Street Style Chickpea Bowl (V) Fennel Mint Lemonade Mini Samosas
    Jamie A.

This time, I really got a feel for pairings and selecting my toppings, sauces, and spices. It's an Indian food bowl and after reading over the menu, I got my kind of bowl i wanted. This place can accommodate to vegan eaters, or just a non meat kind of day choices. The staff can easily accommodate and recommend great pairings and explain very well what flavors will be like if you prefer or are more into spicy, sweet, savory, or just a non spicy friend~ The Mini Samosas are a must because they are the most crunchy and best side! I would love a whole bag of the samosas~ The drink options have many spices and can be Interesting ~ I enjoyed the refreshing lemonade because it wasn't too much of an adventure ~ This is my new favorite place for Indian food ~ The whole place is clean and a usual take out place with some seats but don't expect an in restaurant experience where your given seats~

Came back to try again after the event to try out a different type of bowl. This time I was more prepared on what to expect because I've had it before and I read the list of sauce and sides listed up above which I did not notice It's a small chipotle style Indian Mexican fusion restaurant where you can pick and choose what you want on a bowl. This time I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl, mini samosas and cold chai latte. I wanted to try the steak but was not ready and didn't have time to wait at the moment. I really liked the bowl this time more so than last time because I knew better what I wanted in my bowl. My personal favorite combo was chipotle chicken with saffron rice, sides, guacamole, spicy sauce and tahini sauce. Very flavorful but still healthy and doesn't feel heavy. Mini samosa was great as I remembered. It's a must try when you come here. I think it's best I had around all the Indian places I've tried at. Cold chai latte was okay. Similar to mango lassi I tried last time I think it's a bit too strong spice flavors for me personally. Service was good like last time but still it's kind of difficult to understand sometimes because of thick accent but it's part of the experience. I highly recommend you spend time to read the menu and list of sides/ sauce up above to check what you want before you place your order. Overall definitely a great and refreshing option since there is nothing like this place around RI area. Definitely would come back again to try the steak bowl.

Cilanter was an interesting fusion of Indian food and Chipotle style bowls! I got chicken tikka and steak in my bowl, along with many different toppings and a mix of sauces they had recommended. It was a filling and healthy meal!

I love anything that has to do with Indian food. That's why I think this concept they have created is brilliant! Quick and easy ordering and staff were super friendly. Loved the art work on the wall. I went with the chicken tikka masala bowl and it did not disappoint my tastebuds. Go get you some Cilanter asap! Happy eating!

This was my first time visiting and I was really impressed. My bowl was delicious. The employees were helpful in selecting the items for the bowl and answering any questions I had. They offer bowls, wraps, salads, and tacos. They also have samosas, chips with hummus, and a variety of gourmet drinks. There is some seating inside and 15 minute parking is offered.

I tried cilanter for the first time and loved it. When I walked in, I noticed it was exceptionally clean and I felt really welcomed by the employee. He was also very kind to explain the process of ordering a bowl and what each topping was. I ultimately built a very diverse and colorful bowl and it tasted amazing. There were savory flavors, sweet flavors, garlicky notes, and I was able to try each of the rices they had so it gave it that much more flavor. I would definitely come back and try a different bowl. Parking might be a hassle but side streets are usually the way to go.

Just what I needed at the end of a long day! They had a several rices to choose from, including Saffron Rice and turmeric rice. There were a bunch of toppings that worked really well together, including a cabbage and carrot mix, corn, cilantro, onions and some add ins for extra. For $10.95 for a bowl, I thought it was a decent portion (the same size as your average Chipotle bowl) and the flavors were spot on. You can choose your sauce at the end depending on the flavor profile you're going for (sweet and smoky, refreshing minty, etc) and I had enough to split into two different portions. Would also recommend the mini samosas to try!

If you're in the mood for some fresh, tasty Indian food but are short on time - Cilanter is the way to go! Convenient, fast-casual place with friendly staff with yummy bowls. Had the pleasure of trying their chicken tikka bowl, which included well-seasoned succulent chicken over a bed of fragrant rice and other fresh fixings. Check it out!

Cilanter is in the midst of Federal Hill and a new addition to the multitude of ethnic restaurants along Atwells Avenue. It's like an Indian buffet and a poke bowl bar had a baby. You pick your protein then add veggies and sauces piling everything from spiced chickpeas to mango into your dish. It's a fun way to mix it all up into a flavorful chaos of food. You can sit inside or outside and people watch while eating. This is a good choice for vegetarians as well. After dinner take a stroll down Atwells Avenue to savor the sights, sounds and smells of Providence.

FIREEE. 10/10. Ordered this honestly just wanting to try something new and this is probably one of the best things I've had in a bit. Everything is simple but it's very fresh and flavorful. I knew it was good even when my boyfriend devoured it.

Never had Indian fusion and I'm glad I tried it. Man that helped me was so friendly and helped me decide what I might like based on preferences. Ambiance could be quick in and out or chill eat in outside or inside. Definitely try it if you're even on the fence about it!

Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. RI food fights brought me in and you don't get access to the whole sandwich menu here, unfortunately you have to pick between their "Mushroom Bahn MI" and their "Screaming BLT". I went with the BLT since I wasn't feeling the vegan option. The description was "chili-hoisin glazed bacon | sliced tomato baby greens tomato jam | dill pickle pickled red onion chipotle aioli toasty thick-sliced white bread". Honestly, it was underwhelming. It had some tasty components but it was pretty average. The bacon was terribly weak. It was probably frozen precooked bacon that is heated and brushed with a hoisen glaze. I was hoping for some thick cut glazed almost candied bacon. Their avg. sandwich was around $16-17. If paying for that, I'd be left pretty disappointed. On top of that, it probably took around 35-40 minutes to get the sandwich. Again, pretty okay sandwich, the pickled onion, tomato jam and Chipotle aioli elevated things, but it's in vain with the bacon they use. Their other sandwiches sound good, so it's possible I'll visit to try them out at some point but can't see myself running back here after my impression with this BLT.

This is a training restaurant run by the Genesis Center for individuals looking for training in the food industry, a very worthy endeavor. We liked the fact that the first question we were asked was if we were attending an event, so they could pace our dining experience properly. I opted for 2 appetizers, the French Onion Soup ($8) & General Tsao's Cauliflower ($7) with a glass of Black Stallion Cabernet ($13). The soup had a hearty broth with plenty of cheese topping a nicely toasted crouton. The cauliflower had the perfect amount of heat... you could taste it but it didn't burn your mouth. Both were delicious & satisfying. My friend settled on a glass of Sauvignon Blanc ($11) as well as Chicken & Waffles with Chipotle Butter & Maple Syrup ($18), all delectable. For dessert, we shared a piece of Ricotta Cheesecake with Berry Sauce ($10), the perfect, not-too-sweet ending to our meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive... perfect! The entire meal for two, including the 18% included gratuity & a $5 Trinity Rep discount, was around $85. I recommend making reservations, particularly if you're attending an event. The 18% service was automatically added bringing the total just under $100. A restaurant worth patronizing.

We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them.
