1302. Sizzling Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce

I'd definitely say yep to Yep kitchen. We went on 4th of July and they had seating and served us in a timely manner. The booth seats and chairs move so it's nice if you need some more space to get in. They can seat a big family for family dinners too which is nice! It's nice that they give you a pitcher of hot tea so you can pour it yourself and drink as much as you like. You use an iPad to order so you don't wait on anyone. They have any kind of smoothie/Boba drink. Also they have tons of classic Chinese dishes. I usually go for the Cantonese ones. We got beef chow fun, sizzling beef tenderloin, and tofu with watercress. The flavors were right. Just wish the beef chow fun had wider flat rice noodles and some more crispiness to really taste the wok hei but I was fill full. I'd come back and try more!

We ordered: Piggy Egg Yolk Custard Bun Pork Ribs Steamed Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf Salty Egg Yolk Fish Fillet Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Rolls Japanese Tofu w/ Watercress Shrimp Wonton Soup This restaurant offers a huge menu of classic dishes, dim sum, ayce hot pot, and ayce sushi somehow. An obvious red flag in my opinion. We stuck to the regular menu. Piggy egg yolk bun tastes store bought. I don't think anything was overcooked but some dishes were bland like the Japanese tofu w/ watercress and brisket rice noodles. Sticky Rice in lotus leaf had good black bean flavor but not sticky at all. Salted Egg Yolk fish fillet was our favorite dish. No issues with service. A lot of seating for big groups.

Friendly and fast service, we liked all of our food, especially the taro milk tea for dessert. Not a lot of ambiance but clean!

Ambiance: 5/5 It is quite spacious inside with tables for all group sizes. It is clean and tidy. Service: 5/5 The staff are all very nice. You order on an ipad. Food: 5/5 I love it here! The food has excellent flavors and if you're looking for that wok hei (smokey, flame-licked flavor), it's got it. Some favorites include the jalapeño pork neck and the green beans. They also have yummy dimsum items too. Don't skip out on this place if you're looking for some Cantonese food done right!

I have been craving Guangzhou style cheung fun for ages and it seems so hard to find. Didn't help that my brother's currently in the motherland and sending pics. Anyways, prior to my trip out, I found one spot that had it and that was what I was most excited for. This is a casual eatery and I can really only rate it for breakfast time but it feels very much like a Canto breakfast spot. Old folks come in their groups, order food, chat and drink tea, head out. It was pretty empty around 10AM both Sunday and Monday mornings (yes I came for breakfast twice). You order on an ipad and let the staff know you've ordered so they can confirm. Food comes out pretty quickly and it was great. The rice noodles were... slippery? There's a chinese mouthfeel word that I can't translate well. It's a good thing though, flavorful overall and not quite as good as in the homeland but I'll take what I can get. The beef offal stew was also very flavorful, with very soft tripe. The radish, as someone else mentioned, wasn't super flavorful so I'm guessing they aren't braised together. Overall, this to me, was a great breakfast spot. Easy to get to from the red line, ~$6 for a filling breakfast + a free drink. Doubt there's many deals as great anymore.

Food was good and was average priced. We went to brunch and some dishes ordered came with either a hot (included and no additional charge) or a cold drink (additional charge). Some of us selected the hot Milk Tea combo and some of us selected hot coffee. Seating was ample and the circuses were quite busy and yet there was not a wait, so that was good. Wait staff was attentive when ordering as we had issues with the table side kiosk. We were able to take a paper menu from the outside window on our way in so we all did not have to huddle around the tiny mini- iPad screen to order food. Eventually the wait staff assisted us with the order and he had some difficulty on the iPad. **note- for large parties grab a paper menu to share to make the group orders easier and smoother. The food came quickly and was super tasty with enough flavor. Especially the Beef dishes, seems the beef was flavored just right. The shrimp wonton noodle soup broth was just the right taste, not too salty and not too overbearing in shrimp taste. Noodles could have been cooked better as noodle cooking seemed rushed- noodles were stuck together and not stringy. Ma Po Tofu paired with steamed rice was flavored to perfection but did have jalapeño peppers instead of peppercorn or red chili peppers. No matter, there was sufficient heat to this dish. Shrimp crepes were properly soy sauced and there were soy sauce in the table to add. Atmosphere was good, wait staff patient, food was satisfying. (Address is included in the photos as I took a photo of the paper menu)

I love coming here for their breakfast or lunch special cause they're such a steal- but lately I've tried their dinner and omg mind blown! Can't believe I haven't tried it sooner! I absolutely love the hot and sour fish filet (as for the one that is with crunchy fish fillet) and the black pepper beef tenderloin is soon delicious. We also tried the tofu Claypot and on choy. Everything was perfectly seasoned and reasonable portion. Rhe dervice is great and They have a very spacious dining area we love coming here as a family.

