    Salt and pepper squid
    Jocelyn H.

Pretty good food! When we came on Friday for lunch, we were seated immediately. I will say that there are only 10-ish tables in the restaurant so if you have a big group, you'll want to call for their private dining room. We ordered on an iPad and the food came out in probably 10 minutes! My favorites were the fish fillet with vegetables and razor clams. The salt and pepper squid wasn't lightly battered like I'm used to so I'm not sure if that will deter anyone.

Spontaneous craving for Chinese takeout? Order ANYTHING from go4food for guaranteed satiation. Like these sure winners: Olympic gold level French beef tenderloin, shrimp lobster sauce, tender beef noodles and soft shell crab Wish we had more people to feed so we could order more lol. Next time!

Still stand on my statement of how overly expensive Go 4 Food is. I understand that it's due to the cost of living but why does a dish cost $20? We only came because of $16 lobster special and it just felt weird getting one dish. Ginger & scallion style no extra charge. Salted egg yolk would have been an additional $6! Lobster Crab Rangoon (4 pieces) - $8 not enough filling French beef tenderloin- $20 tasty dish but not for the price worth when it wasn't even a full plate Razor clams - $17 I thought these were amazing and price value was appropriate even came with some glass noodles. It was a hit for my toddler. Lobster (ginger & scallion) - $16 teeny tiny lobster but for price point I guess it was sustainable & tasted like the typical Chinese style you get anywhere else Fried tofu & fish - $22 Got it for our toddler which she ended not eating. Typically made with Chinese cabbage but this one didn't tasty but expensive Meter parking or you can park by the school watch out for permit parking signs. We got lucky to snag a table for 5:30 pm on a Friday night because then other patrons came after us

4.5 stars -- A seafood lover's delight, just plan ahead for the king! We came here with one goal in mind: the King Crab Feast. Pro tip--you've gotta order this at least 24 hours in advance, which we didn't know. Totally makes sense (I don't imagine they've got a giant tank in the back for live king crab), but still a bit of a letdown. That said, we made the best of it--and wow, it was still a feast. We ordered: - Razor clams - Absolutely to die for. Cooked perfectly with beautiful, delicate flavors. I did get a couple gritty bites (why am I always the one who finds the sand?! ), but honestly, I'd still order them again in a heartbeat. - Lobster - (Chili Fusion) - A total hit. My husband and I were both obsessed. - Dungeness crab (Hong Kong style) - Also good, but a little trickier to eat since it's battered and fried shell and all. If you're not into crunching through crab armor or navigating chewy bits, maybe skip that prep style. Ambiance is simple and no-frills, which was totally fine for us. I didn't check out the ladies' room, so can't comment there. Service was excellent--attentive and friendly throughout. Bottom line: If you love seafood and don't mind getting a little messy, this place is 100% worth a visit. Just call ahead for the king!

The soft shell crab was not fresh and had a weird taste. The beef was also not good as before. It was a little bit disappointing today.

Awesome place. They made us a four course meal from live king crab. Great food and really good service with a casual environment. Will definitely be back

I dined at Go 4 Food on Friday, May 9, 2025 at around 2 pm. Go 4 Food is the place TO GO FOR some delicious Szechuan and Chinese homey foods to share with family and friends. Although the restaurant may look small and unassuming from the outside, don't underestimate the quality of the food that comes out of their kitchen. The beef chow fun, one of my all time favorite stir-fried noodle dishes, was one of the best I had because it tasted like it married the wok it was cooked in because it had that wok-hei flavor. The beef was cooked very well and it was overall a nice comfort dish that eats well with other shareable dishes. The crispy silver fish tasted light and salty, but were not as crispy as I would've liked them to be. The string beans were very flavorful and the pork added a nice salty element to the veg. The Manila clams with black bean sauce were amazing! Clams were large and plump and the black bean sauce was rich. Don't expect stellar service because it's a pretty casual establishment. I'd definitely return next time I'm in Chicago area.

