First timer, will be back. Portions for the price point were good. Loveeedddd the butter chicken and vegetarian samosa. Can't wait to go and try some more options. Fairly decent sized menu. When you walk in, you can smell the warm spices, but not to where it's overpowering. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. Would go back just to talk to him! Chairs are size friendly, mostly accessible as well. Traditional music playing softly in the back ground was nice.

WOW. This place is nothing short of spectacular. First, the place looks pretty and is very clean inside, and smells fantastic! Secondly, the food is amazing. The menu is HUGE and for a vegetarian, there was so much to choose from that I had trouble picking one, and I plan on going back to try everything. If you get something with Korma sauce, get the garlic naan to dip in it! The combination is to die for. It's also not expensive, for three people who each got meals, naan and specialty drinks (lassis) it was around $70. The staff was also amazing, going above and beyond. Our waiter was so nice, and she recommended food that she thought each of us would like for the next time. Overall, fantastic experience, fantastic food. I will definitely be coming back here!

Great authentic clean food. Very cute and clean interior. Waiter was incredibly kind and attentive and was able to accommodate our group of 8 with ease. Food came out very fast and was very delicious. Would definitely recommend!

    Saag Paneer and Chicken Karahi

Great food and service at Masala! While visiting the area, I consulted Yelp and stumbled upon this little restaurant. It wasn't crowded for a Saturday night. The inside is very basic and they happen to be playing classic hindi songs. We ordered the saag paneer, chicken karahi, and an onion naan. Everything was delicious. The saag paneer and the naan were the standouts. The chicken was a bit chewy, but the overall flavor was good. The Naan was baked with spring onions and very tasty. Our server, was very friendly and efficiently worked all 3 occupied tables, while hustling to assist all the take-out orders. And, there was certainly a revolving door of pick-up orders while were there. Masala appears to be a popular Indian restaurant in the area.

I recently ordered on Uber eats from masala. Normally for a protein I order chicken. Unfortunately this time around, I went with goat. The order was about 80% bone disguised as meat chunks. I'm pretty mad about it as usually these guys are quality. I shouldn't be constantly picking bone shards out of every bite. Maybe they have a new chef, but extremely lazy or a dirty thing to do to a returning customer. I made a complaint on Uber eats so not sure it went though. If you decide to order goat, make sure you check your order if you can. As you can see by my photos it's very large bones as well as shards of bones in each bite. That's a food safety issue in my opinion. On top of me not getting my value in what I paid for since most of my meal was bones and cartilage. 1/10 for this order

They are so sweet and friendly and the food is delicious! My favorite was the garlic naan. They play lovely music in the restaurant so I recommend eating in the restaurant not just ordering take out!

After reading past reviews on Masala Restaurant, I was very encouraged to visit the place. The restaurant was empty but the hostess/waitress was a very engaging young lady that seated me at the window table. After reviewing the menu I ordered a mixed green house salad, tandoori chicken served with basmati white rice, naan garlic bread. I also ordered the curry lamb. Once the food was ready it was served all at once. Everything was served hot and was favorable. I was very pleased. This restaurant has a very diverse client based that was coming into the restaurant to pickup take out orders. The service was wonderful. I'm happy that I found a non pretentious mom and pop local restaurant serving the West Warwick Rhode Island neighborhood. I will definitely return when I'm in town.

    Goat and lamb vindaloo...

I'm a vindaloo guy... I've peeped this place for a minute and popped up on them fifteen minutes early for atogo order... Very hospitable, took my order, and it was ready before their opening time... So, usually i go to places and they give you slightly less rice then you want, not them. I asked for a very spicy vindaloo, and the flavor was good and it was spicy. This is my area Indian spot now. And they have a lunch buffet... Recommend a visit definitely... And they have quite a bit of protein... I'm 6'1" 240, athletic build and I tend to eat quite a bit. I have have more than half left over...

Okay so took an overnight trip to Warwick/ providence area and wanted some Indian food. Go to Masala. This was was incredible. The staff, 10/10. The food 10/10. Best decision we made on our trip was trying Masala. The apps were delicious. The side sauces were refreshing. The main dishes were perfectly seasoned and the naan to die for. Do yourself a favor and check out Masala if you are in Rhode Island. We will definitely come back next time we are in RI!