    Barely warm milk tea.

The milk tea that's comes with the breakfast is barely warm. Tea should be either HOT or COLD. These are some of the small details that makes you stand out to your customer. These careless ongoing mistakes will cost you customers.

No frill, authentic cantonese breakfast food. Came with my parents to have some rice noodle rolls and congee, and they didn't disappoint. The rice noodles were pretty smooth as was the congee. The beef in the stir fried udon was a bit too salty, but otherwise the black pepper taste was strong just the way I like it. Would come back again for a quick, HK-style breakfast! Service was fine and quick. You order on a tablet and a waiter needs to come over to confirm the order. Parking validation available.

I came here late night for shrimp wonton noodle soup. It was very good. The broth and the wontons had good flavor. I definitely want to come back and try the other things on the menu. Perfect place for Cantonese food.

This is a wonderful addition to Chinatown Square especially. My family and I have visited on several occasions for lunch and have tried the following: 1) Milk tea and coffee milk tea. I would definitely go with the latter because the milk tea is a bit weak. 2) Sampan congee - This was packed with a lot of ingredients. Definitely a winner! 3) Shrimp wonton soup - Typical standard affair that I was rather indifferent to. 4) Beef tendon lai fun noodle soup - This was probably due to my own poor choice because lai fun with noodle soup is usually bland unless you add hot sauce. This would've been better if stir-fried. 5) Stir-fried beef chow mein - This is a solid choice with plenty of wok hei! 6) Stir-fried beef chow ho fun - Likewise with the above, this was also a solid choice! 7) Steamed shrimp crepe - This was incredibly soft and thin. It was topped with several pieces of shrimp. It isn't tri-folded like you would normally have it at dim sum. It is somewhat crumbled and if not eaten fresh, everything is all gathered and bunched up. So it can get messy. We can't wait to try the other entrees!

The hottest dish that came out where the shrimp spring rolls. Can't go wrong with those to be honest. Again, like I said, maybe their dinner is better. Be prepared to wait a little bit for a table, or share a big one with another party at peak times. Prices are reasonable and portions are pretty generous. ===== Kind of lost count of how many times I've been. Love getting the dim sum and noodle dishes here. Some favorites: beef cheong fun with egg, siu mai, Singapore noodle, xo rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, pork and century egg congee. All the food has been very solid. Inside is always bustling and can be a bit crowded. Service is pretty friendly as far as Chinatown goes, and very efficient. There's a guy who works there who I think is the manager or something, because he puts in 200x effort and is always hustling. When he's not around it feels like something is missing. Prices are very reasonable and we like ordering a lot here so that we have tasty leftovers for later. This place has quite a few big tables and is good for large groups. My only nits are that very occasionally a dish or teacup will have a dirty spot, and that the bubble tea here is kind of meh. I don't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was a little watery and lacking in flavor. It's also probably tough since they're boxed in by boba places now. Pro tip: When you first get your table, they'll ask you what kind of tea you want. If you ignore them or don't know how to answer, the default is green tea. Another one is to come at off-peak times. Not only will you get a table faster, but I think they tweak their portion sizes depending on how crowded it is. Definitely will be back! And I recommend you visit too

Communication was a challenge since very little English was spoken, and the descriptions of the dishes were lacking. I don't enjoy gambling on menu titles that sound good but end up being something completely different from what you expect. Some of the more familiar dishes were solid. The Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef were both pretty good and tasted like what you'd expect from most Chinese restaurants. Other dishes were much harder to understand, even after asking questions about how they were prepared or whether they were sweet or savory. We ordered the Sauteed Chicken in Hot Spicy Sauce Rice, which turned out to be very heavy on Sichuan peppercorns with a strong floral aftertaste. The chicken sat on a bed of what looked and tasted like deep-fried kale, and despite the word "rice" in the name, there was no rice in the dish at all. That's one item we won't be ordering again. We also tried the Fish Filet with Hot and Sour Lime Sauce. It was basically a sweet-and-sour style fish dish. It wasn't bad, but it leaned much sweeter than expected. Another thing to note: none of the dishes come with white rice--it's completely à la carte. We only found that out after ordering. With prices being what they are these days, it would be nice if they included at least some white rice like most Chinese restaurants do. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, but the lack of clear descriptions and communication made the experience frustrating. I prefer restaurants where expectations are clear rather than discovering surprises after the food arrives.
