    Ye Ye West Meal

This place is amazing. I got the Ye Ye West Meal for a steal of $14.99! As soon as I sunk my teeth into Ye Ye, I felt a rush throughout my body. I was like, "Go Go Go Go!". I will definitely be returning.

I ordered a small pork fried rice and it was really burnt and tasted burn but I was so hungry and there was nothing else around me except here so I ordered and it does not taste right and I feel like I'm tasting soap

Great food, nice sized portions, and my food has always been piping hot and delicious. The servers have always been polite. Recommended: California Roll, General Tso's, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Crab Rangoon, egg rolls

I love this place. The service can be slow but I am not in a hurry when I come here. Delicious fresh sushi and Chinese dishes. All meals can be adapted for spiciness. You can tell them what you like and they make it even if it is not a menu item. I love the Pink Phoenix roll. It is big and sweet and spicy. It has tempura shrimp inside and a special sauce on top. All of the rolls are good and worth the little bit of wait on a busy night. Drinks are good and they have a few canned or bottled beers as well as wine.

In boxing terms, I rate this establishment a 10 on the Manny Pacquiao scale, because its punching way above its weight. I recently asked about this place, having read a listing for the Best Chinese restaurants in Every State. Let's say the article piqued my interest, and though the author hadn't bothered to actually dine in the restaurant, I decided to make my way over here for a meal. I'm glad I did. Its not much to look at from the outside, a pretty generic concrete block box in the Arctic section of West Warwick. But they're running some kind of special ship in the back I'll bet. Our waiter was kind and prompt. The food fresh, and hot, and delicious. We started with an order of Nime Chow (Vietnamese), and I am expecting some generic, slipshod version of delivery fast food, and we'll move along. I get these softly rolled pillows, fresh and bright tasting, verdant green mint leave adorned gems. The shrimp inside are briny and sweet, the bean sprouts snap with the taste of the earth. To dress them, a house made and expertly so, sauce of rich peanut grinds and sweet soy. Quite simple, and common dish, rarely done this well. I also thought I'd try a chicken wing or two. Some of my favorite Chinese food stops excel at spicy fried chicken dishes. This one does have a very satisfying crispy crunch, but I found the seasoning lacked the heat and flavor I expected. A second shot at spicy fried chicken was more successful, demonstrably so. That dish, the Loc Lac Chicken (Cambodian), offered an intriguing mix of garlic and black pepper with the tart and sweet of the juice of a lime. Again, outstanding. An order of pan fried Gyoza, filled with spiced ground Pork, was well prepared but not terribly exciting. A generously large bowl of Vietnamese Rice Noodle Soup however, again showed off expert cookery, the thin sections of Pork shoulder had just the right tender feel and nice depth of flavor. The broth was both fragrant and well seasoned, quite well done. This may not be the most adventurous stop on a tour of Asian foodstuffs, but it certainly makes the list of ones where they get the cooking part right. I'm a fan.

I love the staff and customer service at Ye Express. We have been with them since the beginning. The sushi is fantastic and fresh. I'm not a fan of sushi as a rule and even I found things I could enjoy. Delivery is great if you can get one of the original girls. The new kid they had hired was very rude when he came by. I usually measure a place by their Gen. Tso Chicken. In store it is very fresh. The sauce has just the right consistancy. I think I prefered the original cooking staff that was there when it opened. As time has passed the quality has lowered a bit on certain items. The staff will tailor and meal to your liking and add or subtract as needed. When waiting for take out they always seem to offer tea free of charge. One night while eating there they let me try what they were cooking for themselves. The portions are great. For 30 USD. Myself and The Lady are pretty stuffed.

We ordered takeout from here. Food was delicious, we loved the pad Thai and the mei fun noodles. Food was ready quickly. No dine-in option.

Staff greeted us and got to see it real quick. We and another party was only ones there lunch time. Probably more take out than dine in. Menu selection was huge, so much to choose from. My gf is from china so picked out some noteworthy dishes to try and they did not disappoint! 4/5 stirfry bacon with bamboo shoots was excellent. The bacon is more like the fatty cross section of pork that's thinly sliced. It had a smoky flavor to it which mixes well with the crunchy bamboo and peppers. The spice level was also just right to give the dish a good kick. 3.5/5 fried intestines were also good but just didn't hit as well as the other dishes. Maybe just not crunchy enough. At least also spiced well. 5/5 Salted egg yolk with tofu... I could not stop eating this dish with rice. I don't know what kind of tofu they were using, but it was super silky, but it was also maintaining its form really well in firmness so doesn't break apart in contact. The salty egg yolk flavor balances out with the tofu and rice. It's so it's like a comfort food for me. 4.5/5 beef with Longhorn peppers, definitely on the spicy side, which I love. This dish was a bit softer than normal, but I was fine since we had rice to go with it. The beef strands mixed well with the thin sliced peppers so it was easy chew and the spice packs a punch. Overall, I love this place and will definitely come again when I'm around the area. The menu is so huge that I feel like I have to come back multiple times just to try 80% of the menu.

We ordered a California roll, the Tuna Thunder roll, Shanghai dumplings, orange chicken with pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and pepper steak with onions with white rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked really well. The portions were huge for the price, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself has a great vibe -- very clean, neatly decorated, and the little waterfall feature added such a calming touch. It made the whole meal feel extra relaxing. The only downside was the orange chicken -- it had actual orange peels in it, and they were burnt, which threw the flavor off. Everything else was fantastic though, and absolutely worth ordering again. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially since we had our 13-week-old daughter with us. Great service, great food (with one small hiccup), and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

The pros: the new owners are very friendly and personable. The wonton soup is still great and has even more wontons and pork lately. The Peking ravioli seem to be even tastier than they have in the past. The cons: in the past 2 weeks, I've ordered several dishes that were very different and sub-par compared to the food under the former owners. The chicken and broccoli was very goopy and the chicken tasted spoiled. I had to throw it away. I ordered chicken teriyaki and that chicken tasted sour as well, as though it was spoiled or had some type of spoiled marinade on it. This happened to me twice. Last, the waitress is no longer there I guess, so there is one person trying to work the front and serve tables. It's not working out. I dined here on Christmas Day at the invitation of a relative who has eaten here a few times and swears by the clay pot dishes. The restaurant was very busy, busier than usual, I was told. We were seated quickly, which felt promising. That momentum did not continue. After we said we weren't quite ready to order since we had just sat down and a couple of us were new to the spot, we asked the server to return. She did, about 10 minutes later. From there, it became a series of waits. The appetizer arrived first, then one main dish was served, leaving the other two diners waiting another 12 minutes. Plenty of time to admire someone else's food. There were a few service hiccups. One water glass had a visible crack and took some persistent hand waving to replace. The soy sauce container was empty, and after more waving, I eventually stood up and borrowed one from a nearby empty table. Light cardio included. The dishes are pricier than average, which I'm generally fine with. The restaurant is clean, newer, and located on the outskirts of East Greenwich, which may explain the pricing. What disappointed me was my $26 eel hot pot (aka Unagi Kobayaki). While it tasted good, it consisted of four slivers of eel, yes, four, which we confirmed, a few avocado slices, and a lot of rice. For that price, it felt ambitious. I could have enjoyed a very nice sushi meal elsewhere for less. Ordering clay hot pots is not new to me. To be fair, one of my companions ordered the Boneless spare ribs hot pot and enjoyed it. That dish had noticeably more protein and felt far more balanced. In short, the food flavors are good, but the service struggled, perhaps due to the holiday rush. I may try this place again on a less busy day, but with several other options nearby, I do not yet see a strong competitive advantage.