    Mango Lassi

Amazing food! I've been looking for a Indian place that does Samosa Chaat since I moved to the area and they did not disappoint. Slightly different than what I'm used to but none the less, flavorful and delicious. The Lamb tikka masala was also great. The Lamb was super tender and the sauce was delicious. The mango lassi was smooth and thick and had a great mango flavor. There's a parking lot and plenty of parking . A little weird though because the most of the lot is at incline but had no issues finding a spot.

When I grabbed the menu, there were plenty of descriptions so I've attached the menu photos to Yelp. I ordered the Okra Stew and it came with a large side of Rice that was flavored with Mediterranean spices. The stew was delicious with carrots, potatoes, okra, and chunks of lamb meat. Everything was balanced and tasted amazing. It was really good with the rice too if you like to mix the two together. $19.99 (A little pricey for soup) The Greek salad was very good, chopped up with fresh white onions on it. The Greek dressing was fantastic. $10.99 (Would be even better if you can add chicken to it - I'm sure they would be if you asked). Chicken Shawarma was a special for $9.99 made with fresh veggies. The chicken was a little dry, but still very good. The veggies did a good job of blending it all together.

Flavors, on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence is a halal restaurant that decided to enter…read morethis year's Lord of the Pies competition. That sentence tells you everything about what's happening here. This isn't a pizza place that added some fusion items. This is a halal spot doing tandoori chicken wraps and lamb keema that figured pizza might work as part of the mix. The space looks sharp. Dark ceilings. Woven pendant lights hanging at the right intervals. Plants everywhere that actually work instead of looking like an afterthought. Someone put real thought into making this place feel modern and welcoming, which matters when you're trying to pull off a menu that spans continents. Looking at what they're actually doing makes sense once you understand the concept. The chicken tikka pizza. The lamb keema pie. The spicy donner option. That's where their expertise lives. That's what they know how to cook. The margherita exists because the competition requires it, not because it's their signature move. And you can tell. What arrives looks fine enough. The cheese melted properly. Some color where it should be. But the first bite reveals a pizza still finding itself. The dough eats doughy. Not undercooked, just that texture that makes you think prefab even though it's not. It lacks character. No real chew. No complexity. Just dough being dough without much personality behind it. The cheese does its job. Good coverage. Proper melt. It's competent cheese, which counts for something. But competent cheese can't save ratios that don't make sense. Because there's barely any sauce. What little made it onto this dough doesn't contribute much. No brightness. No acidity cutting through all that cheese. No presence. You're essentially eating cheese bread, which might work as an appetizer but doesn't work as pizza. Then the garlic shows up and refuses to leave. Strong garlic flavor dominates. Not in a subtle, integrated way. Just there, overwhelming many bites, making you wonder if it's trying to compensate for the sauce that forgot to show up. Here's the thing though. Judging this margherita against what Flavors actually does feels slightly unfair. This is like asking your favorite Thai place to make you a cheeseburger. Sure, they'll try, but that's not why you go there. You go there for the pad thai that's been perfected over years. The curry they know by heart. The stuff they actually care about getting right. I'd bet money their chicken tikka pizza works better than this margherita. The lamb keema probably sings when it hits dough with their house spices and proper sauce ratios. The peri peri chicken might actually justify the fusion concept. But none of that matters in a competition that strips everything down to four ingredients and asks if you understand the fundamentals. Forty places entered Lord of the Pies this year. Most of them are pizza places through and through. Places that make margheritas every day and have the ratios memorized and know exactly how their ovens behave. Flavors is competing outside their weight class, which takes guts even if the result isn't quite there yet. The potential exists. The space works. Everyone who works here is super nice and fantastic hosts. The core menu probably delivers. But this margherita tastes like something they had to make rather than something they wanted to make, and that shows in every doughy, garlic-heavy, sauce-lacking bite. Maybe stick to what you know best. Let the pizza places fight over who makes the best margherita. Focus on doing halal fusion pizza that actually uses your strengths instead of exposing your weaknesses. Because I guarantee the lamb keema pizza has more going for it than this one does.

Could not have anticipated how delicious this actually ended up being. I had a tikka wrap, they threw in some homemade peri peri on the side for me to try when I said I loved spicy. I'm assuming the guy working the front was the owner, I can't remember his name but he was so friendly and attentive. Really made me feel like an honest to god restaurant critic just for walking in the door. I can't recommend this spot highly enough