I'm so excited to write this review because I'm so glad I found this restaurant! I took a rideshare because parking is always difficult to acquire in Chinatown. The restaurant is pretty small but I believe there is a downstairs for larger parties. The dining room is brightly lit and it smells AMAZING in this restaurant. Really, you can smell the greatness coming from their kitchen as soon as you arrive outside of the restaurant! They are BYOB so we had Prosecco to go with the seafood we planned to order. For appetizers we had, Crab Rangoon, Pot Stickers, both jumbo steamed oysters, and the giant clam. We enjoyed everything but disliked the Pot stickers because they were simply too big and breaded. For dinner, we ordered the Salt and Pepper shrimp, and an entire lobster! The Salt and Pepper shrimp was the best I've ever had. Perfect amount of salt and crispiness. We kind of customized our lobster by just getting butter, garlic, and scallions. We wanted to be able to taste the freshness and sweetness of the lobster meat. Don't forget the chili oil! Phenomenal meal. This was the most reasonably priced dinner I've ever had that contained lobster! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing! We got a chance to talk with the chef and one of the owners. Very informative and friendly. I haven't gotten a chance to go back but I have gotten the Salt and Pepper Shrimp delivered for dinner. Just as delicious as I remember! I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to go again!

We recently ordered take out here. Usually they are on point with our order but this last time a part of order was missing. The order otherwise was good with our salt and pepper pork, beef chow fun and fish fillet with vegetables. The salt and pepper pork was not as crispy as most likely the steam from the big softened them.

Ambiance - casual spot for dinner, very very tight tables, good for small groups but they can accommodate for bigger families downstairs also Service - food came out fairly quickly & ordered through an iPad to send to kitchen Food - French style beef tenderloin was my absolute favorite (beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful), razor clams/clams were a bit sandy, steamed freshwater fish had a slight mud aftertaste, salt & pepper chicken wings was a classic

Everything at this restaurant is truly cooked to perfection and they nailed every dish! You can really tell that the kitchen cares about the quality of their ingredients, and know how to season the food so that the best flavor profile is brought out in the meats. We got the tea roasted duck which fell off the bone, egg yolk shrimp, crab rangoons with real seafood, and vegetable fried rice. The rice was exceptional and was some of the best fried rice I've ever tried, it was cooked perfectly. I wish I could give five stars, but the kitchen forgot to make our order of rice and it took an extra 45 minutes to receive it after we ate our main dishes. The waitress apologized, but it was not comped on the check. The food here genuinely is so good that we will be returning again though!

Tucked away on a side street in Chinatown, this spot has a casual vibe perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a late-night bite. Upon being seated, you're handed an iPad to place your order. The viral King Crab dish requires 24-hour advance notice, so sadly we had to skip that one. Starters: * Crab Rangoons - Just okay. Crispy, but lacked a punch of flavor. * Fried Dumplings - Perfectly crisp on the outside, flavorful on the inside. Entrees: * Razor Clams - Not what we expected based on the photo; they came topped with glass noodles and had a fishy flavor. * BBQ Fried Rice - savory, and packed with smoky flavor. Would definitely order again. * Lobster in Ginger Sauce - So good! The lobster was tender and well-seasoned, and the noodles had that perfect springy bounce. * Salt and Pepper Dungeness Crab - A must-try. Bold flavors, crispy edges. * French Style Beef Tenderloin - Another standout. Tender pieces of beef, balanced between savory and sweet. Absolutely delicious

I haven't been here since Oct. 2021 and I've been waiting 5 whole years to come back here and by golly I MADE IT!!!! :D This joint was so good we came here 2 days in a row! The French Style Beef was sooooooooo AMAZING! Cooked PERFECTLY!! The Oysters was big and BOMB!!! My favorite and wat I couldn't wait to eat again was the Millionaire Fried Rice. Ooooh how I missed it! Everything else was cool.... This will always be my Go To in Chicago and I will always recommend this spot to everybody! Ya'll know Chicago parking... Good luck w that. Closes 2:30-5pm and its BYOB!

Sweet walnut buns, fried bean curd skins filled with deliciousness, brisket with rice noodles that looked like Korean rice cakes, meatloaf, and more. Everything was outstanding, with various sauces presented with different items. This was new for us as well. A deep red vinegar with some fried dumplings, a tasty black sauce with the fried stuffed bean curd skins, a sweet plum sauce with the fried skinny shrimp rolls, it was really fun food. They have a barista making coffee, espresso and even milk tea, but the wait was like 10 minutes. Clean restaurant with very good service. Wish we lived closer so we could make it regular stop.
