretty simple. I'd say the food is on the same level as Royal China, just without the decor and ambiance. If you're coming strictly for the authentic Chinese food though, this spot hits!! We started with the Fuqi Feipian, which was on the salty side but otherwise pretty standard. The Seafood Shark Fin Soup was surprisingly bland, as if no salt had been added. We had to add red vinegar just to bring out some flavor, and it could have used more white pepper and seasoning overall. Next was the stir-fried squid with vegetables (I forgot the exact name). It included scallions, taro strips, and red peppers, but the taste was fairly average. The sweet and sour pork (Lychee Pork) was close to the Fujian-style flavor I'm familiar with, though the sauce was a bit light and not as tangy or sweet as expected. We also ordered the seafood fried rice noodles, which were very mild in flavor and lacked wok hei. It felt under-seasoned, almost like the seasoning was forgotten again. One standout dish was the red fermented rice pork intestines with snow peas, a classic Fujian specialty. The red fermented rice flavor really came through, and this dish was definitely worth supporting. The crispy roast duck was another highlight--crispy skin, juicy meat, and served with steamed pancakes, shredded cucumber, scallions, and sweet bean sauce. Very satisfying in every bite. The restaurant also offered complimentary orange slices at the end, which was a nice touch. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and overall it was a fairly filling meal. If you enjoy Fujian-style cuisine, it's worth giving this place a try.

The service was quick and friendly, the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated with warm wooden accents, and the food was delicious. We ordered eight items off the menu, and while the Scallop with Garlic Sauce ($15.98) was a bit too garlicky for my taste, we enjoyed every dish we tried. The Chicken Skin ($6.99) was perfectly crispy, the Special Lamb and Fatty Beef ($8.99 each) were juicy, the Roasted Eggplant ($5.99) had a rich smokiness, and both the Roasted Enoki Mushrooms and Grilled King Oyster Mushrooms ($5.99 each) were fresh and packed with flavor. The Pork Belly with Enoki Mushrooms ($6.98) were especially delicious! They were flavorful without being overly porky. We'll definitely be back!

My favorite dish is probably the eggplant on rice. I'm also a fan of the fried salted egg corn. The egg drop soup is kind of standard fare and so is the fried pork. Enoki mushrooms were a hit but I felt like it was a small portion. My wife was also disappointed in the stir fried udon noddles. My least favorite dish is the shrimp. The shrimp looks pretty but it's just takes too much effort to eat it. The real reason to come here are for the skewers though. The lamb and fatty beef are good. They are not the best skewers but still great. Would I come here again? Yes but only with friends. It's quite a drive but it's in a nice shopping center. My friend says Friendship BBQ is nearby and better though.
